FIRST TIME VISIT Holy smokes! I thoroughly enjoyed this little place- and if you like a tea and scone break as much as I do, you've GOT to stop by. Conveniently nestled in the center of The Painted Tree collection of boutique goodies in one humongous shopping space, there is so much to ogle and covet. Go ahead, set an hour or two (3 if you're me) and make it a Saturday or weekday afternoon drop in spot. I believe the tea shop is closed on Sundays. I was indecisive on what to drink and although I walked up 10 mins past closing time, two workers helped get me a lovely order of an iced Hojicha (roasted matcha) Tea Latte. They don't have soy milk, so I went with regular and the drink is slightly sweet, has a lovely roasted taste and I just HAD to have more. Their own boutique space for loose teas and merch sales are just across from their tea house set up. A worker gave me some great recommendations and when I could not find the ground version of the Hojicha tea (they have whole leaves, as well), he went into the tea shop and made me one. I'm so glad I was invited to a birthday party as this restaurant since I now know about the Painted Tree Boutique. The party was slow getting started so I went wandering around and discovered some of the quaint little shops that dot the building. I ordered the Italian Chicken sandwich with tomato soup and it was quite good. The service was kind of slow but it was a fairly large party of people so that was to be expected. They did a great job of explaining their teas and which ones were good cold or hot. I can't wait to return to the Painted Tree Boutique to see what's new and then grab a sandwich at the Steeped Leaf. read more

This place is wonderful, I am not a tea person but I went here because I wanted to learn more it was amazing, Tammy was insightful and regal and there were so many teas, she has quite the collection and at a reasonable price, the cafe was delightful and so quaint and cozy. The service was amazing. Be aware that The Steeped Leaf is inside this incredible mall (look at my photo). Our gps said we were there but all we saw was the mall. My daughter spoted the logo on the outside window. You want to stop here and enjoy some tea and their food. The owner was super sweet and we love that you feel like you are in your own space. We enjoyed a big pot of tea for less than $9. Their sandwiches were amazing. My daughter took a photo of hers. It was my daughter's birthday and she was so happy she picked this place for lunch. Also fun was walking around this mall. read more

Awesome place! Tea party is too costly but a nice treat for a small group of friends.

I love this tea lounge, it's inside the painted tree. I usually order as soon as I get there and walk around, depending on how many people, it can be a little wait but I don't mind since it gives me time to walk the first half of the store. Great place to have a girls day. read more

This week was one for discoveries. Our first discovery was Painted Tree Boutique, which was a good shopping experience, but inside we found our second and favorite discovery, The Steeped Leaf. This little spot is surrounded by shopping booths and nicely decorated locales. What makes The Steeped Leaf unique is that it is a tea lunch spot. Beautified with gorgeous chairs and comfortable looking tables, it is ideal for a stop and drink, or eat, as you will. We were curious and asked about their teas, and were given an impressive menu with many tea selections. Their teas are served by the pot and when I tell you they are incredibly affordable, I am not exaggerating. We paid about $5.00 and change for a 24 oz pot of ginger honey tea, which was delicious. The tea set it was served in was gorgeous, and came with a tiny spoon for stirring. The owner was very sweet and charming, which added to the color and ambiance of this place. While we didn't sample any of her delicious looking baked goods and food, we made a promise to go back for a taste. If the food is anything like the tea, I can't wait to try them. read more

Today my daughter and I went to the Painted Tree specifically to eat at The Steeped Leaf. We are so glad we did! Tammy was patient with us when we asked several questions about the different teas. She has an extensive choice of teas and the tea she recommended, Jin Jun Mei, was excellent. We had the Prosciutto & Fontina w/ hummus & veggies, Turkey & Brie w/ Tomato Basil soup and Lemon Bar. Everything was delicious and presented well (forgot to take pictures). Tammy was so sweet and attentive. The restaurant is cozy and quiet. We cannot wait to return. read more

The lady who took my order was really nice, she explained to me what type of scones they offered and had available. When I first came in she was cleaning the floors so I assume the employees keep the place really clean. I believe they had music too which brought some comfort while eating my scones. And the scones were really good!! My favorite was the white chocolate raspberry scone. I'll be definitely be coming back here. read more
