We walked into Floor & decor 3 times yesterday and our third visit deserves a review because of the associate Hans. When we were there in the morning we had our contractor with us who had a tape measure & when we returned in the afternoon alone we totally forgot a tape measure. My husband walked away to go find a worker to look for a tape measure & while he was gone Hans walked by and asked if I needed any help & I told him we were looking for a tape measure & my husband left to go find someone. My husband returned without one as he was told by another associate that they were all out. Hans returned shortly after with a store tape measure that he said we could use & return up front when checking out. While my husband & I were looking around again Hans walked by & we had a question about grout selection & where in the store we could find it. Instead of just pointing of which aisle to go Hans walked us there and then gave us a grout color sample kit to bring back to the tiles aisle to make sure the grout color he recommended or another color went well with the tile we were purchasing. Once we got up front to check out & return the tap measure & grout color kit Hans was there and actually rung us up. This is our first home renovation project & we were a little overwhelmed in tile selecting all day & finding all the right items but our third experience yesterday was stress free due to the help of Hans. I had an appointment with the design center scheduled for 10am Saturday. I received a confirmation email at 3pm the day before. When I arrived for the appointment they were closed. One employee came out to say the city hadn't signed off yet so they couldn't open and the person who my appointment was with hadn't gotten there yet. I finally got a call from the designer 45 minutes after my appointment. When I spoke with her she did ask if I wanted to reschedule but the lack of communication didn't seem to be a good start to this type of project so I declined. read more

I had the best experience today at F&D. I was shopping for new tile for a project I am working on. I know my way around the store, but I had never purchased this large of an amount of tile at one time. Well, Xavier came to my rescue. He helped me find the tiles I was looking for, scanned them as we located them, and then helped me choose my grout. He also made sure I had all the correct materials for my contractor. As flooring supply companies go, Floor & Decor is one of the best in the Atlanta area. I just have a hard time giving a business like this more than three stars. It is what it is. Floor & Decor has a wide variety of flooring in as many prices. The nicely laid out design center is a boon for those who, like me, get instant migraines in the cluttered warehouse. (Contractors and interior design specialists no doubt don't have my issues.) Avoid this place on Saturday afternoons. It gets really crowded and the wait to speak to a staffer can be thirty minutes or longer. But once you snag one, they are extremely helpful and will take all the time you need to work out your flooring solution. read more

The absolute worst Floor & Decor in GA especially with this new manager. Whoever the manager that worked 06/24 @9:30am needs customer service, emotional intelligence, and basic leadership training! Floor Decoy I hope you're reading and if so please providing training for this guy as you will end up with a low sales, high turn over or better yet a lawsuit. In addition you his lack of ...it probably explains why the associates are incompetent. Many don't know more than the average person about flooring. When I first visited this location I basically had to find everything myself while several team members are standing or walking around. It's like you are bothering someone if you ask a question. Didn't use to be like this 2 years ago. If you shop here which I discourage make sure you do all your own homework, don't rely on the associates or store manager. They ordered the wrong part for me and after waiting almost 4 weeks I received an incorrect part and basically was told it was my fault. I didn't pay attention to what the associate ordered. I told them what I needed and it was a special order, I thought I was relying on the people that work there to ensure myself as the customer is ordering the correct part. I usually get bad service from this location but I know about flooring so usually I can find things okay. This last time was the nail in the coffin after experiencing the store manager's lack of customer service and leadership training. Off to Home Depot I go...I'll get the right part from elsewhere. The new store looks good but nothing has changed. They locked the doors 10-15 minutes early. They are supposed to be open until 7 but they lock the doors and ignore the customers standing outside.. I went to purchase an item I needed to replace one that did not work. I gave two ladies the item number and they radioed to the warehouse. Rather than trying to find the item I needed. A man who introduced himself as "warehouse manager" marched out there to "handle me". He informed me that I will need to schedule an appointment and come back tomorrow. He said it takes at least an hour to pull an item. In contrast, I went to another Floor and Décor store the next day and the item was placed in my cart within 6 minutes of entering the store and giving the item number. The same thing should've happened at the Brookhaven store with minimal effort read more

