Cheese & mushroom tarte, more than enough for one.
    Vanessa A.

Prancing down Orford Road with a friend looking to sate our hunger on a Sunday afternoon, we nipped into this charming looking pub nestled in Walthamstow Village. It is located just on the edge of the park; if it was warmer out we would have sat in the front where there was ample seating, or in the inviting rear garden. Nevermind, we went in and ordered a few beers and some food. Beers on offer included a Pale Ale and Landlord's, which I thought was promising. Over the speakers an eclectic but good mix of music played. Patrons ranged from hipster-ish to older locals. My friend had the Caesar Salad which was a decent size and generally ok (according to her). I chose the Cheese & Mushroom Tarte, which was kind of like a snazzy pizza without tomato sauce, sprinkled with rocket (see photo I've uploaded). It was ok, could have done with some more flavour. The chips were disappointing: on the menu they were listed as "triple cooked" but were pretty lame and soft. Perhaps the chef lost count at one. Overall it seems like a good place for a few pints, particularly if the sun is shining. I'd skip the food in the future.

Lovely little pub in a relatively secluded and nice part of Walthamstow. Clientele quite trendy and a relaxed atmosphere.

Aspall on tap is a good enough reason to visit; that children are banished after 730pm is another. Kids in pubs Whatever next?

Great pub in Walthamstow village with a good range of beers and pleasant ambience, light and airy inside but still comfortable and cosy.

Lots of new ones for me and I followed the crowd in selecting Buzz Light Beer, the honey-est flavoured bee-er I hive ever tasted (haha sigh). It was rather nice. The icing on the cake? A falafel tent erected outside the pub. You can order there and they will bring the delicious result to you at your table in the pub. Not sure how often that is the case of course, but if its outside I would recommend it.

Unfortunately, the actual pub doesn't serve food. The pub staff are always really nice even when they're busy. The clientele range from older men to hipsters to young professionals to everything in between. It's a really good place to grab a pint and they even allow four legged friends. I had a lovely time here last night listening to a blue grass band. There was lots of people there and even some dancing. The atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed ourselves! Now that I've listed all the positives, I do need to talk about the negatives. The pub needs a restoration as it is beginning to look a little worn. For example, the carpets need to be replaced and it could do with a fresh coat of paint. However, the place is pretty clean for a pub! This is pretty minor as the other elements are way more important to a night out. On the other hand, this is also part of the vibe. Overall it's a charming aspect of the community that I'm glad is around!

MMM has kept the original layout, which is beautiful with marble floors and pillars. They even pay homage to their former origins by projecting Tom & Jerry onto the wall above the door. They have two different bars--one cocktail bar and one normal (beer and wine) bar. The staff are very helpful and are happy to make suggestions for drinks. We treated ourselves to cocktails, which were very nice but quite expensive (15GBP for two)! Apparently, they also do very good food here. The menu looks great and the staff highly recommend it! I will be back to check out the food. Overall, I was very glad that we checked this place out and I will definitely be back. Another great addition to the Walthamstow scene!!

I loved it, it's wonderful and frankly I was amazed it had been saved and not turned into flats or something while the cinema was closed. There's a separate cocktail and wine bar at the front, which really makes you feel like having a cocktail, but if you resist then the bar at the back serves various beers. The only bad point of course is the toilets, Antic always have bad toilets, and this time they were not only in poor shape but were completely flooded. I appreciate it's an old building but if they can get the rest so right then why not the toilets?? Typical Antic :) I'll still give them 5 stars though as the rest is a marvel for sure.

First of all, it's actually off a main road on the very edge of Tottenham and not far from the resevoirs and lakes nearby. Okay it boils down to this: the food here is damn good! close your eyes for a sec - now think of all typical British pub food and think of them done very, very well. If you like some of what's in that imagination, then go to the Ferry Boat. The steak is particularly good and their desserts will surprise you a lot! The strawberry cheesecake there beats the undies off most fancy cake shops in the city. The atmosphere is good, no rowdy or shady characters here (apart from me of course~!) should make for a decent meal out with friends; a nice and spacious beer garden is also pretty good if the weather is nice (yep, all 4 good days of the year!) The only downer is the fact that the furniture is a bit off compared to the otherwise exceptionally nice interior (with woodfire and country house feel). The chairs are at times rickety, and some pretty mismatched and gawdy. It says 3 stars on top but I'd give it 3.5. I wouldn't cross the city to dine here, but if you want a safe choice and are nearby then check it out. Ash
