The famous biscuit
Angela L.

We got to the airport a few hours before our late night flight and planned to have dinner here. It was crowded and the place isn't very big. Luckily a table opened up just as we walked up. Unluckily the service was slow. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are paranoid about missing your plane. The place served southern comfort food.. My husband and I got the honey chicken and pickles. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was just the right sweetness. The sauce got everywhere making our hands sticky. The pickles were ok. The coleslaw that came with it wasn't my favorite and the biscuit was a little dry. The waiter made an effort to make sure we had everything we needed but you can tell he was tired and overworked.

For the food, 4 stars but for the price... 3. So I'm giving this spot 3.5 stars overall but on the lower end of that for the overall experience. The fried pickle spears were great with their house dipping sauce. Not soggy and tons of flavor. Definitely a great reason why they have their name! Fried chicken Caesar was ok. Well-dressed but chicken breading has no flavor and a bit dry. Needed to use the rest of my fried pickle sauces to compensate. They had a Jacob's pickles draft beer (and despite the pickles in the name it does not have or taste like pickles!). Really great draft beer though. Great lager flavor. The problem is that for those 3 items I paid almost $60 including tip. About what you can expect given this is NYC and the airport but that's pretty steep given the location. Service was fine enough, but given that you're in a casual spot at JFK it's nothing fancy. They helped me fast but I noticed some inconsistencies when people tried to get their attention at the bar. Bar stool seating had charging outlets so that was a nice thing to have!

New airport outpost of Jacob's Pickles in Terminal 4/JFK. The layout is not huge, but comfortable, with some tables, booths, and a bar. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant. Our orders arrived promptly. The menu is an abridged version of the regular Jacob's Pickles restaurant menu. There is a breakfast menu until 11am. Other items mostly revolve around fried chicken and biscuits. I ordered the honey chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious! The waffle fries were super crispy. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Loved the biscuit as well! A great addition to JFK!

Jacobs Pickles On the way to my gate at the JetBlue terminal in JFK, having time for a quick lunch before departure, decided to try Jacob's Pickles. The space was well lit and lots of seating with charging outlets even at the bar. We saw two seating at the end of a high top which is convenient for our carryon bags and were seated right away by a very nice server. Ordered the Jacob's Burger, it was extraordinarily good, straight out of the kitchen warm, sweet high quality beef topped with onions, pickles of course and cheese served on a brioche bun with enough substance to hold the very moist hamburger and its toppings. I am tempted to try their NYC location when I get home.

It's hard to find good help. That's the bottom line, service was horrible ,because the bartender/server was rude. Ambience was three stars and the food was what you would come to expect from an airport restaurant that's a take on a really amazing restaurant. What really shined was the manager? She was understanding and I understood that it's hard to get good help. I'd actually like to thank her because she was the one highlight from the whole experience.

Those pickles are amazing!!!

I took off a star for the slow service that day I went but the food and drinks are amazing. New to terminal 5, and I'm glad they are there cuz it's now the best place to get a good meal there. I had the hot honey chicken biscuit and my son had the Mac and cheese. Both were awesome and those mocktails were even better. This is a great place to get a fill you up meal before you board your flight.

Orders ready to go out to hungry people.

I'm not a restauranteur but this has to be the worst run operation I have ever seen. Long lines to get in, big delays upon sitting, empty seats, 10+ orders ready in the kitchen, At least 10 employees outside of the kitchen just walking around being useless -- and can't get an order right to save their lives. This outpost is a disgrace to the Jacobs Pickles Brand and everyone should be fired. The robots cannot come soon enough.

Fried pickle. So sadly made.

I always love pickles and saw this place. Mind you I was expecting a good pickle since it's on its name. Sad of a place. Servers were too busy even refill our drinks.... And the pickle, maybe just stick to store bought, it was disappointing.

Buffalo chicken sandwich with coleslaw.

The service is horrible. I was treated like an inconvenience. I was left untended for long periods of time.

Restaurant was unsanitary with dirty cups and stained plates. Honestly so disappointed as I heard great things about the food here.

Capital One Lounge at JFK

JFK Airport

Had the chance to stop by this Capital One lounge in terminal 4 as we were flying Singapore…read moreAirlines to Frankfurt. It was either this option or the Virgin Atlantic. So after reviewing Yelp on both lounges I opted for capital one and I am very pleased with this lounge! First you can order hot small dishes from any table, there is a QR code on each table with today's choices. There is a cheese monger where you need to reserve 45 mins for a cheese tasting (we did not do, but looks amazing!). There is a buffet style with little dishes such as devil eggs, crostini, roasted squash. There is a to-go sandwich option with ess a bagel and pastrami from Schaller and Weber! and a huge bar also stocked with mocktails! We sat down at a table by the food and desserts section, they even brought out a nice baby chair for our baby! Ordered a bunch of dishes from the kitchen, Mac and cheese, shrimp salad, little burgers, mushrooms risotto and a soup! Honestly not all of the dishes were delicious, they were decent. However our experience and the service at this lounge was definitely excellent! They were so attentive to our needs and our baby's needs. We really felt taken care of. Note we did have a short wait, however it was literally not even 5 minutes to get into the lounge but definitely take this into consideration at busy times there will be a wait. But this wait is probably not as bad as the wait at the Amex centurion lounge in the same terminal. Overall we had a fabulous experience, felt really taken care of and especially with our baby. And they gave our baby his own baby pilot bib! So adorable!

From the coffee café at the mall with tasty snacks and coffees. To this fine place at terminal four in JFK. Fresh coffees Machine coffees sodas ice tea. Snacks you bag in cute little bags like chips or pretzels. Tasty hot offerings brought to you seat today I had a chicken pot pie served in a little cast iron pot as cute as it's delicious. Today no shower but a wonderful relaxing experience worth the 45$
