Rosa the mixologist!

What can I say? Nostalgia at It's finest! amazing setting brings back memories and fabulous craft cocktails prepared by Rosa! Makes me pray for all of my flights to be delayed at JFK.

They make a mean espresso martini. Once the food courts were closed, I needed a coffee and they hooked me up right. And then when I needed another coffee, I asked for one with whiskey, and the bartender asked, "have you ever had an espresso martini?" Say no more, good sir. I ended up having a few of them that night. Of course, I couldn't be drinking at an airport and not order an Aviation. And they make a damn fine one! We were here for cocktail hour before/after a wedding ceremony, and also for after-dinner drinks. The place is lovely. Big sprawling red couches, giant windows with a view of Connie, and some fun bartenders/waitresses. Definitely worth stopping by!

Martini and the Howard Hughes, both quite good

I tried the Sunken Lounge while on a Layover. For ambience it cannot be beat. The renovated TWA Hotel terminal is awesome to see and they really have turned it into an experience all it's own. It's outside of security so if you have the chance take the time to visit. Food offerings are slim but the drink menu has plenty for everyone. We tried the Howard Hughes and the Sunken Lounge Martini. The Howard Hughes was delicious and the Martini was terrific (and it came with twa wings for a souvenir). Overall a great experience, if you have the time get to JFK early enough to explore and enjoy.

$21 sliders (dry). $8 bottle of beer

"They have you trapped & they know it" prices. See photos. Sliders buns were cold with warm, dry patties equivalent (but smaller) to McD's. No condiments. $21 for that. Then there's the $8 a can/bottles of light beers. It's reflective of my room experience. I wouldn't come back.

I came here a few weeks before coronavirus really blew up for someone's birthday. If you're into 50s/60s art deco retro mod vibes and travel this is definitely a fun spot to check out. While my stay was fairly brief, I did enjoy that staff are dressed up in costumes. The tile ticker above the white pristine seating area changes images every few minutes. Only downside is that they don't take cash and only credit. Though, the drinks are around $18-20 so I kind of get that and they don't want dollar tips. I went with the classic aviation cocktail. It was oddly more pinkinsh red than I've ever had it in my life (normally its pale violet) and tasted a little bit more tart. Not sure if they have their own twist because classically it is made with creme de violette. I should have just gone with my gut and read the yelp reviews and tried the espresso martini. It's worth a visit and to check out the entire twa hotel and space. But I wasn't feeling it for some reason. Also, I think my phobia of what was going on was starting to kick in since it was early March and I just wanted to get the hell out of the airport and take a long shower.

If you're into all things retro sixties AND aviation as much as we are, then this whole hotel is like walking into a dream. It's beautiful. People have complained about the service, but our experience was ok. It was a little clunky, and maybe disorganized a little and the drinks, while good, are sort of outrageously priced, but this isn't at my corner dive bar. It's the atmosphere you're paying for. I figure it's a donation that in part goes toward the upkeep of this magnificent building. Hell yes I'll pay $20 for a miniature martini that comes with a set of TWA wings. And I'll tip big for the little gal who brought us our last round somehow even though the bar had closed 20 minutes ago and she didn't know before taking our order. I loved this place. I love how it's busy but not packed, I wish kids weren't allowed and that they played a broader range of 60s music...if I hear Hard Days Night one more time I might lose it...bug overall I think it's great.

Definitely come for a drink if you are passing through JFK and have a few hours to spare. It's located in the iconic mid-century Eero Saarinen-designed TWA terminal. Order the iconic martini with wings. Enjoy the views and wander around and discover all of the delights that are hidden around the hotel. Huge plus - dog friendly. Open daily from 11 AM to 1 AM, I recommend making a reservation.

The hype is way more than the actual experience. The drinks are served in plastic cups, and the food has to be ordered separately.

Bartender was rude, drinks were small and overpriced. Atmosphere/kitschness is the only reason to go.

