We were staying at the B&B here so it was very convenient to just walk over to have dinner. And, it was a great dinner for a very fair price. When we made reservations, there was a dinner deal if you'd go before 7:00. For $20 you get two cocktails and a starter. The cocktails alone were about $10 each so this is a good deal. The servers were good, but we're little to frantic. There were only two of them so maybe they felt frantic, but the service was just fine. You can sit inside or outside, and people with young children seemed to prefer the outdoor choice. The food was very very good! See my photos for details. For two entrees, an app, three cocktails, plus tip it was u see $75! We've had worse dinners for way more money so we were happy about that price.

This place is quite the experience. The restaurant is small and intimate. The service is pretty good, it was a little slow but it was also in the middle of Hurricane Ian so tha might have slowed down the staff. The food absolutely makes up for it though. The wait was a little long but I think it's because they really do cook each plate per order. The huntsman chicken was so good and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and garlicky. The glazed carrots were delicious as well. My husband had the filet mignon and it literally melted in my mouth. We are staying at the inn again and rather venturing out to another restaurant we will be back at the Table tonight again.

In this tiny romantic town of Edenton, North Carolina, this may be one of the few "fine dining" restaurants. May of 2016, my "then boyfriend," who later that night became my fiancé, made a surprise reservation for us to dine here for our 5th anniversary. It is attached to the Inner Banks Inn, on E. Albemarle Street. (Everything is on Broad street, E. Albemarle, or Queen Street.) Very easy to find, and easy to park as well. Inside, you'll see that it's very small, maybe 10-12 tables, so reservations are a must, especially on weekends and popular holidays. They had a little place card with our now last name on it. Service was superb. Excellent and very attentive staff, which I find is usually the case at fine dining restaurants. For drinks, he had a Moscow Mule, and I had the Edenton Bay Cocktail. For dinner, he chose the Bison Short Rib, and I had the "Painted Hills Beef Striploin with asparagus, puréed fingerlings, port veal jus, and chanterelles." Basically fancy terms for steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, and small mushrooms. I only know the detailed description because I looked at my description on my Yelp pic. Lol. For dessert, we had the creme brûlée. Food was delicious! Everything was perfection, from start to finish. Memorable last dinner as a girlfriend. *insert heart eyes emoji.*

The food is incredibly good here. I had a bad experience waiting over an hour for our food to arrive. The staff apologized and compensated us for the wait. Once I tasted the food I wasn't as upset. It was amazing. PROS: Scallop dish Nice inside CONS: Small portions

went here for my father's birthday. food was delicious, service was excellent. i got the salmon, it was expertly cooked. the only complaint would be that they didn't have crab cakes (ive gotten them there before and they were soo good), but everything was great. looking forward to going back soon ! (ps the lavender drink was so good!) thanks for everything !

Brunch- steak and egg scramble. Really delicious!

I had the tuna, and my husband had the lamb shank. Both were perfectly cooked and came out with a beautiful presentation. The owner came to our table and helped us select the perfect wine to go with dinner. We never order dessert, but we ordered the lemon poundcake strawberry shortcake. The poundcake was made by the owner's sister. Everything is homemade. The inside of the restaurant is very artsy. The owner has a flair for decorating and there was lots of beautiful artwork and fresh flowers. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Back Again -- and Still Blown Away!…read more Stopped in last night with five other guys as we made our way up "the ditch" to Falmouth, MA -- and once again, Spoon River delivered the unexpected magic that only Theresa and her team can provide in this hidden gem of a town. From the second we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. Theresa greeted us like long-lost friends (with a hug on the way out too -- who does that anymore??), and our server Sam was spot-on: attentive, relaxed, and knew the menu like a pro. Now, the food. Oh man, the food. Fried Green Tomatoes: Showstopper. Perfectly crisp, full of flavor, and just the right tangy punch to kick things off. Main courses -- each one got rave reviews from our crew: * Pork Chop (2 of us): Juicy, thick, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I had ribeye envy once I tasted it! * Seared Ahi (2 of us): Beautifully done, fresh and flavorful with a gentle sear. * Filet: Cooked perfectly. Nothing else to say -- it just melted. * Ribeye (mine): Medium rare, spot-on, but yeah, I'll admit it... I'd order the pork chop next time We pulled two great bottles of wine from their Wine Room (so reasonable!) and ended with some bonus sips -- Blanton's bourbon, which took the evening to the next level. And the desserts? - Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: Rich, gooey, just what we wanted. - Cinnamon-Forward Carrot Cake: Moist, spicy-sweet, and totally worth saving room for. The whole experience felt like something you'd find in a big city -- only here, it's surrounded by local art, genuine hospitality, and a true sense of care. Final word? If you're anywhere near Belhaven, detour here. If you're coming up the ICW, make this your stop. And if you're lucky enough to chat with Theresa -- tell her we said hi, and we'll be back. Because we will. Thank you, Spoon River -- for once again reminding us how special a meal can be. #FoodieFind #HiddenGemEats #SouthernCuisine #FarmToTable #SmallTownBigFlavors #ChefOwned #LocallySourced #FoodThatWows #ICWAdventures #CruisingTheDitch #GreatLoopLife #BoatLife #MarinaEats #DockAndDine #BelhavenNC #VisitBelhaven #NCFoodie #HighlyRecommend #MustTry

