I'd been putting off going to the Swan Inn, because I quickly realised that it has the same menu as The Polmeroy Inn. I'd already been to the Polmeroy twice, so why go to the Swan... big mistake. Where as the Polmeroy is snug and cozy, the Swan Inn had a more open, airy feel. There is a fantadtic terrasse in the back. It's true that Polmeroy and Swan are sister restaurants with the same a la carte menus. I chose one of the specials, which was a pork loin served with garden fresh peas and pea greens (read the shoots, incredibly good) and crisp broccoli, as well as a purée of potatoes with chorizo. It was quite the meal: a little fatty/ salty /spicy tones of the chorizo with the fresh primavera notes of the pea shoots. The tenderloin preserved its juices and was succulent.
