I've purchased a ~$3000 front entry door from the Roswell location. the weather stripping on it was cut too short by the factory and had to be replaced. when I tried to contact their "customer service", the person I spoke with (Ishio) blamed me for "not checking the door before installing it" and was unable to offer a proper solution or send someone to fix/replace it. Returning the door at this point is not an option and they know it. Their "warranty" won't cover labor required to replace it (~$160) I was told that I should get a call from the general manager Tim, needless to say no one called. read more

Purchased Elizabeth iron door, bought 2 door handles, had it installed with the installer they recommended. Totaling over $7,000. I call store to inform them of the issues/defects (cracking paint, different color washers, welding rod stuck on hinge, foam falling off) they tell me to file warrant claim which I did same day. Today is July 22nd and I still do not have an estimated time of repair. I do have a very rude and inconsiderate person (Ishio) emailing me and telling me it's my fault because I didn't inspect the crated, screwed 300lb crates before they left their building. I would think that is their job..... Needless to say DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE OR ANY OF THEM unless you enjoy quality defects on $7000 doors. worst experience! spent over 10k on interior doors, first the custom framing took forever and later when the doors were finally ready, the sizes we ordered were completely off. Long story short, home center outlet was not at all cooperated to solve the issue, later the door bores where not aligned and had very hard time for our contractor to install the locks due to the holes not aligned. do not buy interior doors from home center, and if you have no choice make sure everything is in good shape before you take it home. our biggest nightmare! read more

If any of my Atlanta friends have been thinking about buying any products from the Home Center Outlet, I just have to share my experience. We spent over $3,000 for a double front door unit that looked beautiful, but was very defective. The seals on all 8 panes of glass are broken. The company barely communicates, waits for 30 days or more in between messages, won't respond to emails and questions, and even though I've copied the owner/founder Mike Asalone, he has never bothered to respond. I'm still waiting for a response to questions from last year. It wasn't until I threatened communication from a lawyer did I even find out that my warranty claim has supposedly been approved. But there is no indication of when I'll ever get replacement doors. And I spent $750 to install the defective doors they sold me. They have no interest in making this right. Frankly, I'm tired of waiting to see if they have any integrity at all. They don't. So please take your business elsewhere. read more

I went to the Home Center in Kennesaw Ga and purchased a bath tub that was not at that location but was at the Atlanta location for pickup. I purchased the tub there from a very nice professional manager at the Kennesaw location and later I rented a truck and went to the Atlanta location to pick up my Tub. I had my plumber scheduled I took off work and rented a truck. When I got to the Atlanta location I learned they sold my tub. I was too upset to make matters worse they refused to give me a refund. They told me to go back to the Kennesaw location because they would have to refund my money and it would negatively impact their sales. I was very insulted how I was treated, this is a very sensitive world right now and this service was extremely poor.., please don't shop here. A big thank you to the team at the Atlanta ( Spaghetti Junction) location. I will admit I had done trying times; however, they worked together abd took care of my issue. My original purchase was messed up-right doors, but the wrong size-both of them! This was actually an easy fix, but it did take some negotiations due to my paying for delivery and now they expected me to fry the doors back to them, etc. After agreeing to details that worked for us both my new doors arrived! Now after a few months of being installed one of the thresholds failed. I contacted them, sent pics etc. They immediately agreed it needed replaced. I could not pick up as I recently had foot surgery and they don't ship. To my surprise worked out a way for someone to drop it at my home! After a couple of days I checked back. they confirmed it had been dropped...the issue was they dropped at the wrong house. They made it right and delivered another threshold, but once I looked at it I informed them it was wrong. Tim Beasley from the store came out and took care of it! He obviously wanted to do the right thing. He explained it was the correct part but it wasn't the part needed. He took the defective piece with him, had another piece made and then returned a couple days later! I purchased two doors from here and spent 900 dollars. I had the exact size measurements. The sales guy told me the door was standard and would fit just fine. Turns out one of the door didn't fit at all. First they tried to tell me I couldn't return the door, then they said I had to pay a restocking fee. I drove an hour and half to get these doors and driving an hour and half to bring this door back on my only day off and losing money. They will tell you anything to get you to make a purchase so be careful and do your research first before buying. read more

