My husband is a Cookie Monster, and he loves him a classic chocolate chip cookie. Naturally, while walking town when he saw this spot, we were coming inside. We were greeted by the friendly Chris, who explained the cookies, made recommendations and chatted with us about how he came to be in town and where he's from - coincidence that we're from Virginia area?! Small world. In the end, we went with the two faves my husband couldn't choose between: classic chocolate chip and red velvet. These cookies were stellar. Perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside but not too crisp, and a little squishy on the inside. The red velvet had some creamy white stuffing inside that was to die for. I wanted to come back for more and more and get some for the plane but these cookies are so big, we decided two was enough for a three day weekend. Do yourself a favor and stop in here. Support a small business and also, eat these amazing cookies!

Ok so you are headed to Bar Harbor and you already know that Bar Harbor is bougie and upscale and all that. You also already know that there is really nothing there that isn't expensive. I mean, sure you can find some pretty reasonable priced things there in the millions of tourist shops they have because GURL! Bar Harbor has TONS of tourist shops and they basically all have the exact same thing as the next but for some reason....you have to go into all of them because maybe...JUST MAYBE...you will find that one unique thing that none of the other stores have. Good luck with that haha! One unique thing you will see is this place called...The Sweet Bite. Again, Bar Harbor...rich people, coastal town, rich people, beautiful homes on the ocean, rich people, fancy restaurants galore...and you guessed it...rich people lol. This was my first time in Bar Harbor and honestly, I CANNOT WAIT to go back! One reason being...The Sweet Bite! So when you go on holiday for some reason so many of us are just so ok with throwing money away at the most random of things. This place is a PRIME example of that. Their cookies are $7.49...for ONE cookie! ONE! Are they a good size? Sure they are. Should they be almost $8 for one? No cookie should ever cost that much. I hate that Crumbl is now almost $5! Crumbl is garbage now. They are not even remotely as good as they used to be. The Sweet Bite tho...OH. MY. GOD!!! Ok! So you know how you see chocolate chip cookies in commercials and some happy girl or guy takes a bite and they do that thing where they pretend they are about to have some fall out of their mouth and they quickly put their hand under their chin to catch whatever might fall? Then they look at each other and like giggle and you are left to think they are saying "omg! look at me! I almost dropped this!" or "omg! This almost fell out of my mouth! heheheheh" LOL! and the cookie is always so soft and gooey and the chocolate chips are so warm that the chocolate literally drips down....well.... Thats exactly how The Sweet Bite cookies are. You bite into them and the chocolate literally oozes and drips and NO thats not a bad thing because these cookies are FKING INCREDIBLE! ...I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E!!!! I have absolutely never had any cookie this amazing. I LOVE cookies! LOVE them! I rarely eat them anymore after basically kicking all sugary treats from my life. I still have treats, but nothing like I used to. Again, $8 for a cookie ..ONE cookie is criminal, but do I regret getting this cookie? a little LOL, but like 2% of me regrets it while the other 98% of me was SO happy to get one....so much so...I went back the following day and got another LOL. And now I wanna go back and one of the first things I will do....is go to Sweet Bite. These cookies put all the others to shame. Forget Crumbl, forget Insomnia, etc. OH WAIT! Sadly, this isn't a chain. However, in a way, I am glad it isn't. Look what happened to Crumbl and the quality of their cookies. Place spread like wildfire across the country and now the quality of their cookies went waaaaaay dowwwwwwn while the prices of their cookies went WAY. UP!!! They used to be $3.49. Thats a good price, still pricey, but a decent price for Crumbl. I hope Sweet Bite doesn't get greedy (or more greedy lol). They know tourists will pay for them, but still...I think the price now, even high as it is, is where it should stay. DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DEEEELICIOUS!!!! UGH! SO! good! Guy working there, glasses, dark hair, commented that he liked my mustache and the next day he met my dog and was nice to him....he was the nicest guy. Anyone who is nice to my little Alfred is ok in my book. He is truly a great employee and whoever hired him...did a great thing. He is a wonderful representation for that company. He's so good, he helps you forget that you are spending almost $8 on ONE cookie haha! Wait until you just walk by and smell this place. You won't be able to help yourself. You will for sure walk in and get one or two ...or a dozen. Imagine buying a dozen at $7.49 a piece x 12...plus tax...haha, over $90 for cookies and I GUARANTEE they sell them like that daily....because yes, again, they are FN INCREDIBLE!! When you hear "gourmet cookies" this is legit...a gourmet cookie. Check them out! I SWEAR TO YOU you will not be disappointed! If for some reason you are....I will automatically just assume you are a sad miserable person who looks for things to be sad at miserable about LOL. This is the happy cookie! Even after spending that much on one cookie....you take one bite and you legit forget that it was one of the most expensive cookies you have ever bought because they are THAT delicious! Thanks for reading, YelpereeSweetBIters! I so wish they could ship some of these to me in Idaho haha! Id be a happy btch! haha! Cheers!

