This shop, home to many varietals of olive oil, vinegar and other gourmet goodies, shares space with Dark Horse Pastries, so you also have your choice of baked goods. They also sell a small array of wine and beer, and products from other local companies such as chocolates and honey (creamed raw raspberry honey, anyone? Sounds good to me!) You can taste all the varieties of oil and vinegar. Like it spicy? Pick from habanero, jalapeno or red pepper oil! Want fruit flavor? How about Mexican Lime, Meyer Lemon or Blood Orange? The balsamic vinegar came in an array of interesting flavors, including Dark Chocolate, which I think would pair well with strawberries! I liked that there were larger and smaller sized bottles to choose from (small size was 5 oz). They also sell a modest range of dip mixes, mustard, pesto, pasta, and assorted other treats. The addition of the bakery in the same building makes this shop a little different from some of the other gourmet places around here (note that there are several other places in downtown Naperville that specialize in this type of product). It's slightly hard to find (go down the alley between Potbelly and the yellow house building and it's in the courtyard behind), but worth looking for! Staff was friendly but not pushy, and quite "on" for early morning! :) Note to credit card users: if you spend less than $5, an extra 50¢ charge is added.

I've since visited this store twice - once when they first opened and once a few weeks ago. Their selection of balsamic vinegars in different flavors are fresh and unique for the area. I really like that they have spicy oils too, which are my favorite! They have testers with bread of each product so you can test your favorite before purchasing! The location was easy to find and there is even a kabob/pita restaurants next door. Not sure if they are related or not Inside is very nice small market. They have a lot of imported items, frozen items, and a fridge in the back. I got some fresh pitas, frozen gyro meat, hummus, baklava and marinated green olives. Prices were reasonable The staff was friendly and I even got to try a fresh pita. You can see them making fresh pita behind the glass window. In fact, most of this place was the pita machine. The hummus is delicious with hot of spiciness. It tastes fresh and lacks that citric acid from store bought. The tzatziki sauce was delicious. Baklava was yummy. Overall, I will be back in the future.

Both fresh and frozen traditional bread (house-made); a halal butcher shop; and various types of canned and frozen food / spices/etc.; apparently fresh takeaway food (I didn't inquire); gifts; candies; various cheeses (Armenian string cheese!) and even a bulk section. Multiple options for most things (e.g. 4 kinds of pomegranate molasses); most items but not all labeled with a price. We have been back to Casey's maybe 150 plus times since then and have had only good experiences. I will say it again... the butcher is the best. And all the staff are friendly. Good quality stuff. Nice people. And the moral of the story is if you see a bad review look how old it is before you judge..... someone could have forgotten about it. Go to Casey's. Buy some meat. You will be happy.