After numerous trips I still can't put my finger on what exactly is done differently at Blu to outperform so many fantastic restaurants. It's as if they have somehow managed the flavors of a Michelin restaurant with plating that isn't so... boring and sterile. Portion sizes are more than adequate, none of that one taste nonsense here. The service is always fantastic, professional and friendly. The owner is occasionally willing to share recipes with you and has never disappointed me with a recommendation. The cocktails? Just "wow". Perhaps what makes this place so fabulous is that they manage to do so well in so many categories. I'll consider that more in depth next time I make a reservation which may just have to be today. Speaking of, if you don't make a reservation, don't be disappointed when you don't have a seat. This isn't a place you can always walk in and sit down. They don't have many tables and it's obvious that they aren't the type of place to sit more people than they can take care of. There was no one there to greet us when we arrived and no one at the desk when we left. We never felt welcomed - the staff was not particularly friendly and we felt like no one cared we were there. We toured the venue early April 2025 with wedding coordinator Jennifer Byrum and loved the Inn and the Mulberry Sound space. Jennifer took notes on a legal pad with all of our details during the tour and promised us a great planning experience, open communication, and that they only book a limited number of weddings each year so each event can have the best service possible. At the end of April 2025, we called Jennifer to save our date and pay our deposit! During this call, we had to give Jennifer all of the details again that we saw her noting during our first meeting, this should have been a red flag. We immediately got a receipt for our deposit and were told we would get the contract in the next day or two as well as the info on room-blocks, vendors ect. Four weeks went by and we heard nothing. We checked in via text to Jennifer a few times and never got a response. We called and emailed in case Jennifer was out and we never heard back from anyone at Inner Banks Inn. Finally, at the end of June on a Friday at 8pm, Jennifer called with the Proprietor, Susan. Susan started explaining that they changed software systems and that was the reason for the delay in the contract. They began with wanting to confirm all of our wedding package details again, for a 3rd time, then finally asked us to confirm the wedding date we booked. Once we said the date, they said they had accidentally double booked the date, blaming the software change-over for the mistake. But said that we did book the date first so we could have first-dibs if we wanted to move to a better weekend or keep our date. We wanted to talk with family and friends before moving dates since we already gave many a heads up but they needed to know RIGHT then (after 4 weeks of no communication with us, they needed to know immediately). So, we chose to keep our date, and asked exactly when we would be getting our contract now. They promised again we would get it in a day or two now that the new program was up and running. Another week went by and there was no contract and no communication. Finally Susan and Jennifer called back and Susan said there was "no fair way to prove who booked first" and that it was impossible to say, so as a result we could not keep the date. Even though we had a dated receipt from when we paid our deposit, she refused to use that as any timeline proof, end of conversation. After more delay and many phone calls (unreturned), we got our deposit money refunded. Susan promised to refund us also for the money we already spent o, save-the-date cards ect, but we have yet to see any of that refund, 8-weeks later now. In summary: - wedding date was paid for and yet double booked - horrible communication - we were left with money spent out of our wedding budget, 2-months behind schedule, and without a venue - Jennifer and Susan are a huge disservice to what would otherwise be a beautiful venue.