Your go to cookie place - Fantastic cookie. It was warm, soft, gooey, with a little crunch. Everything you'd expect.

The Sweet Bite has one of the best cookies I've ever tried! If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a sweet treat. Although they were pricy, it was worth it for how delicious the cookies are and how nice the staff is. I tried the ferrero rocher cookie but they have a good variety of other flavors that looked great as well.

Was very excited to try this cookie after my parents hyped it up! It was definitely worth the hype. I tried the chocolate peanut butter but i wanted to try so many other ones. The cookies come out so warm and gooey. They are so soft and delicious. Every bite just melts in your mouth. The cookies are huge!! And so filling! I would definitely love to come back and try another flavor or get the same one! YUM!

Wow talk about homemade cookies made fresh! I went late at night and a lot of the cookies were sold out or in the process of being made. I really wanted a chocolate chip cookie but the helper said it would be a wait. So went with the Dubai chocolate cookie. Having been to Dubai and had the real thing there's no real comparison but the cookie was good. Dense in chocolate and hella sweet. It was $10 for a small but mighty cookie. Even for SF resident this still seems high. Other than that if you're out for a treat not a bad choice!

Friendly service. Chocolate espresso cookie was amazing!! Expensive, but delicious. Parking is tough around here. No place to eat inside, but the park is right across the street.

We were in Bar Harbor for five day and went here 3 times! Their cookies are sooo good! Our favorite is the Chocolate Peanut butter. Good thing we did some hiking at Acadia to make up for all our cookie intake! You have to make this a stop while in Bar Harbor

Hands down, the best cookies period. I would come back and stock if I could. Freshly baked with outer edge crispy and the warm on the inside.

Very small shop with a small selection of cookies. We got the chocolate chip walnut and chocolate chip espresso cookies and both were delicious! Only reason I gave 4 stars is because $7 a cookie was a bit much and if they were warm it would have been better. There is also no place to sit inside to eat so remember it's grab and go.

Warm and gooey on the inside, with a crisp outside. This cookies checks all the boxes, absolutely delicious! A Bar Harbor staple that you must stop by during your time here

FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FAAAANTASTIC! little bakery in Bar Harbor!…read more While I was on holiday in Maine I stopped in wherever to get my usual...I plain bagel, with butter..and a bottle of orange juice. Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

Lompoc is one of the most vegetarian friendly dinner spots in Bar Harbor…read more They don't take reservations and offer three seating arrangements: the patio, the bar, and a small inside area with four or so tables. I would have liked to sit outside on their cute patio, but it was full and the hostess said it would be a long wait, so we decided to eat inside. At first she directed us to a table in the bar but realized it was very loud (music and patrons) so offered to seat us in the other inside section. We had a view of a bocce match and the patio--definitely better than the bar, but not as nice as the patio. They were playing classic rock and the people at the table next to us asked to turn it down, and they were accommodated, which made for a nicer experience for us as well. The falafel wrap and Banh Mi (v) were very good and the chips can be substituted for a house salad or fries, which we did. The dressing was light and I enjoyed it. The highlight of the experience at Lompoc was dessert. Although there was nothing vegan on the dessert menu, our server suggested an "off the menu" rhubarb raspberry sorbet, which was excellent! And doesn't it enhance the experience when you feel like they're letting you in on something special?! I'd definitely return and try to get there early (4:30) to be able to sit outside.

The staff is always exceptionally kind and forthcoming with their opinions on the food which makes it known they genuinely enjoy it too. The last time I was here I got the bang bang chicken and was able to even get the spicy sauce in the side so I could control my spice level. The true winner for the night was a chocolate carrot cake from a local bakery in town. It was decadent yet well balanced and a hefty portion that I would have regretted if I finished entirely. This place has a unique vibe compared to all the other spots in Bar Harbor and has something for everyone. Do not miss this place when in town.

Visiting family in the area this seemed to be the best option for coffee and a breakfast sandwich…read morethat was open. We ordered ahead online and everything was already waiting for us when we arrived. Was perfect considering the beautiful weather and how busy they were. It had a rustic feel overall with lots of seating both inside and out. They have a little free library as well. My wife and I each got a create your own breakfast sandwich. I appreciated the amount of options they had including even two sausage patties. I ended up going with a croissant double sausage patties, pepper jack cheese and tomatoes. My wife got a bagel sausage egg and cheese with spinach. Good sized and value for the price. Although, speaking of prices I did have a local family member tell me they raise prices during busy tourist season. Drink wise I got their signature. Choco-latte and my wife got their honey lavender latte seasonal special. Both were well made and full of flavor. Would definitely frequently come here if I were nearby for a morning coffee! Due to ordering online I can't speak to the service fully but we did not have any issues with our food and drink and it was made quickly! Check them out if you want coffee or a breakfast sandwich. Will need to return to try their lunch tacos!
