You are so beautiful to me oops sorry that my Joe Cocker impersonation and that's how I feel about this place. It's everything I hoped for and everything I need and it's well worth the 30 plus minute drive. Sometimes you do need to be fancy or have a long list of menu items in order to be great. Without all of the bells and whistles that you'll find other places their menu is straight forward and in a word outstanding. The staff was amazing and the food was out of this world. They even sell doughnuts ( my all time favorite ) along with other excellent sweets , like cookies and kettle corn. Oh one thing make sure you order their lobster roll it's so good it's even worth a trip to the ER, even if you're allergic to seafood :-) read more

I rode bikes with my family to the Sugaree. The store has now expanded with a much larger seating area. We came on a Saturday morning. The server was welcoming and I had the Cronut. It was absolutely delicious. It was the closest thing I've ever found to the Fritter at Disneyland. The dough was flakey and moist, absolutely perfect with cinnamon, sugar, and a flakey crust. I've found the Fritter at Disneyworld, but I'll be coming back to the Sugaree to get a Cronut because it's so much closer to home... read more

Amazing breakfast. Got a breakfast sandwich with bacon on bagel and lobster roll. Both were amazing. Bagel was made in house, bacon and fried egg crispy. Lobster roll had a good amount of sweet meat on a buttery roll perfectly toasted and the potato salad was a awesome as well. Definitely will return. read more

I'm so glad I chose the Sugaree for my wedding cake/cupcakes. They were the sweetest people, and gave us such a reasonable price- no up-charge for using the word "wedding". They were even kind enough to accommodate some tricky dietary restrictions. We ordered a delicious cake topper from them, as well as 2 flavors of cupcakes (Chocolate with mocha frosting and pumpkin with cinnamon frosting). Both flavors were out of this world, and I got so many compliments from guests about how incredibly delicious they were. There were some left over (thank goodness), so the groom and I devoured them the next day. I'm not sure if they do a ton of weddings, but I highly recommend them for any event you're having. What a great neighborhood spot. I have been a fan of their delicious lobster rolls for a while, lots of lobster, including claw meat on a perfectly New England style, top spilt, toasted bun. This sandwich delivers. Try the potato salad as your side, so good. But back to the reason I'm writing this.....the Flagel. I can't believe I haven't tried this before. It's a flat bagel, order it toasted with cream cheese, SO YUMMY. Go there immediately in the morning, I'm serious, it's so worth it. Ate here last spring and it was delicious! My mom and I both tried different things and both were delicious. We ordered to-go deserts that were AMAZING! The staff member, or what I think was actually the owner, was extremely friendly! The place is small inside and didn't have many seating options when I went, but I liked that it was open and bright. Yum. I enjoyed their lobster roll and loaded potato salad. Wow - the p/salad was so good I'm going to try to copy it. :-) I like it that the bread is toasted on both sides and that filling is really yummy. The only change I would suggest is: please use a bigger plate, nothing fancy but a bigger one and a ceramic one. The steel plate makes the food look unpalatable. Thanks. read more

So good - best made from scratch bagles and cream cheese! All of the other breakfast items we tried were great too - cinnamon rolls, pecan buns, muffins.... The only reason I did not give 5 starts is that it could be more "clean" - I did not see any gloves or hands being washed while working or after doing dirty dishes .... however, they are careful not to touch the food and pull out my the parchment paper. read more

Outstanding! This was my first time having a lobster roll and it won't be my last. It was delicious and reminded me why I love lobster so much. We also ordered the cronuts (mix of a doughnut and a crossiant) which they only make on Saturdays and they were literally one of the best sweets I have ever had.