I was looking for porcelain tile, polished, color black with white veins. The website shows just such a tile. But Lo! And behold! It's not in stock at the NE Expressway store. Closest is Roswell on Holcomb Bridge. So I trek all the way out there and the tile on display IS black but the inventory is gray to gray greenish. Consultation with their tile expert confirms the black tile on display is probably old and the new lot in inventory is a different color. Yet the website still has it as black. Keep in mind this is porcelain not natural. I guess the website is old too. Anyway he wished me good luck as he dashed away to more important tasks. What a wasted trip OTP. Beware. read more

We tried MANY places before we became return customers at Floor & Décor. They have a great selection, service is usually helpful and everything seems to be in stock. Their financing is great if you want that as an option. The design center is well laid out and has some decent ideas but don't bother making time to see a "designer". CLEARLY, THIS IS THE QUEEN MOTHER! When you first arrive at this location, you will probably do a double-take as I did. It is nothing like the suburban stores in Kennesaw, Buford and Roswell as it is THE original store and appears to be at least 50 years old. Once I adjusted and realized that this store would have its own unique floor plan, I was fine. This is less of a store and more of a warehouse. It is not a wide open floor plan but has sectioned off areas for the different products they carry. Unlike the suburban stores, this Floor and Decor tends to have its products openly stocked right on the floor and not hidden behind display panels. They seemed to have different items than what is stocked in other stores and that is why we came to this location. We found the mosaic tiles that we were looking for and just enjoyed browsing their selection of tiles. Customer service can be a challenge because you have to actually locate someone to assist you if you can't find a specific item. We arrived an hour prior to closing so they weren't as well staffed and you may want to keep this in mind should you plan to visit. Floor and Decor has really grown on me because I have been able to get all of my renovation materials and supplies here. Although I have tried smaller stores, they either fall short on selection or they only carry what is trending and too contemporary for my taste. When it comes to my home, I like a more traditional feel and I especially like those materials that reflect warmth, comfort, function and color. Floor and Decor has allowed me to get the products I wanted without compromising my vision. I like that they have a great selection of finishing pieces for edging and trimming so that you can achieve that cohesive look. THINGS TO KNOW: ***I have found that the easiest way to shop for materials is to start on line and to filter for the specific characteristics, (ink-jet color, rectified edge etc), that you want, verify that they are available in your local store and then check them out in person. This will save a lot of time and energy. ***If you have to purchase items that are not boxed, make sure that you inspect them for chips or missing pieces. ***Prior to having your contractor pick up the purchased supplies, you may want to order items in advance so that you have time to verify that the order is correct. They actually changed the sku number on our items and our contractor became suspicious when they attempted to load 24 instead of 13 boxes. We ended up going to the store to pick up the items ourselves and it took hours on the phone to get the previous charges credited back. ***I love that I don't ever have to keep up with a receipt, I can just use my phone number for returns and items are automatically refunded to the card used to make the purchase. ***If your contractor requests a specific product, get that specific product and do not allow anyone to talk you into the new and improved option. You want your contractor to work with the product that is familiar and predictable to him. You do not want to introduce a new and unknown product because if something goes wrong, it could be a very costly mistake. Once you get accustomed to how things work, you will really enjoy shopping at Floor and Decor. read more

There were about 5 employees standing around the checkout register talking for about 5 minutes before one of them (I think it was the manager) noticed I needed help at the design center desk. Finally, Joshua came over to assist me. At first, he seemed a bit annoyed that he had to help me. His responses to my questions were short which kept leading me to other questions. Eventually, he warmed up and was a wealth of knowledge. I got the impression that the work environment at this store needs some improvement. Hopefully, the employees will be motivated and empowered to give the best customer service possible, the first time. read more

Chieu helped us today and we had such a great experience! She was with us from the moment we walked in the door helping us locate selections that we'd found online, showing us the differences between the type of marble and even helping us decide what styles go together. She also helped us pick the grout and was amazing helping us determine the amounts we needed for our space. Clinton also helped us pick up and load the heavy tiles and let us borrow his knife to open a few boxes to make sure the tiles were all in good condition! I was a little skeptical before we went to floor and decor since our only experience with tiles was at a custom design shop but Chieu made this experience so great! read more

