Monday Taco special and oh so yummy.
    Denise S.

I recently gave it another try and was impressed with my selection this time. Monday's special is 3 tacos, a consume and a drink. It was a good bargain and the flavors were so good. I will be coming back to try more. Food Is fresh and the employees were really helpful. Give it a try it will not disappoint.

You know a place making their own tortillas in house is completely legit! The restaurant is counter service. They have several tables inside and a small patio outside. We placed an order at the counter, choosing several items to try. My measure of a taco spot are the birria and al pastor. We tried several of the street tacos. They were delicious, if not a little heavy handed with the diced onions. The protein tender and flavorful. The chips and guacamole are really good, as is the salsa. The drip tacos were the star of the meal. Perfectly crisp full of tender beef. The consume was full of flavor. They did not have a liquor license when we visited. They offer soda fountain, and typical Mexican drinks. They also offered house made horchata and a tamarind drink. Both were delicious. I plan to visit them during breakfast hours. They offer chilaquiles, which are my absolute favorite.

I've been trying to visit this place for a while now, but every time I went, they were closed, even though Google said they were open. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, my craving for birria got real, so I went online to check they if they were open and to see if their online ordering works. Thankfully, it worked. I ordered the Birria tacos for pick-up and they were yummy and packed with flavor. On Sunday, there weren't many places open at 9:30am. Luckily, Taco Spot was open, so we decided to go there. My friend ordered the birria tacos and the surf and turf burrito bowl. I was so tempted to get the birria tacos again, but I wanted to try something else, so I got the asada burrito with fries combo instead and regretted it! I was a bit disappointed with the burrito because it was pretty bland. It is a little better once you smother it with the house sauces, but I probably won't be getting their burritos again. Burrito bowls may be better. I definitely want to try their birria ramen next time, too. We also got their Melon flavor Agua Fresca- Refreshing! Apparently, this is a chain restaurant that originated in Arizona. Cool decor inside Spacious parking lot Friendly service Clean restrooms

Service was quick and the staff was nice! The birria was just okay in my opinion. Love the 2 hot sauces/salsas they have. If I'm in the area I'd try it again and try the birria ramen next time. It's very causal and they do have a good variety of combos to choose from.

Only reviewing the food as i have never been inside .I found them on grub hub and ordered the street tacos i got addicted and ordered them 3 days in a row..well the chicken is fine, birria ok, carne asasda not very flavorful but fine..al pastor. Was fire very good the first 2 days but the 3rd day the meat was different like a ground pork not what I had the 2 days b4..tried all 3 of there augas pretty good as well ..but today I ordered melon again and got Jamaica and 2 times they gave me no sauce for my tacos hahaha ..anyway try them out at least it's a hit or miss on delivery .rice and beans pretty good as well.. also the green sauce is really good spicy but not too bad ...the orange sauce looked and smelled like throw up but it had a nice flavor and good amount of heat! Just go and enjoy the food

    Chicken protein bowl

I guess my expectations for this place were a little too high. I ordered lunch here for takeout, and I think the best way to describe the food and my experience was underwhelming. I had a chicken protein bowl, which comes with grilled chicken, rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. My partner had the al pastor protein bowl made with rice, beans, cheese, onions, and cilantro. They weren't necessarily anything special or that I'd need to eat again. Also, I think the bowls are a little on the pricey side for such simple ingredients. We shared a couple chicken tacos, and they were super small, dry, and crumbly. Once again, nothing special or anything I'd need to have again. Everything we ordered was well-packaged for easy takeout, so I will give them that. I'm glad I tried The Taco Spot, but I'll stick to my favorite spots next time.

They share a parking lot. I was welcomed upon entry and helped immediately. They had two juice samples available. I tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor it was ok. I ordered the birria tacos and they were ok too, could've been flavored a little more and I had to check to make sure cheese was on there because I couldn't really taste it. I have had better. The fries were lightly coated and crispy; my favorite part of the meal. The sauces come in bottles put on the table as customers sit. I'm hoping they're cleaned between people eating their tacos and touching all on the bottles (germaphobe in me). Worth a try, if I'm in the area I may try it again.

    Ramen with steak plus flavor
    Samantha H.

This is my first time in. I love tacos so this is a fun experience. The two tacos I had was unbelievably flavorful with steak and a sauce that was out of this world. The Ramen was like heaven packed with steak and spices this is unlike anything I've ever had. Served with in fifteen minutes and hot let's add extra on the yummy. Yall ready with the power YELP has invested in me I now pronounce TTS to be pure flavor and family safe. You got to take grandma to this place. Five stars does my happy dance. This experience was awesome!

I had been wanting to check out Taco Spot since I heard a birria ramen eatery had opened in the local area. Upon entry the restaurant was crowded, warm, and humid. Seating is available in dining room and outside. The staff were friendly. I ordered birria tacos, birria pizza, birria ramen, birria quesadilla, a bean and cheese burrito, and an agua fresca. I must admit the agua fresca was refreshing on such a hot and humid day. The Birria Tacos and consommé were rather simple in flavor, mostly salty and onion forward. The birria pizza which was essentially a layered quesabirria came with consommé, pickled jalepenos, and nacho cheese, the flavors were simple here as well, the nacho cheese was overly salty, akin to Rico's canned nacho cheese sauce, the pickled jalapeños were the highlight when it came to the birria pizza. The birria quesadilla was essentially the same experience as the birria pizza, but on a smaller scale, with no jalapeño or nacho cheese. The birria ramen was a delightful contrast to the birria options, the broth, combined with the birria, ramen, and onions, really brought more complexity in the flavor that was presented, to note the onions on most of the birria dishes were raw, the fact that the ramen broth cooked the onions and released the locked in flavor, really helped elevate the birria ramen experience. The bean burrito had a solid amount of refried beans and was filled with cheese, nothing amazing about the beans or cheese flavor wise, however it will please someone looking for a simple bean and cheese burrito. Overall the experience was solid but the tastes and offerings could be improved, the prices were a little high for the offerings, the location was a bit overcrowded, I'd describe it as a middling birria experience. The only stand out and reason I'd recommend checking out Taco Spot is the birria ramen.

Delish. Will be back to try more. Absolutely loved the mango chili the mango smoothie itself is better than most places I've had. The drink lasted me two days lol

I got one each of the asada and pastor tacos, they were fabulous. They come with plenty of onion and cilantro on top, as well as an almost creamy salsa. Zero complaints. I gave the shrimp ceviche a try as well--the flavor was on point, however the avocado had seen better days. The shrimp was still a little gray as well. It was a very generous portion though, for one tostada--definitely not complaining! ;) I'm excited to eat my way through this menu--so, so happy to see more authentic cuisines in the Saint Charles area.
