The ice cream here is absolutely delicious. Their banana cream pie is my favorite. It's made with real bananas and tastes so fresh. The candy shop part of the store is fun. There is a nice assortment of candies and at the front by the register they have chocolates that you can purchase. The only downside is the inconsistent offering of samples. When we came in yesterday, they were offering 2 samples for customers. Today when we went in, they said they weren't offering any samples. read more

I went into The Sweet Life because one of the signs on the outside of the building said "sorbet". Being a non-dairy sort of person, I had to see what frozen desserts they had. At the time I was there there were only 2 alternate choices to dairy: mango sorbet & lemon poppyseed frozen dessert. Since I can get the mango at most grocery stores I went with the lemon poppyseed. Good choice as the lemon provides a zesty punch. The base of this non-dairy "ice cream" is coconut milk. Not because they told me, but because I can taste the coconut. Also, there are some teenie tiny nuggets of coconut oil (Remember coconut "oil" is solid at room temperature). I got a single scoop. However, it's large. Sitting in an 8 oz cup in such way to require a domed lid. Much, much tastier than your average lemon poppyseed muffin. Those are seem to be artificially flavored and bitter. If I'm buying a poppyseed muffin I go with almond ones. In addition to my surprisingly good "ice cream", the store sells oddles of candies. Lots of good chocolate. I picked up a novelty candy purchase, a tin of Bob Ross, happy little tree mints. That's a semi-gag gift for my BFF. Nice place to wander around & bring some sweetness to your day. read more

Stopped in here while staying at Seabrook. They posted the cost of a single scoop of icecream as $6.00. They then rang it up for $6.50. The scoop was very small. I get that prices are going up, but this seems ridiculous. Just go across the street to the marketplace and buy a tub of icecream for 10.00 and share it. They also don't provide any samples, ever, which is unreasonable for someone paying $6.50 for a tiny scoop of ice cream. Pass. read more

Mediocre review...Simply because they do not provide sample tastes of their ice cream. I've never been to an ice cream parlor that does not give samples. Check out Mallard in Bellingham for an amazing ice cream place. read more

Excellent selection of sweets. My husband got some sour candy and I left with a few truffles. They were amazing! We were excited about the ice cream and it did not disappoint. Im lactose into and I was pleased that they offer 4 flavors of non dairy options. 2 dairy free ice cream and 2 sherbet. My hug or birthday cake ice cream on a waffle cone and I got a dairy free chocolate chocolate chunk on a waffle cone. It tasted amazing and my stomach stayed happy. Young man behind the counter was very thoughtful and attentive. The candy selection was really outstanding. They had all the right candies and then their box candies were lined up like books on a library shelf. They had a impressive selection of Pacific Northwest chocolates, and ice cream by Olympic Mountain. One of us had the vegan coconut almond and the other had a chocolate milkshake. Neither of us were disappointed by such wonderful tasting experience. read more

We tried a cup of the Blackberry Cheesecake ice cream. It was delicious! We would have likely purchased other cups to try but we weren't allowed to taste. No sample allowed. For a $6 small cup of ice cream, there's no perks. Other creameries would either let you sample or give you a larger scoop. The Server even mentioned that the Almond Toffee was her favorite. I guess we will take her word for it. A really small candy store with about a dozen flavors of ice cream to choose from. The funny thing is, we were given a complimentary card from the rental home for $5. It didn't even cover the cost of one small cup. read more

In the still developing town of Seabrook, I was the most impressed with this shop. Although not the the cheapest ice cream ever, you get really good quality...perfect for those summer days. If you love coffee flavored things, do yourself a favor and get the Espresso Flake. On a side note, if anybody has a sweet tooth and didn't pack any candy for vacation, this place offers a decent variety to pick up. I would've stayed longer to browse their selection since I had spotted some really different offerings, but tight spacing and one way foot traffic due to COVID precautions makes you speed up a bit to make way for others. read more

Fun candy choices, very pricey though. The ice cream is okay and very over priced for what you get- They don't do samples so don't get anything you normally wouldn't- I got lucky charms and yuck, stale tasting pieces- had I been able to sample I would not have chosen this. I get if people go overboard with samples but if they don't want to do samples they should at least have normal flavors in there. read more

