Wow!! Thank you, for the delicious catered dinner for our family of 10 adults and children. We had…read morethe generous portions of low country boil and pulled pork, and added a green salad and chicken skewers. The corn bread with honey butter, yum! Delivery was on time to our Airbnb. Very friendly delivery person. We did indeed have leftovers that hit the spot for lunch after a day at the beach. Roy and Becky were quick to respond, which made for a great experience since I live in California and was arranging this for our family stay on Hilton Head Island. The shrimp held up great and I'm glad I added the chicken skewers, meant for the children but adults enjoyed.

First off, his cornbread with honey butter is sooo perfectly done.. we love this. Oysters on the half shell were shucked at the house and so good. Mini crab cakes had very little in terms of bread so you really got the crab taste. The low country boil was so fresh and his sausage was so tasty too. Fresh corn that was not overcooked and just a very delicious meal. this year, we actually went to have lunch at Roy's Cafe and enjoyed that very much. Becky was our server and she was so sweet and accommodating. The portions were large and the lunch was huge for what we paid and of course, it was all delicious.

We attended a wedding catered by Signature Catering & Events by SERG. I thought everything about…read morethe catering, from cocktail hour through the dinner reception, was excellent. The food, drink, service, and presentation were all five stars. I wasn't surprised when the groom told me the next day that SERG also caters the RBC Heritage PGA Tour Event at Harbour Town. To me, that's all that needs to be said. As I wrote in my review for Nectar Farm Kitchen (https://www.yelp.com/biz/nectar-farm-kitchen-hilton-head-island-2), I think SERG is *the* premiere restaurant group in Hilton Head. SERG operates over a dozen restaurants on the island including the aforementioned Nectar, old-school Giuseppi's pizza, popular Poseidon, and award-winning Skull Creek Boathouse. I think most major American metropolitan areas have restaurant groups with a catering arm like SERG. It wouldn't surprise me if they're considered the standard on HHI. The wedding we attended was held outside at the 4,000-square-foot Mary Ann Peeples Pavilion at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Signature Catering & Events had an outdoor bar with two bartenders, passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and a self-serve buffet dinner during the reception. All staff, including bartenders and servers, were uniformed. The bartenders and servers looked professional and spiffy, wearing what I describe as the typical New American restaurant attire, dressed-up casual with aprons; for that handcrafted cocktail, farm-to-table look. My favorite passed hors d'oeuvre was the bacon-wrapped scallops. They were freaking delicious. The scallops were plump and flavorful and the bacon was tasty and smoky. I love salads and I loved Signature's individual salad plates. Each plate was a sizable baby iceberg wedge salad with arugula, heirloom tomatoes, Sweet Grass Dairy blue cheese, and applewood smoked bacon with buttermilk ranch and a balsamic glaze. The salad was fresh and crisp. From the buffet, I got a corn muffin with whipped butter, steak and onion strings, potatoes, panko fried chicken, rice, corn souffle, green beans and onions, and jumbo asparagus. If I recall correctly, there were two steak temperature options, well done and medium or medium well. I prefer my steaks medium rare, so I went with the option that was not well done. It was good. I enjoyed the chicken too. It had a yummy outside crust, the meat was tender, and the sauce was delectable. It was sweet and savory. The corn muffin with whipped butter was terrific, as was the corn souffle. I loved the jumbo asparagus. Each piece was firm with appetizing consistency - not too chewy nor stringy - and nicely seasoned. All of the staff I interacted with - mainly the bartenders, but also one of the folks taking plates away - were friendly, polite, and efficient.

From Molly's guidance with the perfect suggestions, and chef Andy's delicious meals, all prepared with easy instructions for quick reheating if necessary, this was such a special treat! The brisket with three amazing sauces, the mahi magi, the tenderloin, the chicken tetrazzini, and the crabcakes, to name only a few, were exceptionally prepared and were big hits with everyone! Cannot recommend Signature Catering more highly; this is the way to entertain a crowd at home in style!

Just had one of those "how is this place not packed every night?" experiences at Annie O's…read moreKitchen... and wow, I'm still thinking about it. Debbie and I stopped in about an hour before closing, not expecting much--just a quick bite. What we got instead was hands down one of the best seafood meals I've had in a long time. First off, we met the owner, Jim Scully--absolute legend. Friendly, genuine, and actually takes the time to sit and chat. You just don't see that anymore. Great conversation, great energy... set the tone right away. Now let's talk FOOD... * Fried oysters & shrimp - ridiculously good. Light, crispy, not greasy at all. You can tell everything is top quality. * Coleslaw - vinegar-based, shredded, and honestly reminded me of proper German kraut salad. Perfect balance with the seafood. * Soft shell crab... alright, this is where things got serious. "It was like a circus in my mouth... just an explosion of flavors." I'm not exaggerating. The texture was creamy, not oily, and the batter was just perfect. One of those bites where you just stop and look at each other like... yep, this is special. On top of that: * Everything is made with high-quality ingredients * Prices are very reasonable for what you're getting (honestly, some places charge double for worse) * BYOB (bring your own wine/beer = big win ) * Huge menu--seafood, ribs, BBQ, pulled pork, chicken, desserts... you name it Final verdict: (three thumbs up from Debbie & me) If you're in Hilton Head and even thinking about seafood--this is a hidden gem you don't want to miss. We'll 100% be back.
