Tacos are really good and the salads are really good. The chips can be good, but they're not always fresh. The guacamole was brown and when I asked for fresh guacamole, I got a bunch of stank attitudes... the lady in the back said "it was just made yesterday". Welp that explains it. We were at the air museum next door and the people highly recommended The Taco Shed. Don't be fooled by the exterior it looked closed when we went but inside was very well decorated and larger then I thought it would be. You order at the counter and then they give you a number and bring the food out. We all ordered something different and we were all very satisfied with our choices. The food came out as it was ready so we did get some faster the mothers but it was worth the wait. Very nice employees and even recommended their special of two tacos of your choice with chips and salsa. We will definitely be back to try more next time. read more

There's so many different kinds of tacos here (my favorites are the Dirty Bird and Hwy 96), some named after local places and people, and they even have a Taco of the Month! The December 2020 TotM was Bacon Mac n Cheese. I gave this place 4 stars because of how they're handling COVID. This is just my opinion so you may see it differently than I do! Several times employees pull their masks down or have it below their nose. There isn't really social distancing inside and there isn't a divider between you and the cashier. Breakfast on a budget, sooo worth it!! Ordered chorizo burrito, from South Texas, so breakfast tacos are a thing, but these burritos hit the spot. Chorizo enough spice to keep it flavorful. My older daughter and I finally drove out to The Taco Shed last week to give it a try after hearing lots of good things about it. My daughter had a Green Street and Davis taco while I tried the Demon. We shared chips with guacamole and she'd corn. My daughter really liked her tacos as did I (however I didn't find mine in the least bit spicy). The tacos filling is very generous and tasty, the guacamole was good but could use a little more seasoning and kick for and the she'd corn was good. They were both tasty but for tacos that cost 4 and 5 dollars a piece, yes that's the price for one taco, you'd expect a more generous portion size. Pretty good is an accurate description. The best that I have ever had, no. I would not call this an authentic taco shop, but it hits the spot when you are hungry. It is more like, Americanized Tacos, but they do double up on your tortilla so that it doesn't bust as the taco comes close to your mouth. It is fairly informal and everyone goes to the counter to order which makes it fairly easy to go with people from work (no need to split checks). The tacos are fairly saucy so, if you are not into that; make sure that you ask for the sauce on the side. In terms of service, I didn't see anything extraordinary. This restaurant has a great look! When we walked in, we started smiling because The Taco Shed has a great feel and ambiance. One thing we noticed is that there really isn't a set up for larger groups. We had 6 in our group and all the tables were set up for 4 max. The wait staff was very nice and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. As we were looking for a place to sit, the manager came over to offer assistance. We ended up taking up an area in the center that was "U" shaped and facing away from each other. The food was good but not great. Our major concern with the tacos was that the tortillas were served cold, which was not what we expected or appreciated. I had a Smoked Brisket Taco on Corn and a new Seafood Taco on Corn. The brisket was good but it tasted like liquid smoke. Now the seafood taco (other than the tortilla) was spot on! It had a great flavor and I would have gone back for another, but I just couldn't get past the cold tortillas. We really liked the look and feel of The Taco Shed and the food was good. We would suggest this restaurant and will probably go back in the future. Suggestion: Ask for the tortillas to be cooked. read more