Absolute worst experience I ever had. The Assistant Manager at the Atlanta location was such a rude arrogant person that I never will step foot in there again. He would tell his workers to 'shut up' in front of customers and argue with customers when the customer had a valid issue. I even called other locations and the they all were aware of Andre. Came to purchase an exterior door that was advertised at the wrong price. The store would not honor the falsely advertised item or make an concessions due to the error that was made on their behalf. I wouldn't recommend anyone making a purchase from the Home Center Outlet company. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Home Center Outlet. My husband and I were in the market for an iron door (most unexpectedly, I might add, as our current front door showed no signs of rotting until I closed it last week!) and had traveled from Dawsonville on recommendation from a trusted source that HCO was the place to go. Howard immediately greeted us and spent three hours with us finding the perfect door for our home. He went above and beyond, contacting lock companies and other specialty companies to ensure that we would be able to use a Smart lock with our new door. He physically tried different door handles to make sure the ones we purchased would fit our door and our style. The amount of time spent to make sure we were truly happy with our purchase and our choices was far and away the best. We feel completely confident we received the best price and absolutely KNOW we had the best customer service. A business should not need to photocopy your driver's license in order to do business with you. I wasn't even asked if I consented to this. There's a sign on the register that says a photocopy of my DL must be attached to their in-store copy of the receipt, which I guess they feel is enough consent. I understand the need for precautions, but this seems excessive. Though not super likely, identity theft is possible with just a photocopy of a DL. They have my ID# and birthday and there is personal information that can be obtained with those numbers. If I were to ever have a problem with that, this business will be listed as a potential place where personal information might have been stolen. And really, once my credit card goes through, why do you want to know my DL number, DOB and where I live? read more

I am sorry for the long review but this horrible, terrible, customer experience needed to be shared so no one else has to endure what we endured with HCO's inferior product....I do not recommend anyone shop at Home Center Outlet. Their ethics, customer service, and fecklessness are like that of a shady car sales lot. I purchased a standalone bathtub with air jets, February 2020. Towards the end of August 2020 and after 6 mos. of regular usage by me and husband, the air jets stop working. I contacted HCO at the beginning of September 2020 and was told by the young lady that answered that it is probably the air tubing has come loose...it usually what happens when the jets have stopped working... typically after 6 mos. of usage. She also stated that it's an installation issue...when installers put the bathtub in, they didn't seal the air tubing with silicone. She also told me I should contact my contractor and have him look into it. She further explained if I wanted someone to come out from HCO, there would be a $75.00 fee and it would become non-refundable if it was the tubing installation versus a manufacturer problem. I said fine I would contact my contractor. During this conversation...nothing was mentioned about my responsibility to uninstall the bathtub and turn it on its side for the HCO repair person to inspect it. Neither was it mentioned that I would be responsible for re-install after the repair. My contractor came over and explained what the issue was supposed to be. He said there was nothing in the installation instructions that mentioned sealing the tube with silicone. He said it's a manufacturer issue as most air jet bathtubs come with the tubing already attached. Meaning the installer typically do not have to reinforce most air jet bath tubing during installation. Okay, fast forward mid-September 22, I filled out the necessary paperwork and paid the fee for someone to come out and look at the bathtub. I was told the repair person would call me to set up a time. In this conversation, nothing was mentioned about a shortage of repair staff due to COVID-19. A whole week went by with no call from a repair person. I emailed management at HCO to inform them... Instead of HCO acknowledging my email, they had the repair person email me to say he would be contacting me to set up a date and time. The next day the repair person said he would be able to come on Sunday morning which I thought was odd. On Sunday no one showed even after I called twice and left messages. The next day I received a call from one of the repair guys and he asked for my address and asked me to explain the issue. After explaining the issue he went on to explain how the tubing should have been sealed...blah blah...that was on 10/5. I told him that I would still like for him to come to take a look at it and fix it. He said he was swamped and would get back to me during the week to set up a time. He called two days later on Wednesday 10/7 to ask if he could stop by. It was 5 pm and my family and I were in the middle of dinner and planned on packing for a trip that we were leaving for on Thursday morning...I told him no it was not a good time. I explained he would need to come after Tuesday of the following week. He again explained how swamped he was and mentioned that HCO needs to stop selling these bathtubs because it is an issue that happens a lot with that model and how he is so busy he can't keep working on that particular issue. I listened to his ramblings and told him I would call him next Tuesday to let him know we were back in town. The next Tuesday, I texted and said my schedule was wide open for the week. No response to my text all week. I called the manager at HCO and before I was allowed to speak with him, the gentleman that answered the phone asked me the issue. I told him the issue and he started with the tubing and silicone...blah blah and he said we don't come and repair that issue since it is not a manufacturer issue. I told him I'd already paid for someone to come out, and we don't know whose responsibility it is to fix it because no one has come to look it and I would like to speak to a manager. I spoke to the manager who said he would have the repair person call me on Monday of the following week. At 2:15 pm on Monday 10/19, I emailed the manager of the store and told him I had not heard anything and it was practically the end of the business day. After going back and forth with emails and Facebook DMs I requested my $75.00 back and will get it repaired myself. Don't do business with this shady company. My response to the owner's comments: Christina, consumers can read mine other's reviews and decide what type of business HCO is. All of us are not inaccurate and we don't have time to sit around and plot to bring HCO down. You guys have terrible business practices. Period!! read more

