We shopped at the store off I-85 in Atlanta (1690 Northeast Expy) and soon after browsing in the store for a few minutes we met Lee. Lee was very helpful in guiding us thru the vast selection of flooring choices and he provided top notch customer service. He helped us select our outside porcelain tile and grout, then he walked us to the register to check us out, and even pushed the cart to the parking lot and loaded our SUV for us! Having survived a bathroom renovation (and emerged from it still speaking to my wife), I find I have a profound appreciation for this place. Before you shell out a lot of cash on the tile for your renovation, give this store a look. There's a very good chance they have the tile you saw at Home Depot, Lowe's, et al but for a lot less. The selection ranges from dirt cheap flooring to high end marble. They stock indoor and outdoor items as well as every possible tool or item you would need to refloor a room. My advice: shop around and pick out what you like, then come here and look for something similar for a lot less. And don't buy a tile saw, that's a rental item unless you intend to make a living tiling... read more

"Yeah, well you know, maybe the house could use a little remodeling." -- Beetlejuice (1988) Wow that's a ton of tile in one place! I had no idea I there are so many hundreds of options - but now I do. My contractor brought me here to walk through and pick out new tile for my shower walls, shower floor, bathroom floor and accent tiles. There are almost too many options. We wandered for an hour and once we found the shower tile I loved, we walked around to find match floor tiles and accent tiles. They really need little cards to take so you know what you want - there are not a ton of people around offering their help. So instead, we took pictures with our cell phones. I picked out some travertine, ceramic, glass - but again no one came up to help. But on the good side, my contractor knew what to do and how to order what we wanted. If I were just a Joe Schmo off the street, I would probably have been super frustrated. Biggest pet peeve is that the travertine we bought for my shower floor - the box was full of broken tiles. They clearly do not handle the boxes well in the warehouse. So that was annoying when my tile lady showed up to work - having to swap them out. Luckily, I didn't have to deal with that directly, but it still should not have happened. read more

F&D Outlets offers decent prices; great service from everyone we dealt with except for the cashiers... we ran into many problems with the cashiers. There were always people standing around but apparently there's only 1 register open until the checkout line gets long. 1) 1st cashier rung up the wrong price for all ~50 boxes of hardwood. The price was per sq ft & not per box so I guess she got confused somehow? who knows.... she wasn't very friendly either. 2) when we returned the boxes we didn't need, 2nd cashier charged our credit card again instead of issuing a refund. HOW?!?! 3) 3rd cashier successfully refunded our account but there was no apology. We only had to make an hr drive there and back for a mistake that F&D made.... I don't have much confidence to recommend F&D to anyone I know after all the careless mistakes by F&D cashiers. The inconvenience outweighed whatever saving (if any) we had by purchasing at F&D. read more

NEVER, EVER, EVER order anything through this store! Made simple special order (moldings and T-junctions) late September. 2 weeks have passed. Called - "It is not here yet". After three weeks started calling at least once a week and could not get any info re order, only "It is not here yet". Friday, October 31-st - drove to a store, manager was very sorry, wrote down my number, promised to get on top the matter and to call. She did not. Thursday, November 6 - called, manager picked up, said that it is more than a month, promised to find out the order status. Friday, November 7 drove to a store and there found out that SOMEBODY RE-ORDERED MY ORDER THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6 AND IT'LL BE IN STORE NO EARLIER THAN NOVEMBER 26! Communications are on almost zero level; you are not being notified/updated that something went wrong, that there is delay, that there is a problem. Material and price wise it is all right but NEVER, EVER, EVER order anything through this store or CHECK YOUR ORDER ALMOST DAILY! read more