This was the closest dining establishment that served alcohol by our gate, so we stopped by. It is pretty small and cramped, but we managed to find two seats along the window facing the planes. It was hard to fit in the area as people tend to put bags on seats, etc. Plus the walkway to the kitchen is right there so you feel like you are in the way. Food wise, I liked my salad. Could have done without the chips as I really just wanted greens, veggies, and protein. For $26, it was obviously on the smaller side, but hey, it's an airport resto. My drink was all right. Kinda weak in the liquor and spice department, but fine for sipping. My friend seemed to enjoy his food and cocktail. I wish there were more options in this area of the airport. But this will do if I want a drink. REVIEW #4023

Today I checked in with a host, got on the waitlist and waited about 45 minutes before getting in. The centurion lounge next door also posted a sign saying it was at capacity and there was an online waitlist. What I don't like about this lounge is I cannot pick a seat. They just escort you and let you know what it's available for you. As other reviews say, I wondered why so many available seats there when a lot of people are waiting outside? It may be the service capacity related, rather than space capacity? The food is consistently good here. The buffet is sufficient but the made to order menu seemed really good too.

The waitlist process is still long and annoying (wild that the average wait seems to be 45 minutes) but my partner and I managed to get in eventually. We felt rushed, but I guess I need to get here MUCH earlier and account for that in my arrival to the airport. We ordered some quick food from the menu while enjoying a few cocktails. The food we tried - both the burger and whatever was available in the far area of the lounge - was okay. The cocktails were stellar. So pretty! Definitely the best part of the experience, especially since we were able to sit at the bar. I would still try to get into any Chase Sapphire Lounge to make use of my credit card but just be aware of the contrasting reviews and experiences!

The hostess greeted me warmly and allowed me to browse the menu at my leisure without feeling rushed. The seating was spacious, and the self-serve bar area offered plenty of room. The decor and vibe evoked an early 60s charm, though the playlist featuring early 2000s hits was a quirky mismatch, yet, honestly, it grew on me and seemed to add a lively edge to the meal. The menu was straightforward, offering a tempting selection of chicken sandwiches and biscuit dishes. After some thought, I settled on the chicken ranch, it was ready in less than five minutes! The "Porch Sipper" drink was delightful; I ended up ordering a second, as its flavors transported me to open Kentucky fields, sitting on a wraparound porch on a warm summer day, savoring the music and gazing at the blue summer sky. The experience was truly immersive. And I must say, the staff radiated positive energy, they seemed genuinely happy to be there, which makes a difference when dealing with thousands of travelers daily. You can scout out a quick seat at the bar or have the hostess seat you at the table. Either way, they operate on a scan-to-order system. I also watched an older man get super frustrated later on for similar reasons. These servers are really taking a lot of flack for this order entry system. Do better and have some patience, folks!) Overcrowded, weak offerings, not to mention sometimes you can't even get in, no less get a seat. I recently gave up the credit card that allowed for "free" Admiral's Club membership, those these seem to be the most ubiquitous. I have Priority Pass and barely use it, especially if I'm with my husband because it costs too much IMO for a companion pass (love how they keep whittling away those perks). But on a recent visit to terminal 4 prior to a transatlantic flight, I knew I needed to see if I could at least get a snack and some water, so when I saw the Capital One Lounge, I went for it. I was greeted by the nicest lady who patiently walked me through entry, even though I stupidly left my boarding pass and credit cards about a half a mile away at my gate with my husband. You don't need Priority Pass to enter, just a Capital One card, I believe any tier. Guests can get a pass at 50 dollars, I believe. I guess it's worth it if your guest drinks a lot and has no dietary restrictions. I was pretty impressed with the amount of seating, work stations and tables and easily found a seat. While the cold bar only had one plant based option (thank you for clearly marking dietary restrictions), the menu that you order from had zero. I had the quickest, tiniest snack (I think it was couscous?) and filled my water bottle and went on my way. The bathrooms are private, clean and there's also showers available. Overall a much more positive experience than a lot of lounges (if I can even get in-- Priority Pass is really not good and I'll be moving to a lower tier Capital One card when it comes time to renew).
