Great hot dogs. My wife and I always stop at the "Squeeze-in" when we visit family and friends in the area. They make the BESTSELLING hotdogs in town. I always get two Ruben Dogs, a cup of baked butter beans and a cold chocolate milk. My wife enjoys a sweet chili dog with mustard, a cup of baked butter beans butter beans and a chocolate milk. We highly recommend this food. Be aware that there is always a line, but worth the wait, for some delicious hotdogs. Very popular with the locals. Lets start with location, it's a great location, easy street parking Food, I ordered a chili cheese dog and couldn't believe it when the put american cheese on a hot dog, yuck. The chili that I got was hot, absolutely enjoyed that. First time someone said their chili was hot and held their word. The hot dog was a little rubbery so I could have opted for a more well done dog. What turned me all the way off from ever coming here again was the unwelcoming lady with no teeth in her mouth. She had the worst attitude in the world and rolled her eyes the whole time while us and another friendly guest was there. She did not greet us when we came in, we were under the impression that you were supposed to order at the window that's right in front of her face. She never looked at us to say '"one moment" or "come on inside to order" she just stared us awkwardly through the window. I'm not sure that we will ever come back. A surprisingly delicious secret of Sunbury! I remember was waiting in line for another popular eatery in Sunbury when the owner approached me and we had a very fun conversation. He then told me to stop by his small hotdog place later if I had time, and I agreed. Just like the name, the place was quite small, but very cozy. I am usually not a big hot dog person, but the hot dog is, in fact, amazing and perhaps one of the best hot dogs I have had recently. The sauce is fantastic and the dog is at the right texture. I loved this sweet little place. Service was super quick. There were a couple local, regulars in there who warned me the spicy chili was very spicy, so I got a mix of sweet and spicy. I get daily emails from a site called "Only in Your State" and when I read about the Isle of Que, a town on the Susquehanna River, I was immediately enamored so while everyone else headed to the beach for Memorial Day, hubby, our golden and myself headed to PA. After checking out the town we went to the Squeeze In for lunch. Let me tell ya, there has never been a more appropriately named restaurant, in order to sit at the counter you literally have to squeeze past the stools and any patrons already sitting down. We had our dog with us so hubby grabbed one of the tables outside and I went in to order, 2 regular chili dogs for hubby, 1 spicy and 1 regular for me, a bag of Middleswarth Chips and a Big Ben Blue Birch Beer (I like to try the local favorites whenever possible and those chips and the drink aren't available in MD). The hot dogs were some of the best I have ever had and I had hubby driving to all the local grocery stores buy more chips. While we were enjoying our lunch a young couple with the cutest little boy struck up a conversation with us, telling us about all the awesome local parks and attractions we should check out while in the area and the little boy even gave our dog a hot dog shaped dog biscuit. Turns out they own the place, they spent a good 20 minutes sharing info and just chatting with us, truly an awesome family. Hubby and I came back 1 more time for dinner while in town and this time we got the baked beans too and oh my lord, they were the most amazing side dish ever, they use butter beans in a homemade sauce that is quite frankly, heavenly. Thanks to our visit hubby and I checked out several of the spots suggested and had an absolutely great mini vacation. Looking forward to going back next year and making it a tradition. read more

I grew up in Sunbury PA and until I moved away in 2007, I took this gem called The Squeeze In for granted. You cannot find a better hot dog anywhere in the US; trust me, I've traveled all over as a military construction contractor. The hot dogs are my first stop when I return for holidays and sometimes multiple meals when I'm there. My go to is a hot dog with ketchup and diced raw onions, Middleswarth BBQ chips and a chocolate milk. It's the most comfortable comfort food ever and turns this 40-something man into a 4 yr old kid again with the smells, sounds, tastes and feels of the early 80's rushing through my body. The Squeeze-In is a unique Sunbury establishment that specializes in a variety of hot dogs. I ordered their special hotdog called "The Squeeze Dog" which comes loaded with a ton of different toppings such as two different kinds of chili, sauerkraut, relish, and others. I took my order to go which they boxed nicely. Now the only problem I had were the buns themselves. They had become so soggy that I resorted to eating only the hotdogs with a provided fork. I also didn't think it was a good idea to set the messy soggy hotdogs on the napkins. I feared I was going to get soggy napkin mixed with my food. Just not the greatest presentation honestly and I would definitely recommend getting a bun that won't go soggy as fast/easily. This may be a 4 Star review if you get a plain dog or something that isn't so messy. Either way, a nice place with good tasting food. A charm within the city of Sunbury. read more