So torn because my kids love it and the selection, but it's very over-priced, especially with candy you can find at any convince store- or even at grocery store down a few doors away. Almost $50 for the candy pictured below. But business seems to be good because it's always packed and crammed with people in that tiny store- so good for them! I do wish they would reconfigure the display set up somehow so the traffic flow wouldn't be so awkward. The Sweet Life is a sweet little sweet shop in Seabrook. Say that three times quickly! They scoop small batch local artisan ice cream and have a great selection of retro candy that will take you back...no WABAC Machine required. Mr. Peabody and Sherman thank you! I found two of my childhood candy faves here! Big Cherry and Mars Bars. Now if you're a fan of Mars Bars, you know how rare it is to find them here in the U.S. They were retired here years ago, brought back once or twice for a short period and now live happily over the pond in the U.K. Their first cousin, the Snicker's Almond Bar does still live here in the U.S. but (while good) it is just not the same as the Mars Bar. My friend reccomended we stop in Seabrook while we were on an Olympic Peninsula road trip to Ocean Shores and the town iteself is Insta/Yelp worthy. It is brand new looking, the Ocean is incredible, the people are so interesting and what is better than trying ice cream in a new space? I love that this is a little candy shop, as well as some very delicious ice cream. The social distancing was held to great standards as we were able to look around without having to worry about anyone else! We found candies while we were waiting to get to the ice cream counter and there was outdoor seating available! It was fantastic. The candy choices were a hard one to maneuver because there were so many options in a small space. The ice cream - classic chocolate and vanilla and it was perfection. I had an ice cream cone on the ocean and it made my day. Loved this little spot. read more

I would like to tell my most recent experience at Sweet Life. First by saying, my family lives in Aberdeen, WA and we drive to Seabrook at least every other week to go to dinner and then to Sweet Life to get ice cream for my daughter. Two weeks ago we did this normal outing and after dinner we let me daughter (2 years old) walk with us to Sweet Life as she was super excited for her ice cream. Unfortunately we ended up getting to the store at 7:01pm. The store closes at 7:00pm. When I checked in the window, there was still a customer inside, so I opened the door and asked if we could grab ice cream really quick. Before I could even finish my sentence, an employee told me we needed to immediately leave the store because they were closed. As he was standing there with another customer. My daughter proceeded to sob for ice cream for a good amount of our walk back to the car and drive home. While I understand stores close, I don't feel that my family deserved the attitude and lack of compassion/understanding from Sweet Life's employee. We will not be going back. read more

Ice cream was delicious! Five stars for the flavor! The shop looked fun and cute, though we didn't get to spend much time inside. Two stars for service; two of the ladies working were quite rude. We didn't have masks upon entering, but when they let us know they had some available we had no problem buying two masks from them for $1 a piece, and putting them on right away. However, the poor service beyond that was just off, and felt uncalled for. I asked to sample one flavor of ice cream since a lot of the flavors are unique, and we were rudely told it's not allowed due to Covid. When i proceeded to order an ice cream sandwich, I got a similar rude response of "we don't have those today". No explanation, nothing. Okay then We got our ice cream and left. Great ice cream/frozen shop next to Frontager's Pizza, so perfect for a light dessert after a big meal. It's crammed with all kinds of impulse buy domestic and imported candies and collectibles. My wife saw a gutted, old pedal car on the wall that she had as a young girl. I can tell you my wife has aged much more gracefully and beautifully than the car. The shop serves Olympic Mountain Ice Cream. The young man taking our orders was very kind to wait for me to choose mine. The four stars reflect the very limited flavor choices for ice cream and frozen yogurt. However, my Huckleberry with White Chocolate Chips ice cream was superb--and I don't usually order berry-flavored ice cream. I didn't see this flavor on the online OM list so perhaps it's among the exclusive flavors offered to ice cream shops. It was a cool (pun not intended) little shop run by very friendly people. We plan to go back to try more of the frozen flavors and, at least for me, some of the chocolate candies and peanut brittle that were displayed on shelves. read more

Variety of candy to choose from and have a few choices of ice cream. The butter pecan, I feel didnt taste like anything, was told it tasted like the salted carmal. The grasshopper pie was delicious. The salted carmal was also delicious. The chocolate ice cream is just like every other chocolate ice cream. Service was good. Learned depending on how busy it is they will change the ice cream to different flavors so if you went back later in the day it could be different ice cream. read more

Came for the ice cream, stayed for the gelato. Sweet Life has all your classic flavors, plus some special ones. I had a Tiramisu gelato that was one of the best cold desserts I've ever had, with actual bits of sponge cake, cream, chocolate chips, and coffee gelato base all wrapped into one wonderful cone. Pretty good ice cream with nice sized scoops. Price was a bit much but the scoops were at least decent. Selection is so with a lot of "novel" flavors. Could probably use a few more traditional flavors to round out the options. Girls working there weren't the friendliest bunch but they weren't rude.
