Tried this taco spot because i was passing by and honestly it did not disappoint. Everything tasted super fresh and actually had flavor (which sounds basic but you know not every place gets that right). The birria was cooked really well, the tortillas were solid, and the salsa had a nice kick. Portions were good for the price too, and the people working there were really helpful. Just one of those spots you randomly try and end up wanting to go back to again. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

I was very disappointed by the service that I had when I was picking up a mobile order today. The girl up front was not very friendly to me at all. I felt like a bother and all I asked for was my mobile order and asked for 3 extra hot red sauces. And she looked beyond annoyed and didn't say anything to me. The place is aesthetically pleasing but there could be a lot of improvements made. Bad- 1.) Disgusting- the bathroom had toilet paper rolled up and placed on the handle bar with 2 empty rolls of TP. 2.) Hand soap was watered down. Thank god I always have hand sanitizer 3.) Customer service 10/10 Friendly staff. I came in 30 min before close and was greeted by a young gentleman opening the front door for me and in a great mood, smiling and welcoming. I approached the ordering area and told them my name. I knew I was coming close to closing so I called ahead my order. Call ahead process 10/10: I called and let the girl on the phone know this was my first time here and what does she recommend. She said the birria tacos so I ordered that with "light cheese" because I get eczema and have to limit myself anyways she takes my order I decided on two birria tacos and an order of carne asada fries ADD guacamole. She took payment over the phone. Carne asada fries 10/10 the fries were crispy and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The meat was good, seasoned well and had a perfect temperature to melt the cheese and give it a great cheese pull. They also had pinto beans in there which I really enjoyed. Birria tacos 4/10 I'm sorry to say that the birria tacos were just eh. The meat was lacking moisture for what I consider birria they were not served with consumé these tacos were giving more "shredded beef" than birria. I ate about half of each one. Guacamole 2/10 there was just so much onion and tomato and barely any avocado, this was more like pico de gallo with a little avocado drizzle or something idk. I walked in and there was 2 people waiting for food and no one in line. I ordered just a mango magic. The drink was not a slushie because she said it wasn't working so I had her just add ice to it. The drink itself was good. But why was I there waiting for 20 min for a drink???? The workers are the slowest moving people ever. The lady waiting for 4 burritos was there for an hour waiting for their food. I get that you're new but train your people to have a sense of urgency. One girl walked back and forth and slowly put churros in the case. I have been to good Mexican places that could run circles around these people. It's crazy to have an hour waiting and no people in line. It's crazy that it took 20 min to pour a drink. Based off all the reviews from all the other locations, that seems to be the consensus across the board (pricing and portion). Customer service at this location was great. The staff at the front were friendly, the birria tacos were delicious and by far the best thing there. The green and orange salsa were also delicious. Additionally we ordered carne asada and chicken tacos with our order. This is on me because I may have not paid attention but American cheese should never go on tacos. The wait was kind long, the menu pictures make it look like it's going to skew semi authentic but not so much, the asada could use more char, and the cheese on the tacos, it was basically a soft jack in the box taco. The birria tacos were okay but I felt that meat and the consume could use more seasoning. The vampiro, I feel like if done correctly could be amazing but tonight it wasn't. What in the actual fawk?!?! A place known for birria runs out of birria 4 hours before they close. Oh wait, it gets better.... They don't tell you they are out until 35 minutes after you order it and are waiting for your food to go. Oh wait....It gets better yet.... Then they offer to refund your order or give you store credit. The store credit isn't store credit though. The ignorant lady running the register plays them off as store credit but all they are is $10 off your $30 or more order and you can only use one card per order What a joke! So circling back to the order.....while we continued to wait for our no longer birria order they send out 2 to-go orders and one other order of 2 tacos with birria... for orders placed after ours and they had no explanation for why. So eventually our order is ready....after 45 minutes.....And i tell the ignorant lady at the Register I'd like the refund she offered because I won't be coming back and she now states that if she issues the refund for the inconvenience that she'd have to take back the food they iust gave me. Well, after 45 minutes we just wanted to eat so l'll be charging this back but what an awful experience. I'm not sure how this location with 6-7 people working can't get orders out but the Chandler location with 3-4 people working can turn orders within 10 minutes at their busiest times. In the end....the al pastor alternative was ok but the rice was burned to the point it wasn't edible, beans were meh, and the carne