She did Friday night heavy appetizers and hors d'oeuvres and on Saturday- a full dinner. Everyone raved about the food. I would especially highlight her roast beef which was out of this world... Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy. Her smoked salmon platter was incredible as was the spinach and artichoke dip. (Still thinking about it!)!Really, everything was great but those were the highlights! Many of my family members who live in Savannah plan to use her for future catering. She was very communicative and responsive easy to plan with and delivered on time! I can't say enough good things.

I being from Savannah had not heard of this caterer. Her website was wonderful and the reviews were great. But still it was like taking a shot in the dark but boy let me tell you I hit the Bulls Eye when I hired Miss Shannon and her crew to do a Friday night low country boil for a bunch of out of town guest. I wanted them to have a taste of the low country while visiting Savannah. I also just wanted to enjoy my guest and not have to worry about a thing. Miss Shannon and her crew did an excellent job and the food was amazing. Everyone loved everything they put in their mouths. She is super professional and I loved working with her. From now on when I have to feed more than twenty people at my home Miss Shannon will be the first person I call!

Erica Davis Lowcountry sits on Victory Drive in Thunderbolt -- a town so small it has exactly one square mile of land and a name borrowed from a lightning strike that supposedly split open a freshwater spring on the Wilmington River bluff. The restaurant itself has a similar origin story: a long-shuttered seafood spot called Teeple's, left empty for years, brought back to life by Erica and Dwight Davis with real care. The gaslight sconces out front stayed. So did the bones of the building. The garage doors open when the weather cooperates. We came in late on a Friday, catching the final stretch of their brunch service. Hannah (I believe) was our server -- in training, which you wouldn't have guessed. She steered us well and managed the table (and the room) with a confidence that didn't feel performed. We started with the Barbecue Shrimp and the Oysters Rockefeller. The barbecue shrimp -- Georgia shrimp in a spiced, rich sauce served with toasts -- was good but the one I'd skip on a return visit. The Oysters Rockefeller are the opposite story: roasted, finished with creamed collards and parmesan, and genuinely one of the better bites I've had in recent memory. Order them. My husband had the Wassaw Redfish -- pan-seared over stone-ground grits with garlic beurre blanc and heirloom tomato. Clean, confident cooking. I had the Sunday fried chicken, which delivered exactly what that dish promises when it's done right. Sides of fresh green beans, South Georgia collards, and Erica's Famous Coleslaw held their own across the board. Dessert was the Key Lime Pie, served in a cup that does not prepare you for how good it is. Tart and creamy in the right proportion. We didn't leave any behind. The family's seafood history in Savannah goes back to 1946. You can feel that kind of depth in a kitchen -- not in any one dramatic bite, but in the steadiness of it all.

She expressed that it was her favorite dish and the favorite dish of many customers. The flavors were great, and interesting. The dish had the potential to be an 8/10 or 9/10, but it was so incredibly salty that it was nearly unbearable. The signature dish was a 6/10, maybe, as a result. If it was fine tuned, it could be a great dish. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes. Very nice. Would order those again. They were delicious. This is a cool spot, and if they dial in their food, it could be epic. Our waitress was a delight also. Really nice service. 3 stars is justified because, in spite of the good things noted, the core element for any restaurant must be their food and if the Shrimp and Grits is their "signature" dish, they should give it the same attention they give other areas that are going well.

They arrived on time and kept our guests full and happy. We chose the southern style buffet since we were getting married in the south and everything was so delicious! All of our guests were just raving at how good the food was so we were so pleased. Another thing we really liked about PKC is that they didn't try to nickle and dime us like some caterers. They had a set price and it included real silverware and real plates. In our searches, we noticed that most caterers charged extra for these items and we felt that was ridiculous. Planning a wedding is stressful so when we came across PKC and they were making it easy on us, we were very anxious to use them. And we are so glad we did! If you are looking to get married and want extreme professionalism, scrumptious food and wonderful service, call Paul Kennedy Catering!!

We scheduled a tasting a few months prior. Thrive was an approved vendor for The Clyde Venue, so there was a level of trust we had without having conversations with the caterer because of how well the venue was providing services to us as humans, and not as walking dollar signs. The tasting went well. The form filled ahead of time was a bit overwhelming with the amount of options, but it's better to have too many choices than not enough, which was awesome to see. After the tasting, we had a consultation with a coordinator to select our menu options and discuss price point, we had a strict budget to stick to. When we submitted our deposit, there was an issue with the payment. It wasn't until I had the conversation with the vendor did I notice that we were charged more then the payment we discussed to pay, hence the payment not going through. We were charged an additional tent fee because The Clyde did not have a kitchen. Something we know from the Clyde, but we didn't know we would be charged an addition fee- neither the Clyde nor Thrive told us. At this point, we had a conversation with the owner and expressed our grievances for, what felt like, unethical business practices in relation to lack of communication regarding payment. We paid the fee anyways. Fast forward to our event, and the some of the food didn't look or taste anything like what we sampled. We understand cooking in bulk is different than a sample, but I was very disappointed. The caterers also left quickly when their time was done, so we didn't have a chance to thank them. My guests mentioned they did not see a "tent". After writing a review for the Clyde, we were contacted by our day of coordinator who was also confused about the fee we were charged. She reached out to thrive and resolved the issue for us, but it, again, felt like we were being taken advantage of which is something that felt icky for us the whole time. Unsure if we would use this company again, but they didn't not meet our expectations.

My fiancé and I contacted them on June 2nd to try to secure them for our December wedding. We had a conference call with them on June 6th and was told we would hear back from them soon and we had a soft hold on our date. At that time we were not told that anybody else showed any interest in or had a soft hold on our date. We emailed them on June 19th because we had not received any response from them at all. June 26th I called them around 1030 am and was told that our contact had been on vacation and they had the proposal put together and a manager had to review it and we would be receiving it soon. That was June 26th. On July 7th we still had not received any proposal or communication. My fiancé called the company directly on the morning of July 7th and was told someone else had secured the same date of our wedding and they were no longer available to cater our wedding. My fiancé was most certainly heart broken!!! I am extremely disappointed in the complete lack of communication and the unprofessionalism of this company!! The only communication we had was when he had to call them even though we were told they would be back in touch only for us to get crickets from them. It just feels like a bigger job came along so they kicked us to the curb. Extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend this company!!!!! I would give them negative stars if I could!!
