After my facial we discussed the issues i had with my skin and he gave me very helpful information on how to improve my skin, I would recommend this service to everyone ! I went to The Spa a couple weeks ago because it was close to my house and didnt know of another place to get my nails done until now. They were very unprofessional. When the girl sat me down to do a mani/pedi, I soon realized that she didnt have a nail license. She had gone to cosmetology school but you only learn the basics. IT TOOK FOREVER! When it came time for her to give me a hand massage, her hands were so incredibly dry that she soaked up all the lotion that she put on me so it was more of an uncomfortable exfoliation! When it came time for the pedicure she sat me in this chair that wouldnt stop moving. WHy would they still have this in the salon if it was broken? I couldnt relax. Also, she kept having to borrow tools from the other girls. It was the worst and longest service I've had. I do not recommend this place and I will not go back. I now go to Queen nails. My wife and I had a massage, facial, mani and pedi (just her on mani/pedi). The facility is not setup very well and kind of dirty. The gentleman at the front desk (Andy maybe) was not very friendly. He gave us a quick tour of the place which is pretty simple. Still not quite sure what the deal is in the back room with the two mattresses on the floor. We waited in their holding area that is not quiet. They are constantly parading "tours" through and leave the door open so you hear everyone talking so it is hard to get into a relax mode. I will say thought, with a little work it could be a really good place. The massage was not good at all. The rooms are not quiet, you can hear all the employees/guests talking outside the door. The therapists are very inexperienced and are not worth the price they are getting. It was basically a back rub with about 10 minutes of leg work. Maybe we got the inexperienced ones, either way, total disappointment and they actually made my neck hurt badly. The facial was excellent. Very thorough, and the arm and feet massages were amazing. Her technique was great and totally relaxed me. Highly recommend the dermalogica facial. My face has never been better. That was well worth the money. The mani/pedi for my wife was good as well. I would suggest that they give you the bottle of polish when it is done. It is a small thing but that is something that every spa we have ever been to and was a disappointment for my wife when they didn't. All in all it is an OK place. Don't go in there expecting a Woodhouse Spa or Ritz Carlton or any other high end spa experience you will be disappointed. Save your money on the massage, skip straight to the facial and mani/pedi. I'm not normally a suspicious person but the online reviews for this place really weirded me out. Did I go to the same place as these other reviewers? 5 stars? I waited a half hour past my appointment time in the waiting room and finally someone showed up to take me on a tour of the facility. Huh? Then I got to go sit in a different waiting room called the relaxation room. Just odd. The folks working there seemed stressed out. The sales pitch to join their club seemed desperate. If you run a quality joint and offer great service, offer a tour or a card with info about joining your club. On my way out. Mani/pedi quality wasn't good (streaked, over the cuticle line and just uneven in general) but it still wasn't as bad as the vibe. Equipment is super old. Let me start with the pluses - they were open and available; as you enter they greet you and offer you something to drink and give you a tour. However, the minuses far exceed the pluses. I am a New York and by far not a snub, but, if I pay $100 for a massage, by golly, please give me a massage not a drenching in oil. Here's the scoop! it was a couples' massage - my husband and I. We went to the room and the masseuses were having difficulty lower the beds - about 10 minutes the least. That said and done, we were drenched with oil - the masseuse doing my massage literally was rubbing the oil and there were no patterns to her movement (I've done many, many massages before). This far exceeds the worst I've ever had. I believe that since they knew we were from out of town, so they didn't do their best. After we were done - NOT A COMPLETE HOUR, it was more like 45 minutes, we went to pay for our services and the owner did not even ask for our comments. Then, we ask to leave the the masseuses tips ($20 each) and he said that he will put it in their envelopes and give it to them. I stopped into your Spa on Sunday for a pedicure, unfortunately there was not an opening available- I made an appointment before leaving for today at 6:45. When I arrived at my office this morning I was informed we have a meeting at 5:30 to accommodate our other office located in Las Vegas (time difference). Considering I work next to Sea World and not knowing exactly what time our teleconference would end I called and cancelled my appointment this morning (as soon as I was notified) and according to your website before the spa opens at 10:00. The receptionist informed me that there was a 24 hour notice required- I asked if I could reschedule but she informed me there would still be a cancellation fee. I understand business rules; however I feel that since I called your location as soon as I found out my scheduled changed and before you even opened that there would not be a charge. After all it is not like I called at 3:00 in the afternoon. At the time I made the appointment or within the text message reminder nothing was mentioned of the fee, as if I knew there was a fee I would have contacted a friend to take my place. Being that this is my first contact/experience with your spa, I am highly disappointed. I was very excited about visiting your spa