After talking to her, I could tell she knew really did understand our needs . She even provided in detail the steps she takes to avoid cross contamination and she provided a list of ingredients used, so we could cross check. Dealing with Lori was so nice. Lori told me how and why she COULD do the things we needed done, instead of so many other bakeries that told me why they couldn't, or what I would have to settle with/for. Baker on the Block truly exceeded my expectations! I can not even begin to tell you how nice it was to know that we could truly enjoy this cake without fear of allergic reaction! The best surprise was how good the bake tasted! This was one of the most flavorful cakes I have ever eaten. The butter cream frosting tasted mild and sweet, not waxy like at all. The chocolate cake was light and fluffy and my fork easily cut right through it. Lori is also gifted at cake decorating. As I said, I needed a theme cake, the request was for an Outlander related cake with the stones. Outlander is not my thing, I had no idea what I needed. So Lori did some research and presented an excellent design option very quickly. She brought the solution to me where other bakeries were looking to me, and I had no idea. I appreciated Lori making it really, really simple for me. The cake was ready on time and in a sturdy box. When I got the cake home my wife saw the cake and was very pleased especially with the stones on top and the designs on the side and top the top...she said it was PERFECT!!! Lori and Baker on the Block did an awesome job of making me look like one smart husband!!! Baker on the Block can definitely create a cake for any occasion! Her prices are very reasonable. Sireen's Instagram shows off her many artistic talents. She was recommended to us by our party planner, Alina Tariq, and by others. She has very unique flavor options (pistachio rose, Ferrero Rocher, pina colada, Kashmiri chai, caramel machiato, almond coffee toffee, and numerous others) for cake flavors. She works with the family to come up with the perfect design for the cake and the theme of the wedding. She offered sample tastings, and it was tough to narrow down to the number of tiers we had because we liked way more flavors than the tiers we were having. Sireen's cake was perfect for the wedding. It was as if our decorator made it. Everything matched the mood of the wedding so well, and it was also set up on time (at the last couple of weddings we attended, the baker was still setting up the cake during cocktails). Many of our guests and family members complimented the cake's taste and flavors. Unfortunately, I did not get to taste any during the wedding since we were so busy hosting. We did order an additional cake right after the wedding for my husband's 50th. I requested a new cake flavor: banana pudding! It was a hit, and I got to eat it this time too! It was an exact replica of his car, duplicated from the pictures I gave them. The color, details, license plate, the wheels, the cake was amazing. We had the cake displayed on a high table and it was truly a beautiful piece of art. Agnes and Carlos are creative talented artists, they should have their own TV show:) Also, their daily assorted desserts are wonderful and if you ever have a party - you will find eye catching desserts that taste amazing.
