We had two projects in mind that involved opposite ends of our 1970's-built home. Babak began with…read moremultiple, relaxed interviews with us, in which he gathered an impressive amount of information about how we live, how we use parts of our home, what are differences in taste between my husband and me, etc. When he got back to us with sample design options, we were downright gleeful at his ability to crystallize what we were each looking for, and his tactful way of pulling our disparate tastes and visions together into cohesive, practical design. And he did all that while keeping his eye on the vintage of our home, its innate style, so that in the end the newly remodeled rooms blended seamlessly into our existing, older home.
The construction process was lengthy, but always clearly focused and sequenced out on a calendar in advance. We felt at ease with the security of our home, their efforts to minimize noise, keeping us informed at each step, as well as efforts to clean up at the end of each day. The individual workers from Old Castle Design Center were, to the one, responsive, careful, courteous, and thoughtful in getting their work done while we were still living there. Finishing details drug out for several months after crews had moved on to other projects, and seemed to become lower priority, but I've never doubted that they would all get done. I trust that Babak will be responsive to us if any issues might develop in the future, and that is a great reassurance.
