Kristin took AMAZING care of us. The drinks are great and the food is good! The frozen margarita is the best.

I knew if the hot dogs looked like anything in the picture, they would be good, and they were, and I got two. Now, with the staff being so sweet and the hot dogs being so good, I returned the following day. This time I ordered the fried fish, and we got another delicious dish of shrimp and chicken. The sweet hostess, the young girl, told me I would really like my fish if it were fried hard. Well, she was so right. It came out steaming hot, and the seasoning covered the whole fish from the outside to the inside. The skin was so crispy and crunchy, I left nothing behind. Also, as you can see, I ordered the same appetizer on both days. It's a cheesy sauce with chunks of meat inside. By far, this is a favorite too. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu soon.

A California Burrito with guacamole, lettuce, tomato and sour cream is $15. When it was time for lunch, I noticed the burrito had a smear of sour cream, and very little lettuce and tomato, and NO guacamole. I called and they said they didn't have guacamole. It's a $5 difference. Mejor avisar a los clientes cuando faltan ingredientes. The burrito was tasty. But they should let customers know if they don't have the ingredients to make what they ordered, especially if they pay extra for those ingredients.

The cohesiveness of the staff, is phenomenal. Brandon and Michael were my service personnel, and the hospitality that they provided was nothing less than stellar. Seriously, I've dined at a ton of upscale eating establishments, but these guys are five star / Michelin star restaurant type of staff, minus the vest, cummerbund and bowtie Think I'm lying? Look at all my reviews. I'm staying across the parking lot at the rat roof inn. I've stayed in this hotel before, and have seen this place multiple times throughout the last year, I can't not see it, because it's directly outside my window on the third floor, but I'm just so overly critical about my Mexican food and never came in, but I did today. I really wish I would have given this place a try before. Anything less than four stars about this place is an absolute robbery. Even from a stranger. The amount of unity in this restaurant is uncanny, it definitely has a small town vibe (sorry, I HATE using that word). These guys know everybody, and it seems like everybody knows everybody! So seeing so many people as repeat customers is obviously a good sign. Michael and Brandon made me a very generous jalapeno margarita.. I'm a drinker, daily drinker, liquor, and after throwing this bad boy back, I was definitely feeling like a smooth barracuda! I sat there for a good couple hours. Conversating with other restaurant goers at the bar. Everybody is just so nice, that is why I love the South. I'm only pulling one star, because my food was cold. I hate I hate I hate to say that, because everything else was so spot on. Even in the middle of my rice it was a little bit over room temp and my enchiladas weren't melted at all.. I was going to ask them to take it back and heat it up a little bit longer, but as the night went on they got really busy so they were hustling and bustling taking care of other customers. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm here in the area. You guys have a great staff, and I know the food is good, a lot of the food that they carried by me to other tables was actually sizzling. I might have just got the bad luck of the draw. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. It was a rainy day and my dad and I had arrived before I started grad school at Ga Tech. Our server was an Electrical Engineering student at Tech. It was appreciated after the typical chaos of moving to a new city that he happened over here my dad and I talking and he shared he went to Tech. Over the 2 decades since, I've brought friends who live here and from outside the city to enjoy the great serving and kitchen staff. My wife and I have been many times including on the restaurant's anniversary night last fall. We are sorry to hear the landlord has decided to raise the rent and sell the property. Heather has been our server multiple times. She was our server tonight as we celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents, aunt and sister. From calamari to the desert platter and entrees in between, the food was incredible. The fried lobster tails are a must. The mouse has been my wife's favorite for years. The one note is Jacob the General Manager needs to learn to trust his servers. At the beginning of the meal I let Heather know despite being a party of 7 to just bring the check to me and I'll settle up with the other guests via Venmo. And, at as we were finishing dessert, Heather came by letting me know the next party for our table was had arrived and could she bring our check. I said yes. While Heather was getting our check ($490 Food & $600+ after tip) the Manager came by telling us we needed to finish up and have our check brought. When I asked the Manager to not make this an unpleasant experience and that coming by after Heather had just communicated the situation and I had agreed she told me I should share this feedback with the General Manager. She, Jacob (GM), and I stood on the front patio where I explained what I'm sharing now: Trust your Servers. He said they were front facing and so the management likes to meet the guests. Having your Manager tell us we need to get our check and leave is not the way to meet your guests. Chef Jack and his wife (the owners) are hospitable and trust and appreciate their staff. Jacob having his Manager micromanage the servers management of tables is nowhere close the focus on service the owners have had for 26 years. I hope that Jacob and the Manager take this as a learning moment that if you hire talented people your trust talented people to bring their talents to their job. Sure it was busy. But, that's why Chef Jack hired the staff he hired. Jacob the GM needs to increase the communication with his talented team instead of using the excuse of being front facing to ever overstep their bounds on the relationship his servers have built with his guests. Heather introduced herself when we sat down. Jacob did not - nor should he have. Heather did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome, have food and drink we enjoyed, and even recognizing my wife's birthday with her favorite desert. And when the time came she handled coordinating bringing the bill and having us free the table so a new group could enjoy an evening at Agave. Jacob and the Manager need to trust their staff more. Micro-management is never a good look for your staff's morale or your guests' impressions. Please go see them for Jan 31st 2026 when they close. The servers are all wonderful as are the owners. And the food is like nothing else in Atlanta. The management simply needs to trust the talented staff from front to back of house with whom they get to work. If they're ever in doubt if a server is either providing the level of service they expect or turning tables at the rate needed to keep pace with reservations then talk to the server. The server needs to own their tables. Management should truly be of service to their staff - and you can only do that with trust and communication. Customers should never know management had a single question if the sever was doing what's needed. Because it's a bad look to come by twice about being the check. Especially when the 2nd time is in between the 1st ask if they could and the server bring the check. Of note, I already had my credit card out so that I could hand it to Heather as soon as she returned with the check. And in front of the manager, I handed Heather my credit card. Everything else was great. But, why rush guests?