We decided to stop by last weekend and review our selection of hardwood flooring that we chose for a renovation. While there we were second guessing the color choice and decided we might want to go a little lighter on the color. We were in the design center and asked one of the ladies if we could get a sample of the flooring so we could take home and check in the room lighting. The answer was no. We'd been there earlier and across the parking lot at the warehouse they had given us a sample to take home of the earlier hardwood, no charge. We walked over there and met a gentleman who told us that the sample board for the hardwood we were looking for was missing (most likely was checked out by someone) and they didn't have any more sample pieces to give out. He said that for $50 we could check out the sample board and take it home. When we brought it back, we'd get our money back. Fair enough...even though $50 sounds a bit high I assume they want to make it hurt a little if you don't bring it back. They said to head back over to the design center and ask to check out the board. We headed back over to the design center and asked to check out the board. "We don't do that" was the answer. I told her that the guy next door said you did. "We're not the same as them" was the answer. "We have a different manager and he said we don't do that". I'd be find with buying a box from the floor and taking that home for a test. If I didn't like it, I'd just bring it back but this was special order flooring. There wasn't anything in stock. I'm supposed to special order flooring without making sure the color will work in my home? Apparently so. I've purchased many items from F&D in the past and have been happy with their product and the service from the warehouse. It's a shame the same level of service hasn't been extended over to the design center. I've contacted the floor manufacturer to see if there's another local company that sells their product. If not, I may have to go to one of F&D's other area locations. read more

I've made six trips to this location in the past month, in preparation for my kitchen remodel. Today, as the project was nearing an end and my backsplash was almost finished, I was told that I was four tiles short! I purchased the backsplash tiles at another store and they were special ordered. That meant I had to try to find a close enough match at Floor and Decor. Got to the store in a panic since I couldn't find anything similar on my own. Right at the time that I was about to give up, a very helpful employee found a tile that closely matched mine!!! Yesterday another employee helped me get the right color and size tile edge. With the exception of a couple of visits here, over the span of nearly ten years, everyone has been very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices here also can't be beat. read more

My wife and I were pretty clueless about the tile for remodeling our master bathroom shower. We went to Floor and Decor and were blown away at the full service design help we got from Melissa Hagerty. Not only did she help us keep our four year old son from losing his mind, she truly listened to what was important to us and came up with a very creative concept for our shower that FIT OUR BUDGET. Great selection and great prices. The store as a whole is busy and can feel chaotic but there are some people there who really know what's going on and make it all worth it to shop there. I just called to check on an order and found out it was out a week from getting in stock - my installer is starting tomorrow and only has a small window to complete the job. I discussed the issue with Tanya in customer service. I was going to have to go there and cancel my order and find an in stock tile to replace it. She called me back to tell me she just discovered the same tile was in stock at their Roswell store under another SKU - I would have never figured that out! Went by yesterday looking for a specific tile. I was assisted by Al. While the store inventory showed 68 in stock, it was not where it should have been on the showroom floor. These were the tiles I wanted!!! After an exhaustive search throughout the showroom and stock room, Al finally found them!! Not only were his customer service skills amazing, he pulled this off with a sling on his arm!! Tile will be installed this weekend and I'm looking forward to the finished results!! Rudest and most unhelpful people on the planet. "Joyce" at the register was probably the most unfriendly and rudest person i have ever met, period! This is supposed to be a fun experience picking out tile for a renovation and she ruined that and more! I had 2 encounters with her but never again! Both times she could not have been more abrupt or unpleasant. First trip she insisted i didn't need my contractors name on the receipt to pick up the items. Guess what? I did need to let them know but she refused. So i had to make another trip over during my day to let him be able to pick up. Second trip was a return of unused items. I have no idea how this business is still arround. Customer service is the least of their concern. I purchased 2500.00 worth of supplies and then was told they did not have it stock after waiting for over an hour in their hot warehouse. No apology was given!!!! A manager did not even approach me, the night supervisor (Sean) took over and let me know the product would be guaranteed to be available with 9 days. So after they ensured the product would be available on the following Saturday I decided not to return th entire purchase. The next week I tried to place a call the store, spending over an hour trying to get someone to just answer the phone to double check and make sure my order would be ready I was placed into an endless ringing, ringing, ringing, ringing.... I tried again several times and finally got someone, I asked for the manager. Rachel answered and told me my order would be available at 11 am on Saturday. I will never purchase anything from this business EVERRRR! i will make sure that no one that I know will ever make a purchase at this location or any other Floor an Decor store. Dissapointed with the entire experience. In addition the entire staff was unconcerned with assisting anyone at all - especially the front counter staff members. If I could give them a zero I would. We special ordered subway tile and bull nose for our master bath in March. They told us 3-5 weeks. After 5 weeks I tried contacting them via chat, email and left voice mails. They either were ignored or I was given the run around. Finally after two weeks of trying to find out about our order, a manager called me and said they had "dropped the ball" and forgot to order the bullnose. So another 5 weeks later, no response via emails or voicemails. It is now July. Today my husband was just leaving to drive over an hour to get a refund because we were fed up! Just as he was getting in the car, we get an email that states "Good News! Your tile is in!" from Floor and Decor. He drives over an hour from Dahlonega to Buford, waits in line 15 - 20 minutes only to be told it will be an hour and a half to two hours before they can bring it out from Receiving!, Are you kidding me? So he and the customer behind him waited another 15 minutes for a refund. Lesson learned ...worst customer service ever...5 months of runaround ...taking our business elsewhere! read more

