I have been a Spice House fan for many years, and I completely understand how using fresh quality spices can certainly up your game in the kitchen! While I miss their old business model of being able to purchase very small amounts of spices, I must admit that I am quite impressed with the newer packaging and branding. The Spice House is certainly a premium spice brand, but their quality shines in any dish you make! They have always been known for their amazing blends. I love the idea of their "exact pack". It contains all the spices you need for a particular recipe and even gives you a shopping list on the zack for items you may need at the grocery store (meat, onion, veggies, etc). Kelly, the manager of this location, is a true asset to this business! Not only is she knowledgeable about the brand and their products, but she's extremely friendly and outgoing....exactly the traits that more businesses need these days! Do not pass this place up!!!! They have quality products to take your cooking and baking to the next level and outstanding customer service! Support local and check this place out!

Only place to buy spices! Whenever I am near Chicagoland, I have to stock up on my fresh spices.

In addition to spices and spice blends, they also have soup mixes and "Exact Packs" (spice packs with recipes to make a specific dish).

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about all of their products, and can give you quite a few hints as to what to use each thing for, and they're great about finding exactly what you need even if you weren't sure what it was at first. We've gone in there wanting to get a tea, for this mood, or feeling this way, or just to experiment with a new flavor and after just a couple of simple questions they had several suggestions, and you can sample some of the oils, teas, etc.. They do have a few places to sit if you want to have a nice small pot of hot tea while you work. We've made this a minimum of once or twice a week visit, and suggest the same for anyone wanting quality tea, seasonings, essential oils, etc.

They have fresh produce as well as a meat shop and a decent selection of Middle Eastern and Asian groceries. They hade a good selection of the Turkish delights that looked fresh and home made, We got a whole bunch of different flavors and they were all very good. The customer service could have been better. The lady behind the counter didn't seem too happy to see us but maybe she was just having a bad day. Overall, we got what we wanted and it tasted good. Kiddos were happy so, we were happy.

They also have a large variety of products in cans, jars, and packages - olives, nuts, grains, spices, stuffed grape leaves, etc. But my favorite is the excellent selection of flatbreads. This time I got a two-pack of huge (about 18 inches by 12 inches) poofy ones called taboons - $5 for the two of them and each weighed about a pound. They're very good plain, with olive oil and maybe a bit of flaky sea salt and/or rosemary, with butter, or in sandwiches and pizzas. The listed ingredients are flour, water, milk, sugar, salt, and yeast - no junk and they taste neither sweet nor salty. Plus, if you've not been here, it will be a fun place to explore.