If you have never walked into this store that is on the 85 access road, do so! Let your imagination run wild. You will find lots of different flooring options. I picked out 3 floors for our home. A bamboo flooring for my new room, a concrete lookign tile for my bathroom, and a wood looking tile for the basement. I had so many options to choose from, and if you check in on Yelp, you get a free sample or a discount on it. Hmm..Maybe that was FourSquare. So, my only pet peeve wasd the girl helping us. She clearly needed to vent. She chose me to vent to. I am usually very friendly, but i was on a mission to find floors, not friends. The star of the show was "Bonnie" she helped up with picking out the floor tile as well as the shower tile, and all the stuff needed to complete the job. This place is not consumer friendly. The layout of the store is confusing and the items are not organized well or clearly marked. The customer service is non-existent. There were plenty of employees stacking boxes and moving pallets around (and chatting with each other), but not one person asked me if I needed any help. When I managed to track someone down and ask him where the bathroom tile was located, he literally pointed in a general direction and grunted. Most of the customers seemed to be contractors and professional designers. This might be a good option for them, but If you are just an average homeowner like me looking for assistance in choosing the right flooring, you should look elsewhere. read more

i actually DO go to Floor & Decor for the service and the expert advice, along with pretty good prices. My husband and i have been doing MAJOR renovations on our house, and we've been doing it ourselves! yikes! in spite of the stress of being fairly new to the DIY niche, the guys at Floor and Decor have been superb in helping us to get everything we need, without hassle and fuss. Special kudos and thanks to Ali, Amde, and Robbie for their help in assisting us get the right wood, tile, quarter rounds, and other supplies for our projects. Each of these individuals were really nice as well as insightful. Whenever we walk in and find them, they answer our questions with lots of expertise and without pushing us to buy premium stuff if we don't need it. One tip i will give is if you need ancillary supplies, like brushes and underlayment, you may want to shop around as Floor and Decor don't ALWAYS 100% of the time have the cheapest prices. HOWEVER, i will say that they have quality stuff at superior prices. read more

When my husband and I decided to renovate two bathrooms, my saved Pinterest images could only take us so far. Jordan (at the design center) not only "picked up on" my vision right away, but also helped give us the tools needed to make my dream bathroom(s) a reality. I showed her a picture and brought in a piece of the hardwood floor that would be adjoining the bath. I was thinking something neutral and conservative when she mentioned she knew a perfect tile if I wanted it to be a bit fun. I like fun I said. I was concerned since the space is small and she said it's even better for a smaller space. She shows me the tile then walked with me to get everything I needed so I'd be ready for the installation. Started adding hardwood flooring to our house 2 years ago. It has been the worst experience and will never go back. Summary, the contractor they recommended abandoned job 3/4 the way through. If you ever need to call them, plan to wait 30-40 minutes on hold. Even after we explained to them we wanted delivery to our house they shipped wood to their store and will not setup over phone. You have to physically go into store to set up delivery. Delivery was 6 weeks late and then the 30-40 wait on phone to only hear that "we dont give ship dates, you will have to call daily to get update" i would say go anywhere else other than the Orlando store. While I do appreciate the wide variety of tile selections this location offers, unfortunately, it does not seem that they want our business - specifically in the DESIGN DEPARTMENT; on the afternoon of June 21, 2021! I walked into the (separate building) design department, saw TWO employees on the sales floor, and neither of them even acknowledged that I had walked in! Since one of the two employees on duty that afternoon was already with a customer, I gave the benefit of the doubt for a while. However, after walking around the showroom for 20 minutes, walking past BOTH sales people (one was NOT with a client) multiple times without being greeted or even acknowledged, I decided to leave and give it a go on my own. I would think their design staff works on some sort of commission, so it is confusing to me that NO ONE would even acknowledge that I was there. ?? It was as if I was invisible; they both clearly heard the door chime when I walked in the door, they both were within a visible distance from the door, and they both saw me walk into the door. No one even said "good afternoon". After walking through the displays and samples for over 20 minutes, no one even acknowledged I was in the building. What is the expectation of the management staff for these individuals?? However, when I went into the warehouse/store across the parking lot, every single employee I encountered greeted me and offered their assistance. It was a refreshing change from the extremely DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE I had IN THE DESIGN DEPARTMENT!! SO, for anyone planning on doing business Floor & Decor at the NE Expressway location in Atlanta, DON'T EXPECT ANY ASSISTANCE OR DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE DESIGN DEPARTMENT.
