It's my first time here in Pepper Palace. I was just walking around the mall when I found this place. They have a nice set up on their selection. It's full of products and it is organized well. They got a different variety of spices and other seasonings. I just entered this place cause I want to buy their products and also to give it to my wife. She's Korean so she loves spicy food. I don't know what kinds of spices I should buy. So some staff assisted me and helped me with anything. He's so kind in telling me what I should buy and what is the best on their spices. He's also actively answering all of my questions. I bought different kinds of spices. When I went home I gave it to my wife and she's so happy. She even kisses me on the cheeks. So I highly recommend this place to people who love spicy seasoning in their food.

I am most assuredly an aficionado of all things scorching hot to the palate. I probably have a good 20-30 bottles of various sauces, extracts, salsas, etc at my house at any given time. Some are from the "big boys" like Blair's or Dave's Gourmet, and others are from producers that are so niche that they contain nothing but markings from a black sharpie on the cap. I stumbled onto this place by pure chance when I was at Woodfield on another errand and ended up dropping 100 bucks in no time outfitting myself with some new items. It would be difficult for any random store to show up in front of me where an impulse buy was more likely. Naturally sauces and extracts are a primary part of the business here, but they also have various fiery condiments, rubs, salsas, jellies, powders, flakes, etc. If you are like myself and also a fan of all things hot food, you will feel like an 8 year old on Xmas morning stumbling into this place. The store also has a "bar" set up for you to try the various products before you buy. This worked out in splendid fashion for me since they happened to carry lots of brands I was not previously familiar with, as well as their own house blends. I spent a good 20-30 min just trying out various sauces and salsas. Also helpful was the fact that both employees there at the time were not just clerks by any means. They clearly knew their stuff (which I can tell from a convo with a person in 5 min or less) and made some excellent recommendations. I could of spent far longer here if I would of had the time to kill. Prices here are a tad on the steep side to be honest, which is fairly standard practice at nearly all store at Woodfield, but the selection, staff knowledge, and tasting bar makes this a must visit for other chiliheads. They also have various gift sets for people looking to buy a present for someone in their life with a passion for hot food. I'll be back next time I am at Woodfield no question.

I've been here twice now, once with my son and once with my daughter. Today was Daddy-Daughter day and we needed to go to a few places at Woodfield. On her suggestion we stopped by Pepper Palace. Pepper Palace is a Mecca for those who like things hot. From hot sauces to barbeque sauces to mustards to chocolates with peppers, they have whatever you need to satisfy your craving for heat. They have many samples out - we tried various things. Here is where I need to talk about the service - a young man greeted us when we entered and immediately started to ask questions about what we liked. He steered us to various items. Before I knew it, I had a salsa and a mustard in hand ready to check out. What a salesman - not meant in a derogatory way at all. He was very attentive to our needs, but I did have to say stop at some point or I'm afraid I would have bought one of everything in the store.

My son broke a bottle of salsa and they insisted we pay for it and charged us full price. I would pay their cost but given this will never purchase anything from them.

I was so excited to find a Pepper Palace in the burbs. I first discovered this wonderful piece of heaven down in New Orleans. Not long after, I learned about a location in Chicago but I'm rarely in the city. Finally, Pepper Palace came to Woodfield and I knew there was no excuse not to go. Pepper Palace has everything for everyone; from BBQ sauces to pickles, spices to hot pepper cotton candy (yep, you heard me); ranging from the mildest sauces to the "holy hell what the f**k did I just eat?" blistering hot sauces. They have many different sauces on display for you to sample, and I have no shame admitting that I tasted over twenty of them. The prices are reasonable but for some it may be sticker shock. But listen- you're not at Jewel or Mariano's picking up a bottle of Cholula (but they do have several varieties here) for a couple of bucks. There are tons and tons and TONS of hot sauces here made with exotic peppers like the Bhut Jolokia and Trinidad Moruga Scorpion peppers. Yeah, not stuff you'll find at your local grocery store. If you're like me and enjoy a fiery explosion with your meals (or no reason at all), you've definitely got to check this place out. Even if you don't care for spicy sauces, reading the names of some of the sauces ("Megasoreass", "Butt Twister", "Hemorrhoid Helper") are reason enough to check this store out.

The Pepper Palace is a great stop for any hot sauce enthusiast. This store boasts a large selection of hot sauces, everything from common named producers like Tabasco to specialty sauces. They have tastings for some of their more popular sauce selections so you can get a little taste of what they offer. While most of what they offer is hot sauce blends they also have salsa, dry rub and barbecue sauce. I spoke to the man running the store and he stated that the Pepper Palace has been in business for over 20 years and privately produces more than eighty percent of the brands on selection. Overall if your a hot and spicy junkie I would recommend giving this store a run through. The only thing that kept the store from a higher score was that most of their sauces seemed a little high on the price tag.

I never heard of this place. It's by JC Penney and it must be a new spot in woodfield mall. They have a lot of sauces and marinades and seasoning. They also have a small sample section too to sample.

Great place. Lots of options. I needed help finding a specific flavor, and Cameron helped me the entire time. She made it real easy for me.

The reason I did is because I find that no matter what day or what time I come here luckily despite the very small constructed parking lot, I always find parking number two and another reason I really like this place is that I do my Amazon returns here and every time I show up here the line if there is one really moves quickly. Lastly, I really like this place because they're always stocked. It seems like to me at least and every time I come looking for something they always have exactly what I'm looking for regardless of whether it's fresh fish the specific scones I like from the bakery or trying to get some type of new organic gum mints. I will call out the reason that they are four-star is because they continually understaffed their checkout lanes, forcing us customer who already paying overpriced items to become temporary employees of Amazon and check ourselves out as well. I do not like self checkout, remove the self checkout.

However, they no longer offer vegan blueberry or vegan chocolate chip cupcakes. My husband loved their house made sourdough garlic bread, and I was sad to come home empty-handed. He was excited for it. While some are celebrating "Veganuary," I am making an attempt to go gluten-free in order to empathize with those with Celiac Disease. Very doubtful that I can do it. I did ask at the bakery about their vegan fresh pizza cheese, and the nice young man at the counter showed me what they use, and I took the photo posted below. There are MUCH better options for vegan cheese than what they offer. I would rather just go cheeseless on my pizza with lots of veggies. I have no reason to return unless I am in the area for an Amazon return.

On our first visit, we had the orange chicken xiao long bao, sichuan wonton, kwetiaw with chicken (asked for spicy) and hongkong mee with chicken. On our second visit, we had the orange chicken xiao long bao, sichuan wonton and two kwetiaw with chicken (spicy again). We had to have the our own kwetiaw because we loved it so much. The wide noodles (looove wide noodles) are perfectly cooked and the savory sauce coats the noodles and chicken just enough to make it balanced and delicious. All the dishes we had were wonderful.