Buyer beware! There is a very specific reason why Home Center Outlet doesn't allow returns. It is because they just want your money and don't stand behind any of their products. If you buy a product, get it home, open the box to find that it is damaged or defective, you are stuck with it. If their product is faulty and breaks, they blame you or the installer and keep your money. You can literally see them blame the customer or the installer in every negative post response. Do you see big box retailers like Home Depot or Lowe's do that? No. Do you see any of Home Center Outlets smaller competitors do that? No. This company has zero ethics. I bought a glass shower door from Home Center Outlet which was defective from their manufacturer in China and the glass blew up in my face 20 minutes after installation which cut my hands, arms and legs. An industry professional reviewed the product and found four critical points of failure that could cause this to happen to anybody who buys this product manufactured especially for Home Center Outlet. The Home Center Outlet owners would not replace the item nor refund my money. I spoke to an attorney about their product liability and business practices because Home Center Outlet should not be selling unsafe products to consumers! Additionally they basically stole my money by selling a defective product that was doomed to break. Do not shop here. Far from an outlet with prices the same as Lowes and Home Depot. Had plumbers coming so had to get one right Way because Home Depot delivered my. Maury with a cracked vanity top, but don't get me started about their UPS freight service. They must be on commission. Saleswoman was super nice but knew I was definitely buying right then and there. Unfortunately, we found out HCO does not deliver, but instead advertises a company called TommyRun. DO NOT USE TOMMYRUN!!! They were an absolute nightmare to work with. They ended up damaging my beautiful vanity during delivery and now I'm stuck with the bill for fixing it because HCO will not fix anything that TommyRun damages. LOST IN TRANSLATION Something was obviously lost in translation when I considered this as a viable option for cabinets. I was focused on this being a "warehouse" with lots of options and one stop shopping. I wasn't thinking seconds and surplus. Much of what I did see was just cheap and uninspiring. This was not at all what I was looking for and would probably be more appropriate for builders looking for "builder grade" products. Those who enjoy doing things themselves and don't mind traipsing through all of the displays to save a few dollars probably would not mind shopping here. It obviously wasn't my thing. I prefer quality and items that are displayed and staged in a meaningful way. I was not at all interested in this store and really lasted about five minutes. The primary reason I could not go any further had to do with this place being extremely hot and uncomfortable. They have no air whatsoever and this is just unreasonable in these extreme temperatures. Our sales rep, Todd Henry, is very responsive. He returns calls almost immediate. He's knowledgeable about the products they sell. The cabinet quality does range based on the price you're willing to pay. Our white shaker cabinets look great. It is half the price of a similar set of cabinets from home depot. Our cabinets came in 1.5 weeks after we ordered. We also bought a window from here and it was the cheapest we could find for the size and style we needed. One thing that is somewhat inconvenient is that they do not do returns, only store credit. So make sure you are 100% sure before you buy anything from here. I have done exchanges/store credit here and they did not give us any issues. They also do not do price matches or guarantees. read more

