Not satisfied with service ... I was asked to measure faucet over the phone. I'm not a plumber nor contractor. I measured based on verbal instructions from employee. The installer declined to see the faucet when they arrived. I was left with wrong faucet holes. Now I have to buy new faucets ($300). No resolution from the company. read more

After reading the negative reviews I wondered why I used this company BUT I realized that after 100s of installs most people will not take the time to post a positive review. You know the squeaky wheel gets the attention. ANYWAY I had a good experience with APF. I visited the showroom 3 times and work with the ladies there. They were not pushy and gave me the info I needed. Picked out the granite and scheduled the installation. The gentleman that came to make the template was knowledgeable and friendly. The installers were early and demolition was quick and the granite installation was painless. The two installers were friendly and worked meticulously to level and seam the stone. They do excellent work. They offer a great selection of countertop materials at very competitive prices. We chose their stock quartz material for our kitchen and quartz remnants for each of our three bathrooms. The remnants permitted us to save substantially on materials cost for the bathrooms without sacrificing one iota of quality. Though we heard rumors of better prices, in our research of countertop installers east of Atlanta, we found none who could match their good prices. And we saw no shortcuts in the template design, materials cutting, or the install. We saw excellent quality every step of the way. My Thanksgiving plans were altered because I was given one price for countertops ($42 a square foot) and then the price was increased ($58 a square foot)when it came time for the install. When I learned of this price increase we contacted the company to ask for them to honor the original price we were given. We spoke to Megan who said she could not give us the sale price for the countertops, because we did not pay a deposit. On the day I ordered the countertop, I asked if they needed any payment from me, and they said no and that they would be reaching out to my contractor and let me know when payment was due. After two conversations with Megan to ask her to honor the original price she refused but offered a small discount on the higher price ($50 a square ft) .We reluctantly agreed. When I called after work that day to make a payment, Megan was not available for me to make payment. I emailed her, and she replied that my contractor would be contacting me. When my contractor contacted me I was told that A Polished Finish was canceling my order, because they were scared we would complain if they made any mistakes on our countertops or if they damaged anything. We were left with no countertops right before Thanksgiving. Due to having no countertops we also could not have our sink or dishwasher hooked up either. We have had to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink, and we have two children 2 and under and my disabled brother staying with us. I called and left a message for the owner to call me and he never did. We were forced to scramble and find another company for countertops right before the holidays. I had to take a day off work to do this quickly. Luckily we found a great reputable company who gave us an honest and fair price and can install our countertops in the next couple weeks so we can have a functional kitchen before Christmas. If you are looking for a great, reputable, and professional company to work with for countertops I recommend not going to A Polished Finish and instead going to AA Marble and Granite LLC in Norcross. Avoid at all cost! It all started off great working with the countertop peeps. We were able to pick a slab out and even got in on their sidewalk sale! It went down hill from there when we started working with the cabinet division. Justin Durham, apparently a general manager, was the most unprofessional "manager" I have ever come across. From the first appointment of getting measurements, to being email a catalog with no explanation of products, to unanswered emails and lack of communication. Wrong cabinets were ordered and tried to be installed - he would take no responsibility for the issues. My husband ended up going to the showroom, for the second time this week, to get this sorted out and was met in the parking lot and handed two checks for our deposits. Glad we got our money back but the showroom full of people have no idea what kind of company they are dealing with. read more

NIGHTMARE of your WORST DREAMS!!!! The subcontractor installing the countertops FLOODED MY HOUSE and I had NO KITCHEN for 8 MONTHS!!! ENTIRE KITCHEN had to be ripped out and the flooding was on TWO FLOORS of my house. A POLISHED FINISH was NOT COOPERATIVE and their insurance was even worse to deal with!!!!! FIled a formal complaint, finally, with the State of Georgia Insurance Commissioner's Office. $70,000 and 8 months later, I finally have my kitchen back. And I started over with countertops and installation from a REPUTABLE COMPANY. RUN..... RUN from this company!!!!! read more

A Polished finish installed granite in the condo above mine and damaged the plumbing causing extensive water damage to my condo directly below. They have denied responsibility The condo owner and other parties involved have verified they are responsible. In addition to the office manager being hostile and rude on the phone, they are refusing to provide me with the company insurance information for me to file a claim to make this right. Not only was I forced to pay for the damages out of pocket, but now I am incurring legal fees. In choosing a contractor, you want to work with a company that is going to do the right thing in any situation. That does not seem to be the case with this company. read more

Just recently had my kitchen completely revamped from old and dark to new, modern, and beautiful. Brand new custom cabinets and granite tops. The cabinet guy...Chris did a great job and was easy and flexible to work with and Joel went above and beyond during the design phase and the project management. We had a few scheduling issues but that is not uncommon in construction based or remodeling based businesses. We worked around it and everything came out awesome in the end. I had a very poor experience with this business and paid premium for it. My granite was irreparably damaged during the install (cracked) and the owner of the business refused to replace the damaged granite and was disrespectful during the encounter. The owner said he would send someone out to repair the cracked granite. He charged me $175.00 for his crew to come out and put putty on cracked granite. He basically told me too bad and that he could get away with not replacing anything. I paid over $1000.00 for an install where my materials were damaged beyond repaid. I would NOT recommend anyone that I know to do business with them you will regret it!!! read more

Stay away!!!! Horrible service. They're late to their appointments or they cancel last minute. They installed granite countertops at a new construction and didn't even finish. They broke one section of the backsplash and the replacement piece they sent was SO different, it didn't even look like the original. From there, Heather just said they wouldn't be able to find a match, but didn't even try. She had gotten paid for the job and considered it done for. I was getting stuck with a BRAND NEW UNFINISHED KITCHEN. Heather is terrible work with too. When things went south one too many times (because of the bad installation job they had done, the multiple broken appointments and the unprepared workers they sent), she had the nerve to let me know how frustrating all this was for her, even when I was the customer. I had to install tile backsplash in the end because they created an impossible situation!!! All this happened in a two month period and just because I kept calling them and following up. Didn't even get started. Called to get a quote for new countertops and shower and the gentleman showed up on schedule and on time to take measurements. This was a Monday, and he told us that he would have us a quote by middle of the week, and specifically said give me to Wednesday. Wednesday comes and no call or email. Thursday comes and same. Friday morning we call and speak to a lady who tells us they are moving offices and that's probably where the lack of communication comes from but she will call us back the same day with an update. Following week and no call or email. Saturday we go to a cabinetry place close and within the hour have a quote and date for install. We are trying to pay them thousands of dollars to do work, and they cant get a quote on time or return our call. Thanks but no thanks we will take our money to someone that wants it. Cant speak on quality of work, but there follow up and communication is poor. read more
