Make sure you hit this spot this summer! Here's why!!!! Great place right on the ocean. Lots of people trying to have a good time on the beach. Great bar food snacks and very clean, even with all the sand! The staff is so nice and the owner really cares about the environment. He implemented eco friendly straws and cups. There is great live music or DJ most nights. Cash only! But ATM inside. Catch a tan and a good time!

This place is a hidden gem. Not the easiest to get to but worth the view and the quality service. The staff is friendly, the drinks are ice cold and you can grab a quick bite while enjoying the surf

Let's say you are at Fort Tilden and want to grab some grub and a beer. The Sugar Bowl is probably your closest bet (unless you count the snack counter at Jacob Riis Park). Walk down the beach (past/under the Silver Gull Club) to get here, otherwise walk/bike in on the main road, past the gatehouse (don't stop). The Sugar Bowl sits directly on the wide beach of Breezy Point, with dozens of bikes parked out front. An outdoor deck offers a window to order fries, cheese sticks, burgers, onion rings and the like, and a full bar is indoors. We were here on Labor Day and it was completely packed with folks partying to a live band. Totally worth hitting up if you are in the area; the food and drinks are nothing special, but the location is magical.

The Blarney Castle re-opened about a month ago under new owners and a new chef. So ignore all…read moreprevious reviews from that time. The place has been re-done but the "historic" fish remains. Sound suppressors have been installed and they help temper the noise. The limited wine list is well priced but unfortunately they were out of one of the two chardonnays (Bonanza) on the list. I ordered the other Chardonnay which was double the cost of the Bonanza (but still fairly priced for the quality) and it did not come out for 15 minutes. I alerted the waitress who stated that she was getting ice for it. The wine finally came with two chilled wine glasses (wrong) and it was warm. Strike two on the wine. Someone is not checking inventory. We got there as it opened at five. No excuse for not having a listed wine and then serving a warm $65 dollar bottle. Each plate of food was delivered in a staggered delivery about five to ten minutes apart. Food should come out at the same time to all customers. That's probably on the chef with the mercurial temperament. That being said; the food was very good. The chef can really cook but get there soon because he might not be there long. Four televisions the dining room is unnecessary and very distracting. Turn them off during service. I plan on going back for the good food but will bring my own wine. I got three different answers when I asked about a corkage fee; so I don't know what the corkage fee is. The owners are new and need time to adjust to the place. I see the place improving as the kinks are worked out.

Always consistent and good food. Service is always pleasant and personable…read more Atmosphere is low key and comfortable. Has a great bar following. Take out/pick up available..

So the place looks nice , waiters and bus boys are pretty attentive …read more The menu looks really good as well drinks and food . We ordered out drinks first and I asked for the Mai Tai to please swap rum for tequila . He said he would ask. The cones back with some S.... and really fake story . I asked him is your bartender new? Over whelmed that he can't do it? And he stumbled with his excuse i asked to speak to the manager . When manager came and gave the excuse with to many people arrived at same time WHICH was a lie since I looked right over his shoulder and game him the bs Look. He then said we ordered a specified amount of things for the drinks and alcohol we have in hand . I said okay forget it . Later on he said here you go we made one for you and it's free of charge realized they were not doing things how they should have been. We ordered the food and that started to come. The burger was highly recommended. Bronzino was really good ( flavors / doneness/ the look and just perfect) The lobster escargot was great as well perfect amount of garlic and nice chunks of lobster as well. The toast were cheap and just wonder bread like . And I like to dip my bread . And the burger was the biggest waste of 26$ for a burger . The burg e bun was triple the size of the burger itself.they ask you how would you want your burger cooked but the burger is too thin to be cooked to anything but well done. I didn't order a bun I ordered a burger . And a pimple piece of lettuce, 4 pickles , cheese ans suace. I wouldn't come back there again . Maybe just drinks

However, good food! The harvest salad with delicious + big portions, the fish and chips were delicious, the salmon was a small portion but cooked well, the steak frites were good but undercooked in our opinion but the potato dumplings were a HIT! Yum! Fun drink menu! I would definitely go back for a cocktail and appetizer!

It was loud in the beginning , making it hard to converse or hear at the table, as speakers throughout the establishment were loudly transmitting the event with microphones that was happening in the front. Once that ended, we definitely enjoyed dinner more. Biggest highlights of the evening were drinks and service. Every drink we got was well balanced, flavorful and delicious, so kudos to the bartender! Our waiter and busboys were very attentive, friendly, and provided top notch service from start to finish. Dishes came out in timely manner and order, with restaurant service etiquette followed to a T. Food was good overall, fresh and well presented. Portion sizes are decent, everything priced according to location, quality and ambiance. Octopus was tender but didn't have any flavor and was outshined by delicious pesto & burrata in the salad, which was unfortunate as I was looking forward for it to be the start of the dish. Tartar could use more sauce (or salt) to tie all layers together. Bone marrow was delicious, definitely try a side of beef- it melts in the mouth and is a great addition. Duck vareniki was a bit small portion, with good filling/dough ration and the sauce was heavenly. Pizza crust was good but bland toppings made it uneventful. Steak and fish were cooked and seasoned to perfection, side salads were well seasoned and good pairings for protein. Desserts satisfied our sweet tooth after delicious dinner. Definitely will come back.