Buyer Beware and Do Your Research I struggled to find the words to write this review because I'm still quite emotional about the business transactions between my family and HCO. First all, I do want to say thank you to the manager AB, located at the Kennesaw location. Once she was made aware of the situation (due to us asking to speak to a manager), she regularly communicated with us until she did what she could do on her end. We purchased cabinets and granite countertops in December 2019 with a salesman who I will call SS. The cabinets were delivered in 2 shipments because some were on back order for quite some time. All cabinets were delivered and installed by February 2020. Issue #1: when we purchased the cabinets, we were told by the salesman SS, that there was a year warranty on the cabinets. Cool! Issue #2: When we purchased the cabinets, we were also told that the manufacturer supplied the glass that went into our cabinet doors. The cabinets were delivered, and NO GLASS! SS advised us he made a mistake and that we had to pay for the glass to be installed. We then had to remove the doors and take them to a glass company to pay for and have the glass installed. Cabinets were installed in Feb 2020 and in March 2020, we noticed the cabinet doors and panels on some of the cabinets were cracking and bubbling up. I reached out to SS with my concerns and pictures. We were told a warranty claim would be made and he would get back to us. We didn't hear back from him until May (2 months later and only because we called for an update) with an email saying our claim was approved and the damaged items would be replaced. He would contact us to schedule a pick-up of the damaged items. 2 weeks went by and still hadn't heard from SS. I then noticed a significant crack at the top of a door, so I now wanted to speak to the manager. She was unaware of any of the issues we were experiencing since the purchase. To our surprise, we were told that the cracked drawer wouldn't be replaced, and our warranty claim was denied, despite the salesman SS telling us it was approved. We later found out that outside of a manufacturer warranty, we had no 1-year warranty. The only time anything would be replaced is if the manufacturer was at fault. We asked for a copy of their "manufacturer's warranty" but never received one. The cabinet doors and panels would be replaced by taking the items off a vanity (floor model), but we had to pay someone to put them on, for they wouldn't cover the cost. We were told our items were damaged due to water, which wasn't the case. We spoke to the owner, Christina , on their website chat option and that was only because initially she didn't know who I was. After looking up my name(still on chat), she told us that we misused our cabinets and that we should be happy with what parts they were giving to us. I then asked her to call me (still talking on the chat). She said the manager of the store had everything they needed. I guess that was a no. We then called the owners location and left her a message with a store worker, asking her to call us. NO CALL. I asked her for a copy of the manufacturer's warranty but didn't get one. This is a woman who talks about how important customer service is on her company bio and prides herself on helping customers create their dream homes. This had been more like a nightmare for me. No responsibility was taken for us being lied to on more than 1 occasion by the salesman, and we were blamed for misusing our cabinets. How in the world can you misuse cabinets? Even after knowing of our experience, not once did the owner reach out to us on her own to find out what happened. Shame on her. This company has many reviews, both good and bad. I encouraged everyone to do their research prior to making such a large purchase. Read reviews and go on the Better Business Bureau before you make any decisions. We mattered until the purchase was made. No accountability was taken by HCO for being lied to by their salesman on SEVERAL occasions. Thank you again to the store manager for doing what she could. Update: In reference to the owners response, lets be clear Christina, YOU didn't do anything. You didn't send anyone out to look at the cabinets you said we misused in 30 days. YOU didn't bother to return any of the 2 requests we sent to speak with you. And yes, although there was a pandemic, COVID-19 didn't stop AB from staying in contact with us. At some point prior to AB being known of the situation, HCO was open for limited business. We made our claim in March, and didn't get a response until May. And on top of that, the response that the claim was approved was a lie. Our issue isn't with the store manager, for she did what she could. She knows what customer service looks like. I initially started out at the Mall of Georgia, Buford store to purchase a vanity freestanding tub and freestanding faucet for my bathroom renovation. My vanity was not available in Buford and I was told to go to the Atlanta store. When I arrived at the Atlanta store I was told the vanity was not available and that it could be shipped from the Marietta store. Fast forward 2 weeks and I still have no notification of the arrival of my products. When I called the Atlanta store no one knew what I was talking about. I was told they made a mistake that the product was not available in Marietta and that it was not in stock anywhere. A couple hours later someone from the Atlanta store called me to say that they had located my vanity and that it was in the Atlanta store for pickup. Now I'm going to pick up my product. When I get them home come to find they have given me the wrong free standing faucet. Now I have to go to Buford to exchange it. Tremendous inconvenience. They train their employees to look for any possible way you as a customer could have been at fault, thus making you lose your money and now you are stuck with a product that was sold in defective condition to you. Most of their stock is what retail considers RTV, which is defective merchandise that has been previously bought and then returned to the original vendor for being "bad".
