If you're a foodie and an early bird, this is a good stop in downtown Naperville; they open daily…read moreat 8 am, even Sundays! This shop, home to many varietals of olive oil, vinegar and other gourmet goodies, shares space with Dark Horse Pastries, so you also have your choice of baked goods. They also sell a small array of wine and beer, and products from other local companies such as chocolates and honey (creamed raw raspberry honey, anyone? Sounds good to me!) You can taste all the varieties of oil and vinegar. Like it spicy? Pick from habanero, jalapeno or red pepper oil! Want fruit flavor? How about Mexican Lime, Meyer Lemon or Blood Orange? The balsamic vinegar came in an array of interesting flavors, including Dark Chocolate, which I think would pair well with strawberries! I liked that there were larger and smaller sized bottles to choose from (small size was 5 oz). They also sell a modest range of dip mixes, mustard, pesto, pasta, and assorted other treats. The addition of the bakery in the same building makes this shop a little different from some of the other gourmet places around here (note that there are several other places in downtown Naperville that specialize in this type of product). It's slightly hard to find (go down the alley between Potbelly and the yellow house building and it's in the courtyard behind), but worth looking for! Staff was friendly but not pushy, and quite "on" for early morning! :) Note to credit card users: if you spend less than $5, an extra 50¢ charge is added.

I've since visited this store twice - once when they first opened and once a few weeks ago. Their selection of balsamic vinegars in different flavors are fresh and unique for the area. I really like that they have spicy oils too, which are my favorite! They have testers with bread of each product so you can test your favorite before purchasing! I don't find their prices too be that expensive either! I would definitely recommend supporting this local business downtown if you're in need of some fresh oils or vinegars!

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about all of their products, and can give you quite a few hints as to what to use each thing for, and they're great about finding exactly what you need even if you weren't sure what it was at first. We've gone in there wanting to get a tea, for this mood, or feeling this way, or just to experiment with a new flavor and after just a couple of simple questions they had several suggestions, and you can sample some of the oils, teas, etc.. They do have a few places to sit if you want to have a nice small pot of hot tea while you work. We've made this a minimum of once or twice a week visit, and suggest the same for anyone wanting quality tea, seasonings, essential oils, etc.

The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, sharing recommendations for different flavor combinations between olive oils and balsamic vinegar. I would highly recommend The Tea Tree for all of your tea, vinegar and olive oil needs and chill vibes.

Let me start by saying that I have never left a review before, but felt the need to hype this place…read moreup. Walking in, the ambiance and decor left such a wonderful impression. My friend and I got the ricotta fritters and stuffed mushrooms, and we loved both. The Pom soda was sooooo good, and my Italian Smashburger was one of the best smashburgers I've ever had. The soda bread as a bun was amazing, and the sauce on it was addictive. I didn't walk in expecting to order a burger, but I'm so glad that I did! The service was so nice, and I feel bad that I can't remember the name of the girl working on Tuesday night, as well as the guy who was at the front of house. They were both friendly, and I'd give them compliments by name if I could. :) I'm looking forward to going back soon!

Oh boy. We got sodas. Those were good…read more We ordered "soda bread" which was not soda bread-it was focaccia bread. It was suppose to have cheeses and such in it. The waiter said it was called that because of the name of the restaurant. Uhhh-soda bread and focaccia bread are two totally different breads. It's about expectations. Then, we ordered butter because the bread was plain-the butter tasted like chapstick. So waxy! Odd. Secret meatballs. The meatballs tasted like meatloaf (I like meatloaf). Nothing special there. But, the sauce was delicious! Best part of the meal. Pasta Carbonara-yuck. So greasy. Stay away from that. ($25) Four cheese ravioli-you could get the same thing with a grocery store jar of vodka sauce and frozen ravioli. Again, don't!. The Limoncello. Huh. On the verge of too dry. Not very much lemon flavor. I would have swirled some lemon curd on the plate to drag a bite through. Maybe some fresh lemon zest on top. Highlight the meatball sauce. That's it. Cute restaurant.
