This is one of my favorite bakeries and I have visited their old location (a little further north) and now they are located behind chevron gas station. I have placed an order online (24 hours ahead) and also walked in to pick up cupcakes last minute. They usually have a nice selection with seasonal flavors. I love their cupcakes. Wonderful little bakery with Asian flavored cakes. We tried a dozen of their cupcake flavors and each one was great. The frosting was creamy and the cake was light, and not too sweet. This bakery is one of my favorites in town! They are known for their authentic Asian flavored cupcakes and cakes. I've tried 17 different cupcake flavors here and there wasn't one I didn't like. I'm a durian lover so my go to is their durian cake for family gatherings. I even went in last minute on a Saturday to see what kind of cake I could get last minute and I lucked out with a durian cake that they already had available. Typically you have to order cakes at least 72 hours in advance and cupcakes at least 24 hours in advance. The easiest way to order is online via their website. To me their desserts are the right balance of fluffiness and sweetness! Location wise, this place can be easy to miss so keep an eye out for the plaza with a Chevron gas station and China Garden restaurant. They are located on the left end of the plaza next to a dry cleaners. Inside is cute and clean and the staff and chef are always so friendly. Best cupcakes I have ever tried! The cake is super moist and the frosting is so light and fluffy. All of it has the perfect balance of sweetness for someone who's not a fan of the grocery store bought cakes. Only thing is you have to refrigerate or the frosting will melt. Not only the texture, the flavors are unique with Asian inspired ones. Each time I go I get different flavors, so I've tried most of the Asian inspired ones. We typically get the cupcakes so we can get a little bit of everything but the cakes are also very good if you are a one flavor enthusiast. They specialize in gourmet cakes and cupcakes, with a focus on unique asian flavors that you typically don't find at your run of the mill bakery. In my opinion this is the best place in the Atlanta area for gourmet cupcakes. The cupcakes are soft, moist, and flavored with real fruit. The frosting is made with cream so it is really soft and not too sweet, it's perfect! You can find the Sweet Spot in a small shopping plaza in Duluth with free parking directly in front of the store. You can walk in or place an order in advance. You will find so many unique flavors here and they also change things up once in a while and add seasonal flavors. In addition to cupcakes they also make cakes, online cake orders cutoff 72 hours prior to the day of pickup.   Need to know - cupcakes must be kept refrigerated and can maintain at room temperature for up to 2 hours. Container sizes come in counts of 1, 2, 4, 6, and 12. Online cupcake orders are cutoff one day prior to the day of pickup.   On to the good stuff... I ordered 6 cupcakes this visit for a total of $14.94, not including tax or tip. It was a difficult decision, I ordered; Taro, orange creamsicle, peach, Thai tea, and two lychee cupcakes. Most, if not all, cupcakes have cream in the middle of the cupcakes. Flavors: - Mango - Thai tea - Banana cream pie: one of the strongest fruit flavors of them all - Pandan: my favorite! - Taro - Durian: the consensus there was a stronger butter flavor than durian. We were told you can freeze the cupcakes up to 5 days. We froze ours and defrosted them in the fridge during the day. I think I prefer eating them like this slightly more than eating them at room temperature (which we had done previously). I love all the different flavors of cupcakes! I was so excited to try all these flavors and more. The durian was not my favorite! It reminded me of sweet gasoline, however, it was worth the try! My favorite flavor was the taro, pandan and Jasmine in that order. I don't know what the secret it but these are the softest cupcakes I have ever had and they held up during the 45 min drive and an hour stop, until we no made it back home. These are my favorite cupcakes I've ever had, and I'm not even typically someone who enjoys eating cupcakes. Any time I have guests in town, this is my default dessert to buy for them. The flavors are VERY exact to what their supposed to be. If you ate one without knowing the flavor, you'd know what flavor it is as soon as you bite into it. It's very impressive how they have such a variety of flavors and still could make each one so exact and good. I also love that their cupcakes aren't too sweet and have the perfect amount of icing on top. Normally I have to scoop off some icing from my cupcakes because it's too sweet or overbearing. Sweet spot is perfect amount in quantity and sweetness. It's enough that you can get the sense of the flavor, but not too much that you wouldn't want to finish the whole thing. Their flavors are also truly a variety. I've only had the Asian flavors because I felt like those are the most unique, but I've loved every single flavor I've tried. I believe their lychee is the best flavor, but I've tried the Thai tea, jasmine tea, milk tea, pandan (this one is an insanely exact match to how pandan tastes), taro, sweet red bean, and matcha. So many bakeries make cupcakes and charge well over $5 for one, with nothing but decorative icing on them! I ordered 2 Cookies n Cream, 2 Red Velvet, 1 Matcha, and 1 Lemon. Came here after our Yelp Event because well, I wanted to try the other flavors that I didn't get to try for the event! The flavors that I ordered and sampled were: Banana Cream Pie, Pandan, Mango, Thai Tea, Durian, Taro The standout flavors I thought were the Pandan and the Taro with the Banana Cream Pie as an interesting choice. The cream pie stood out because it had a super strong banana flavor, almost akin to eating banana bread as part of the cupcake. Mixed with the icing I thought it was great. Pandan I have to say was awesome as well, as it's always hard to find Asian flavors and especially in a cupcake form. Ordering is simple, they've closed the inside of the store due to COVID-19, but you can order it on a sheet of paper outside ring the doorbell and someone will come out and get your order with payment info. If you order cakes and you're driving a long distance, the staff will wrap the cake and also ice pack the cake as well which I thought was super thoughtful. We were going to freeze our cupcakes and they last 5 days after freezing and letting it thaw for about an hour before eating. The in laws enjoyed it and it was a surprise to everyone! He explained the whole process and how their cupcakes are different. You're supposed to leave them in the fridge and eat them cold. They make their cream in house. This is almost exclusively where some of my friends get their birthday and special occasion cupcakes now - I have literally never been disappointed and I've had their cupcakes many times over the past few years. I even had some friends cater this for their wedding! I usually don't even like cupcakes but I love sweet spot's. I love that their cupcake flavors include a lot of asian inspired ones that you can't find anywhere else - jasmine tea, pandan, taro, matcha, etc. They also have a lot of other more standard flavors such as strawberry, lemon, oreo, chocolate. All of them are fluffy and light and and not too sweet. I believe they also have rotating flavors each month or so. Last month I had a passionfruit one which was unsurprisingly delicious. The only thing you have to watch out for is that they are closed on Sundays, and somehow I always want them on Sundays or have events that I'd like to order for on Sunday. I can honestly eat a couple in one sitting because it's not overly sweet like cupcakes usually are. Now since I work in Duluth and there's a Yelp Elite week, I finally came. And back for some more. It is that good, like seriously.
