    Our pot of tea
    Sabrina L.

Be aware that The Steeped Leaf is inside this incredible mall (look at my photo). Our gps said we were there but all we saw was the mall. My daughter spoted the logo on the outside window. You want to stop here and enjoy some tea and their food. The owner was super sweet and we love that you feel like you are in your own space. We enjoyed a big pot of tea for less than $9. Their sandwiches were amazing. My daughter took a photo of hers. It was my daughter's birthday and she was so happy she picked this place for lunch. Also fun was walking around this mall.

I love this tea lounge, it's inside the painted tree. I usually order as soon as I get there and walk around, depending on how many people, it can be a little wait but I don't mind since it gives me time to walk the first half of the store. Great place to have a girls day.

I love this little gem inside of Painted Tree! It's such a cozy atmosphere for lunch & their teas are beyond amazing! This is one of the places that has the largest variety I've seen of tea. It's always amazing service & the owner is a true tea lover! The food is yummy and healthy. I'm so happy I found this place. The matcha is high quality & the food is flavorful!

This was a great stop to eat lunch at. And it was in the middle of a shopping mall. Super nice service and great tea and food.

Today my daughter and I went to the Painted Tree specifically to eat at The Steeped Leaf. We are so glad we did! Tammy was patient with us when we asked several questions about the different teas. She has an extensive choice of teas and the tea she recommended, Jin Jun Mei, was excellent. We had the Prosciutto & Fontina w/ hummus & veggies, Turkey & Brie w/ Tomato Basil soup and Lemon Bar. Everything was delicious and presented well (forgot to take pictures). Tammy was so sweet and attentive. The restaurant is cozy and quiet. We cannot wait to return.

This week was one for discoveries. Our first discovery was Painted Tree Boutique, which was a good shopping experience, but inside we found our second and favorite discovery, The Steeped Leaf. This little spot is surrounded by shopping booths and nicely decorated locales. What makes The Steeped Leaf unique is that it is a tea lunch spot. Beautified with gorgeous chairs and comfortable looking tables, it is ideal for a stop and drink, or eat, as you will. We were curious and asked about their teas, and were given an impressive menu with many tea selections. Their teas are served by the pot and when I tell you they are incredibly affordable, I am not exaggerating. We paid about $5.00 and change for a 24 oz pot of ginger honey tea, which was delicious. The tea set it was served in was gorgeous, and came with a tiny spoon for stirring. The owner was very sweet and charming, which added to the color and ambiance of this place. While we didn't sample any of her delicious looking baked goods and food, we made a promise to go back for a taste. If the food is anything like the tea, I can't wait to try them.

    So many choices of teas!

Just had a light lunch and tea at this adorable shop inside the Painted tree boutique. The ladies running the business were so kind and attentive. Food and drinks were made quickly and according to special requests. I can't wait to come back with friends to visit in between shopping!

The lady who took my order was really nice, she explained to me what type of scones they offered and had available. When I first came in she was cleaning the floors so I assume the employees keep the place really clean. I believe they had music too which brought some comfort while eating my scones. And the scones were really good!! My favorite was the white chocolate raspberry scone. I'll be definitely be coming back here.

You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring out the food to you. I Ordered the Brazilian steak & guava and goat cheese cheesesteak. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. It had a mild goat cheese flavor. The cheesecake itself was nice and fluffy. Overall, would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner.

It's the kind of place folks drift into and, before long, start calling their own. It's been shaped with care, like a well-tuned string on a guitarra, each choice meant to stand on its own but better still when taken together. So, when co-workers wanted to go yesterday, I jumped on it. Don't get me wrong. I love the vibe of this place. I LOVE their story. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.