I just spent about an hour at Floor & Decor with a great salesperson named Shakespeare. He was immediately all in to help me from start to finish. He had great knowledge of their vast selection and excellent design ideas. Shakespeare went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed (down to the shluters and hand-picked grout colors) for the 2 bathrooms I am redoing. I highly recommend working with Shakespeare. I only wish he worked on commission-- instead, he deserves a raise! read more

We just completed a series of home improvement projects. And we might have 30+ different purchases over the last 4-5 months. The reason I have giving one star less is because the store personnel are not readily available. But if we are able to find one, they are knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. Once we completed all our projects, I went with the remaining items with 30+ receipts in hand and assuming that my whole Saturday morning would be wasted as they return goods from different receipts...but I was wrong. Rosie helped me with the returns, she first made an inventory of everything I was returning and worked on her system completed all the returns in 15 mins. Great experience! read more

I was warned about visiting this location on a Friday - I would never be able to find someone to help me. That was absolutely NOT the case as we met Ca'Rinthya shortly after we walked in the door. I knew exactly what I wanted after finding it on their website. I showed her the picture and between her and her manager, she was able to take us right to it. We lucked out in that they had only 7 cases of 24 tiles each. The manager was looking to move this product and he offered us the special price of $.50 each (they were originally listed for $1.57 each) and I agreed to take all 7 cases even though I only needed 70 tiles. Ca'Rinthya stayed with us the entire time, even offering to wheel the cart to the front in spite of the fact that there was one more thing I wanted to look at. She was so very helpful and definitely knew what she was very knowledgeable. I had a great experience and will seek out Ca'Rinthya on my next visit. read more

I purchase $4k +wood flooring and custom t moldings. The moldings arrived with no mounting track. I called customer service 3x, wrote several notes via email and even tried their online chat session but I never got a call back or an answer. If they do not know the answer they send an automated email saying your problem has been resolved. Wish it was that easy. Proceed with caution. Their customer service is spotty and my advice is to shop another flooring provider or the manufacturer of the product. read more

Just called them to ask if they carry block grip pvc floor covering for a closet and a lady answered, immediately sounded annoyed. The call had so much background noise like the call was going through a burger king drive through speaker and she would tell me anything without a SKU # ....I was just trying to find out if they carried PVC flooring at their store. However, I did not know anything whatsoever about tile, grout, etc. My realtor suggested contacting Jordan Hackworth and he was the BIGGEST help. He made informed suggestions based on my budget and vision. He was patient, kind, professional and very responsive (including via text message). The major things that are wrong with this place is the fact that they are totally unorganized and shipped me items that were open or didn't match the color that I wanted at all. The NE Expressway contractor pick up department is a true nightmare. Waiting almost an hour for my confirmed online order, it turned out they did not have my order in inventory after all. I stood alongside other frustrated contractors watching a total lack of competency in their pick-up department. I was told to drive to Morrow to pick up my order. Morrow had a better flow, I had my supplies within 10 minutes and help loading it into my truck. I will never order pick up from this store again. This company has such antiquated systems and is so completely disorganized, they will never even order what you buy. We purchased four different products for a simple shower renovation; 2 of which needed to be "ordered". We were told to check back in 2 weeks. Two weeks later, after countless phone calls (THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IN THEIR WAREHOUSE), we went to the warehouse. After shuffling through mounds of paper, we were told that of the two items that should have been ordered, one was never ordered and the other was pushed back 2-3 weeks when ordered. We had to go to three different locations to find all the tile we needed my husband picked up some of it at the Clairmont Road location they put the wrong tile on the truck had it all wrapped with the wrong SKU number. When we called the Clairemont Road location to let them know they told us it was our fault for not double checking the SKU!!! Seriously?
