This is a quaint restaurant located in a rural area of greater London. It's a beautiful drive along…read morenarrow, hedge-lined roads once you leave the motor carriageways. The restaurant has limited parking, so many people park alongside the road. Every time I have visited the Bricklayers Arms, the restaurant has been quite busy. On weekends, it's VERY busy. The food is good. The menu is typical English fare. Due to the busyness of the restaurant, the service isn't great at times. It can be a little slow but it's always been friendly. I like this restaurant! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the greater London area. I recommend it.

We are here last night and had a thoroughly good time. Lovely country pub with top quality food…read more The staff were very good. Smiling, welcoming and attentive, but not in your face. We (2 of us) had 3 courses each, 2 sides and 3 alcohol drinks for £100 which is good going around here. For starters we had the crab terrine with smoked paprika aioli (special) and the king scallops with swordfish and cream sauce. These were the best dishes of the evening. Light and sumptuous! For mains we had fillet steak and the rib eye! Both very nice, and good portions. We finished off with a sticky toffee pudding and apricot sorbet! All of this washed down with a couple of glasses of rose prosecco and a well priced glass of Chenin Blanc. We would have rated 5 stars if it weren't for the steak being a bit overdone and the scallops being more queenie than king but this didn't detract from a lovely meal and evening. We'll be back!

God I love this pub!…read more OK, so it's REALLY not glamorous in the slightest but it's incredibly friendly, a great place to watch football (it's a Liverpool pub but the clientele is mixed and all are welcome) and does top notch and cheap curry. The Chilli Paneer, chilli chicken and peshwari naans are particularly recommended. A nice place for traditional pub pursuits (football, beer, darts, banter, etc).

Live band playing old skool Bollywood music from 8-midnight on Fridays; some of their songs were a bit hit and miss and they did murder a couple of classics but on the whole they were fairly decent, a few people got up and danced towards the end of the evening, generally the music style is quite mellow, singalong popular Hindi tunes rather than in your face bhangra. The bar prices are average, although the bar staff don't seem to be overly efficient, strange that they serve you soft drinks such as fruit juice in the bottle and have to be asked to provide a glass with ice, also the glasses seem really old and need to be either thrown away or WASHED very thoroughly! Empty glasses left on tables far too long and empty food plates seemed to take ages to clear away. The Indian food which is competitiely priced is rather bland considering most of the clientele are Indian here, everyone in my group who ordered food said the food is always bland, but the sauces provided do help give the food a bit more flavour. Decent sized car park available, live sports on TV and pool tables to keep customers entertained also make this a decent enough local pub.