asada quesadilla for $13 had about a tablespoon of carne asada in it and definitely not worth the $13. The service was awful and the cooks on the line were iust as bad. I can't tell you enough.....do not waste your time at this location. If you're going to take 45 minutes to get your food just drive to the Chandlor location or find somewhere else to eat. Negative: -the wait was very long in spite of there only being one other customer. -the beans were cold. Not room temperature but straight up cold. -the carne asada was dry and very tough -music was so loud couldn't hear the person across the table -for fast casual food, way too expensive. I was so beyond disappointed in this place if you are looking for good Mexican food this is not it their meat is trash I ordered the number five that is a three tacos beans and rice I paid over $18 with tax. They put American sliced processed cheese on my tacos the meat wasn't even fried well it was boiled carne asada. No flavor! Salsa's had no flavor they give you the smallest portion of rice and beans a fourth of a cup of each. Our family tried this restaurant/ fast food place over the weekend. After waiting 40 minutes to get our food here are the sad results to our meal. The 40 minute wait was not do to them being busy they are extremely slow in preparing orders to get them to customers. I believe that's why they haven't opened the drive through. I ordered 2 street tacos each one was $3.99 so basically $8.00 for two. Note the picture there was about a tablespoon of extremely small dice chicken and about 3 pieces of dice onion. The taco literally had no taste and tortillas were hard. My daughter ordered a "walking taco" with chicken. The chicken was the same as my street taco about 3 tablespoons. There were about 5 nacho Doritos and a large amount of nacho cheese. This came in an individual bag of Doritos that the top was cut off and was $10.00. We ordered 2 drinks. Total bill with tax $25.00. See pictures below of food. My rating on this place for food cost, value and taste a l out of 10. Avoid this location at all cost. This Taco Spot is terrible. The only good thing about this location is the food was decent at best. This location is a dismal representation of the company. This location is closed 80% of the time even though the hours say it's open. When they are open online ordering isn't available. The location has a weird smell to it. They do not know how to tell time. DO NOT schedule an order ahead of time. I scheduled an order for an hour later. I received a text that it was done 20 minutes later. So it was sitting on their counter for 40 minutes until I could get there. When I received my food EVERYTHING was soggy and drenched in oil. The burritos weren't labeled and the order was wrong. The first burrito was supposed to have pastor but we got asada. the other burrito had hardly any filling. Both were super super greasy and discolored. They looked like they dipped them in oil. Places is extremely overpriced couple of things to be aware of if you order online you would think it was a convenience and you would get a break instead they charge you extra when you order online so be aware of that. Also be aware that your tip will be included in there regardless of if they do anything or if you just walk in and pick it up staff is very confrontational. Don't seem to have any leadership in the restaurant, called to speak to the manager and there is no manager on duty 12 o'clock Saturday day after grand opening this place is extremely expensive. There's many Mexican restaurants in our area that have great food almost 5 dollars for a street taco is absolutely ridiculous. I bought two street tacos and a quesadilla pay almost $30. The location is perfect. The ambience is fun, welcoming and bright, perfect for family with kids and young adults. The staff is very friendly. It was my first time here. I came to check it out after I saw it in Instagram. I ordered 2 tacos. There were 3 tables waiting for their order when I arrived. My order took 30 min. You can average a ten minute wait on your order, per table that you see waiting upon arrival. It was obvious The kitchen is still going through the growing pains of a new business. For a native Mexican cook like myself the Taste of the food was 50/50. The steak taco was more veggies than meat. The pastor taco was EXCELLENT. The two salsas are good and Hot. The horchata drink was the Best I had in a long time. I paid $12 plus for the order. I wish them the best success, but I will wait to return. Had to walk back up to get our warm soda's because they were never handed to us. Finally after 20 minute wait they call my name for the to go order and they shorted us 8 of the 12 tacos we were supposed to get. I go up and say this cant be right, there is nothing in this bag, certainly not 12 taco platters all with rice and beans and 2 churro's. She said "well do you have your receipt?" Lol. Are you joking? No, you walked away and didn't provide me one. So then she says oh, we owe you 3 tacos. So my wife stands up there and has to open every item up one by one to see what we really got. Everything is wrapped in tinfoil and the. She finally admits we are shorted 8 tacos. The carne asada was under cooked. They are all street tacos despite indicating on their menu they also offer street tacos. Id hate to see how small they are! They give you a thimble of rice and cold mooshy beans without a trace of an actual bean in it and all to wash down with a nice WARM soda. Gross. This place wont last long.