Our party arrived early and he didn't hesitate to look for seating. We landed a seat in the loft. Yayyyy. He later came by to check on us. Corey was hands down the best waiter he was extremely attentive, the food was served quickly. Shout out to the cook and the bar tender (Sharhara, I think )as well!!! Everything was delicious, the drinks ,appetizers , the meals, and the dessert. The manager,Tatum, came up to check on us and this sealed the deal to the best experience ever. The entire staff was just amazing. The ambiance was great, as I stated we landed in the loft overlooking the restaurant. I've been here more times than I can count and I'd never had the opportunity to sit up there. I choose a good spot to celebrate my birthday.

I arrived at this establishment at 7:27pm on Thursday, Sept 30 to do an Uber eats delivery. I had two orders, one was ready as soon as I arrived and the other they said would be 20-25 minutes. I usually don't wait that long but it was the last trip of the night for me and usually time flies. I go back in 3-4 times, and they're still saying the food isn't ready. When I walked back in for the second time at 8:00pm they said give them 30-45 seconds they're bagging up the order. Then the person giving people the orders stated, "oh you're still here for that erika order.. here we forgot to give you the other part of it"... well I see you all don't check the full order before sending it out. 8:27 rolls by... 8:45 rolls by and I finally get the food order. Remind you it was only 9 items they ordered 2 tacos, a quesadilla, nachos and a drink, etc. nothing crazy and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes! Nearly 2 hours to distribute the food to the delivery driver, ME! This is absurd and awful customer service. I was not offered a drink for my wait time, the manager didn't come out and apologize for the inconvenience, nothing. Just ridiculous tbh, a person from another establishment was more helpful than them. Also, what turned me off this experience was other people everytime I walked in were getting refunds! & I understand it's 30 other establishments within that one building, but it was specifically for Birria- ATL each time. That's the problem! They'll never get my money.. I rather starve than wait 20 years for some tacos and Mexican food. Hard to support a black owned business with awful customer service like this one. Smh. I didn't end up leaving until 8:45 I got there at 7:27pm.. so you make your decision on if you want to try this monstrosity of a place! Ps- the hostess/receptionist guy says this happens everyday, they're backed up daily. Maybe it's time to close down, rethink that business plan and start over from scratch cause this isn't the business for you if customer service and timelessness are not your top 2 priorities when running a FOOD/hospitality business.
