I'm so glad Playa Bowls came to town! A few locations too. The Georgetown one was hard to find…read moretrying to following Maps. It's around the corner from where it told me to go, by the glasses place I think. Wolf Ranch is so busy all the time, but Playa Bowls is worth the ridiculous parking lot madness. I tried the mango base the first time I went and the coconut base the second time. I much preferred the mango base. The coconut one seemed like it would go with more of the ingredients but it felt like eating sorbet or something less healthy seeming than the mango base. My bowl was made within 5 minutes probably. It's a quick, relatively healthy snack. Not a meal. Also a nice healthier treat option rather than ice cream.

Georgetown Tx~ First off, let me start by saying I am so mad…read moreat myself for not taking any pictures! I'm usually the first one to take pictures of our food. Missed opportunity. Now onto the review~ The bowls are absolutely delicious! There are sooooo many bases to choose from, it's almost too difficult to make a decision. We had the CoCo Power bowl with a coconut base, and a Nutaya bowl, but subbed the Nutella for almond butter. I also had 2 different bases, coconut, and banana. Both of which were delicious! All of their bases are gluten & dairy free so a huge plus for someone with food allergies. You can also request the gluten-free granola. The ingredients are super fresh and your bowl is made to order. They definitely encourage substitutions. The girls are extremely knowledgeable about each bowl and are happy to give suggestions. We met the manager and she was awesome as well. I have a couple of observations~ Since the bowls are really BIG, it would be great to have two different sizes. Also, the condiments, like cocoa nibs, almond butter, coconut flakes (etc) are pretty sparse. (Fruit was plentiful) It would be nice to have a bit more of those included. I found myself with a lot of base and not a lot of the other goodies. Other than that, this place ROCKED!! I'm looking forward to going back to Orlando and trying our Playa Bowls shop.

This review has been overdue. Last month, after an early valentine's lunch, my aunt and uncle went…read moreoff in search of aguas frescas and mangonadas nearby while my cousin and I hunted for a dessert spot that was a little different. that spontaneous search led us to Just Smash'em--and it turned out to be a sweet find. The concept is simple but appealing: fun, unique combinations of sweet treats that lean slightly toward the lighter side. Think açaí bowls, waffles, and snackable options that could easily double as breakfast or a light meal. I ordered the Berry Good Bowl with açaí, oat milk, strawberries, blueberries, banana, pineapple, granola, almonds, and Nutella. In hindsight I could've skipped the banana and granola, but it was still delicious. The fruit tasted fresh, the sweetness was balanced, and the açaí base held up surprisingly well on the drive home. My cousin went for the Belgian waffle with banana and Nutella--the waffle he has been searching for in the first place--and it did night disappoint. Service was warm and patient while we navigated the menu, and we even got to chat briefly with David, the young lady went. He shared that the business started as a food truck before growing into this standalone shop. The nice young ladies at the counter even offered us to take a flower from their vase of pink carnations for the Valentines. It's a cozy spot with a welcoming I've, even with yea small arts-and-crafts area for kids that makes it feel like a neighborhood hangout. A fun kitty dessert stop when you're craving something sweet but a bit different. We'll definitely be back to try more.
