The only complication is that the gulls feel the same and are not dissuaded by copious Old Bay. I have enough siblings though that I am comfortable eating with one hand and 'shooing' with the other. Anyway, all that is to say that Surf's Up is a great place to pick up seafood for a low country boil. And FYI, the friendly staff will boil it up for you. They sell a number of meals but to really get the full Monty we ordered a steamer pot. They cooked it for us for a few and we brought it back to the camper. What we got was huge ( feeds 4-6) and cooked perfectly. There 4-5 ears of corn on the cob, sliced red potatoes, a ton of large shrimp, clams, and two snow crabs. All cooked in Austin's rub. The rub is great, very tasty and a touch of heat. with it came butter, lemon, and house made cocktail sauce. It is, hands-down, the best cocktail sauce I've ever had. The steamer pot is a 5-star menu item. We also ordered hush puppies which were okay but nothing special. I would go back again for sure. Here is a tip though: if you want a steamer pot you need to call when they open at noon and get it on the books. Plan ahead or don't bother! Ohh, and make sure you have an ice-cold beer with it.
