Food isn't great but it's that sort of frozen pub food you expect for really low prices. Lounge is massive but the beer area is nice and cosy. Karaoke on Friday seems suitably loud and dunk. Don't go for gourmet food or rare ales, but go for big brand drinks and a laugh.

Unfortunately, the actual pub doesn't serve food. The pub staff are always really nice even when they're busy. The clientele range from older men to hipsters to young professionals to everything in between. It's a really good place to grab a pint and they even allow four legged friends. I had a lovely time here last night listening to a blue grass band. There was lots of people there and even some dancing. The atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed ourselves! Now that I've listed all the positives, I do need to talk about the negatives. The pub needs a restoration as it is beginning to look a little worn. For example, the carpets need to be replaced and it could do with a fresh coat of paint. However, the place is pretty clean for a pub! This is pretty minor as the other elements are way more important to a night out. On the other hand, this is also part of the vibe. Overall it's a charming aspect of the community that I'm glad is around!

The staff is nice and welcoming, and best of all, they have two cats that you can cuddle FOR FREE (if you read this Cat Café...). I will definitely go back for a Sunday roast, and they will deserve a 5th star when the beer/ciders choice will be better (it's not BAD but only big 'soulless' brands - a few quality beers would be perfect).

Coppermill Lane itself is a popular thoroughfare for cyclists and walkers on route to the Lee Valley park, Walthamstow marshes and Springfield Park in Clapton so to those in the know it's not as tucked away as some might suggest. In fact this end of Walthamstow is much closer to central London than the more popular Village area some distance to the east. The Coppermill Tavern always seems to have three ales on hand-pump including a guest and I've found them to be well kept at all times. The pub is very much an after work venue as I've found that it will clear out about 9pm when every has had there fill having started early. The interior is characterful too with cabinets of curiosities and signs featuring in-jokes above the various seating areas. In recent years they have opened up a small yard to the side to act as smoking area, it's not glamorous but clean and private with tables and chairs. I often found myself chatting to other customers when seated in the yard. This pub needs to be supported, please don't be put of by a strong London accent, they don't bite. Get a bike, take a ride around the marshes and the river and pop into the Coppermill on your way home. Ace.

Tried many of their flavors so I decided to stick with the neck oil session IPA. Also got me 10 for my suitcase. Nice spot and a nice day so lots of folks hanging out on the picnic tables. Our friends had the ribs & fries, which apparently they have every week and which looked incredible. Fried pickles were out of this world (crispy, salty, spicy aioli) and almost a meal in themselves. Cheery and full but not overcrowded on a Sunday at six, next time will sit outside and play some foosball! Loved the combination of homey and bright by the windows. Will certainly be back!

No matter though since the bar staff recommended another IPA that was just as hoptastically tasty. This area out back is not as well kept and colourful with flowers as it used to be but still a welcome sun trap. As with other wetherspoons, great prices, good range of drinks and decent food although we have found a number of times certain menu items not available. All in all, not the best wetherspoon but can be nice in summer and does have a friendly atmosphere.

So I had the beef pie instead. The beef pie was good with the side of mashed potatoes, but like a few girls I know would say, I've had better. If you like some of what's in that imagination, then go to the Ferry Boat. The steak is particularly good and their desserts will surprise you a lot! The strawberry cheesecake there beats the undies off most fancy cake shops in the city. The atmosphere is good, no rowdy or shady characters here (apart from me of course~!) should make for a decent meal out with friends; a nice and spacious beer garden is also pretty good if the weather is nice (yep, all 4 good days of the year!) The only downer is the fact that the furniture is a bit off compared to the otherwise exceptionally nice interior (with woodfire and country house feel). The chairs are at times rickety, and some pretty mismatched and gawdy. It says 3 stars on top but I'd give it 3.5. I wouldn't cross the city to dine here, but if you want a safe choice and are nearby then check it out. Ash

The décor is Victorian and the walls are covered with various beer memorabilia, most coming from somewhere else of course, but that doesn't make it look any less impressive. The drinks are cheap, about 2 pounds a pint for the ales. The lagers are a little more. The reason why the ale is so reasonable? Well it is brewed just out back. This pubs small beer garden separates the pub from the Brodie's brewery. They do make some excellent beers. The Blonde and the sunshine were my favourites but I managed to sample most of them and they were all pretty decent. The Thai food here is reputed to be excellent. I'm afraid I only tried some prawn crackers but they were certainly decent so I'd be keen to try a full meal here sometime. This is a really excellent pub, very close to a 5 rating, but I'd like to come back to be sure.
