CELIAC COMMUNITY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT CAKES BY KIM…read more I can't say enough about Cakes by Kim! My daughter has celiacs and we are always so apprehensive when ordering foods from other places. Last year, I ordered her graduation cake from here and kept my fingers crossed - it was so delicious! No one could believe it was gluten free! And she had zero GI issues. Fast forward a year later to her birthday, and she asked me for a cake. Why shop around when I already know where the best is?? I drove an hour round trip to get my daughter a bakery cake because it's that good! Kim is also great at communicating. When I questioned ordering the chocolate shavings- Kim snapped a picture of the ingredients and sent it over. (made in a Facilty that processes wheat) - Kim had no problem adjusting the order. The staff takes great care for food allergies and the taste of the cake does not suffer for it. So delicious!!!! IFYKYK - finding places you can trust to handle and deliver quality, delicious. gluten free food is no easy task.... No more looking, Cakes by Kim is the place to go for your Gluten Free bakery cake!

I should actually give no star. The bakery is actually not accepting orders but you would not know…read morethat by their website. Evidently the owners are in the process of "relocating" and have been since October. But the website gives no indication of this. You have to call to find this out. I placed an order on line on Friday, December 17. The website allowed me to pay and I received an email confirmation for my order that said I would receive an email in a one or two days indicating that I could pick up my order. By EOD Monday I heard nothing so I sent an email. There was no response and that is when I made a call and that is when there was a message they were not taking orders. I left a voice mail messaage regarding the order I made and heard nothing. I filed a complaint with PayPal. On Thursday, December 23, I finally did recieve an email indicating that I would have my money refunded. This is a very shoddy way of doing business. It has left a bad taste with me and will not do business with the bakery once the "relocation" is completed. Some points If you have not been taking orders since October why is there no indication of that on the website? Or better yet why is the website even active? Why does Google Maps say you are open? It took almost a week for me to be notified that they would not be able to fill the order. This was meant as a gift. Pretty careless to wait till two days before Christmas and a full week to notify me. Bottom line bad experience and a real shoddy way to do business.
