Great little coffee shop that I try and stop in every year when I'm in the area. Service is polite and friendly. My mocha and cherry danish were good. It was a cold, damp, and grey day. Review Visit: March 27th, 2018 Does The Spot Coffee hit the spot? The Spot Coffee started out as a mobile coffee truck, making rounds here and there, delivering caffeine to the residents of local central Illinois since 2016. Due to a growing fan base, they set up shop and opened in February 2018. On a dreary week day, my friend and I rolled in during lunch time to a fairly packed place. We were greeted promptly by a nice staff that took our orders and served up our drinks quickly. I ordered a hot Salted Caramel Latte and my friend ordered a cold Banana Bread Latte. This is the first time I've ever seen Salted Caramel offered and I must say, it was delightful. I'll need more if it in my life. My friend let me try her drink and it was also pretty good. The interior of The Spot Coffee is fairly small, so if you have a large party, plan ahead. If it is just you and a friend or two, they can accommodate you no problem. For being small, it didn't feel claustrophobic and it felt like it had a nice level of coziness to it. I give props to whoever designed the inside for doing great. They even have a spot to sit at and look out the windows while you sip a coffee on a cold and dreary day. A few other things offered here is a back room for kids. While my friend had her son with her, we didn't utilize it due to it being full. There is also a drive-thru if you are in a rush and you need that caffeine fix to go go go! They also have a small baked goods section. I didn't get anything this time but I will definitely try a cookie on my next visit. Other than that, there isn't much else to say about this lovely place. My absolute favorite coffee shop! Everyone is incredibly sweet and helpful. Wish they were open on Sundays so I could get it every day. I'm gluten free and they have scone options for me as well which is not easy to find. I usually go through the drive through but when I do happen to go inside the shop it is always a peaceful and sweet experience. read more

Stopped in today for the first time. Great service, and a great tasting latte. Tried their salted caramel syrup. Not overly sweet and the milk was steamed to velvety perfection. When spending the day with my dad, we were looking for a little place to sit and catch up. He is an avid coffee drinker so I looked on Yelp for a local business to try. This place was the perfect choice! There is both outdoor and indoor seating available, but it was a hot Fall day so we opted for the air conditioned interior. We were able to sit in peace, enjoy our delicious coffees, and share conversation. My dad is SUPER particular about his coffee and he greatly enjoyed a cup of their regular drip coffee. I opted for a cold brew with heavy cream and it was probably THE BEST cold brew I have ever had! It was so rich and creamy with no bitter aftertaste. The pumpkin pecan scone I ordered on the side was dense, rich, and flavorful. You can tell they put a lot of love and pride into their business. The owner even came over to say hi and tell us about the coffees we ordered. She was genuinely warm and caring, almost like she was welcoming us to her home. We got a lavender iced latte with vanilla cold foam, the all nighter, and salted caramel latte. The all nighter was maybe not my favorite, but wasn't bad- it just had a weird texture. But the lavender iced latte and salted caramel latte were 5 stars for sure. The shop is so cute and the service was so good. The workers were so, so kind and were very quick. The coffees beans always taste horrible. We've tried them off and on for years and it's consistently bad.

This is a great place, in a super convenient location. I had lavender latte and some oatmeal. It was all delicious. The store is warm and well laid-out, with nice big windows to let in the sun. The person working was incredibly friendly and professional. He kept his cool and didn't seem stressed out by the line of people, but it wasn't fair to have him taking complicated breakfast orders and trying to make drinks too.  As a result, it took forever to get my drink. read more

Came across this place a few years back when I tried their coffee truck at the autumn French market in town. Definitely am in love with their lavender latte. I guess I'm dubbed "the lavender girl" lol. I recently was in town and tried their pumpkin spice latte with oatmilk and loved it, by far beats Starbucks and is the perfect amount of sweetness and coziness for fall. Nice little coffee shop located on the North side of Peoria. Gf chose cold brew iced and I needed coffee beans. Only had two choices, one a Columbian offering (darker roast) and a tasty Costa Rican blend which i've been brewing at home via French Press the last few days....it's a lighter roast, good for Spring/Summer so right on time. They get their beans from local CxT just down the road on Rt 40...would like a bit more variety but that may just be a reflection on how few whole bean coffee they sell? Love The Spot! My favorite is the lavender latte (extra flavor/syrup, iced, with almond milk).... SOOO good! I recently also tried the scones (made by four30 scones) it was the espresso flavor (had chocolate chips in it too... DROOL) - the BEST scone I've ever had (also tried the lemon poppy seed scone which was also delicious)! I love how they have a drive through too, which is obviously super convenient. The inside is nicely decorated and relaxing. The staff is amazing and so sweet! Every time I have visitors from out of town I always bring them here and they always love it! I'd like to check this place during my trip to Peoria because I've seen a lot of good reviews of this place at yelp. I've had a chance to be there on Sunday morning. All the interior looks so nice. It was a fairly long wait for my order - the ice Americano even though only one customer waiting for the coffee. (I know they also have drive-thru.) I accidentally found out one of the staff was discussed with the other staff how to make ice Americano. This makes me so nervous and it turns the coffee was too diluted. If I have a chance to try this place, I'd like to try one more time. Maybe weekday, not a weekend. read more