and was looking forward to using your services with my partner but now after this experience I will go elsewhere. Also, being a long time resident of College Park I will also share my disappointment with others. The services were very good and the staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. However, as part of a bachelorette event that was prepaid, they had booked over us when we had confirmed reservations several times. As a result, the staff was unable to accommodate our whole party of six. Several prepaid services were not received, and we had no time with our reserved cabana and jacuzzi since another party was using it. Our bride had to forgo that experience. Basically, half the experience was prepaid and unused. Overall organization from the management was disappointing confusing. I felt like I spent a significant amount of time not knowing what was going on and waiting. Again, amazing services, unfortunately would not repeat. I would've been giving a good review if it were not for my recent experience. I have been going to The Spa for about a year. During COVID, my account was frozen because they were closed. I went in about a month ago for the first time and was surprised when I checked in that a man (whom I was told was the owner) told me my recent transaction for the nail membership was declined. He said this very loudly where everyone could hear him in the front. I had 2 services: a polish change and a mani-pedi that had been paid for and covered my service. I told him this and he said I had just the mani-pedi left and said they needed to get a payment since the membership had been frozen only during the time they were closed. I told him I would use my already paid for services and then bring in a card. While waiting in the waiting room for my technician, he came in again asking me about payment. During my services he came again and another lady, Amy, came to discuss the same thing. It was my birthday week and I was in need of some TLC. I mentioned this to my nail technician and said this made me feel uncomfortable. Each time, someone told me my payment for future services was declined, and did so pretty loudly. After my appointment was done, I was asked about this again at checkout by the owner and Amy. She didn't know he had asked me about this a few times (obviously, the communication is not great). I explained I'd bring a card in and left. I was bothered after leaving and called and spoke with Amy about how I was embarrassed and felt harassed. I told her what the owner said and she laughed. Yes. She laughed. I said it wasn't funny but embarrassing and unprofessional to almost harass someone over a service not yet rendered. I asked for a call back from the owner and she said she'd have him call me. Well, a month later and no call. I sent an email briefly explaining this situation early this week because I hoped they'd try to rectify this and apologize so I could consider returning. No one has reached out so it seems they don't care about losing a customer. I will not be returning to this spa. It's sad, because Niajah is great with my nails and just so fun and delightful. She was fabulous, worked on my entire body but specially my neck, shoulders and arms and I felt renewed. The staff was friendly and attentive, we enjoyed the jacuzzi with a relaxing glass of wine. I got a one hour massage and a pedicure. The services were fine ... nothing spectacular but your basic run-of-the-mill treatments. I was fairly satisfied until I went to check out. I had a gift certificate that I had received as a gift from a friend, and a coupon to save on the aromatherapy massage. They would not honor the coupon, even though my friend had clearly paid full price for the gift certificate. Although my confirmation email for the special offer did not mention that you cannot use your certificate for payment, the manager would not honor it. (He pointed to a tiny disclaimer on the website claiming I should have seen it at the time of booking.) After several minutes of intense discussion, I left extremely frustrated and any "Zen" or relaxation I had experienced disappeared. The manager, Michael, tried to be overly, sickeningly sweet in his tone, however, it was clear he did not care about customer service as he did nothing to rectify or remedy the situation. I will not return, and would encourage others to seek spa treatments elsewhere. Fortunately, Orlando offers many options that are similar in price point, and in some cases less expensive, offering far superior experiences and service. read more

I was expecting a lot more. The girl who did my pedicure was very nice, but didn't give a good massage and my feet were still rough when i left. I was waiting in line to use the one dryer that they have. It was my turn and as I went to sit down, the other pedicure lady took it from my pedicure lady for her client and insisted that she needed it just for a couple of min. Very rude! I just left. The staff are amazing at what they do - I've gotten massages, waxes, and pedicures and have never had a bad experience or have someone who didn't know what they were doing 100%. Diamond, Mahogany, and Shaleithia are absolute gems! So lovely to talk to. I went here because I received a gift certificate for the place and wanted to use it for manicures. The place is clean, nice, simple decor. The manicure was about the same as what you would get anywhere else. No complaints there. They didn't have a very large selection of gel polish, which was disappointing, but they did a nice job. Here is the problem. They try to sell you HARD on their membership. My nail tech spent half of her time telling me to join, giving me all the calculations and telling me that as a mom, I deserve to be at the spa monthly, sipping on champagne in their hot tub. Yeah...I can only say "that's not my life" so many times. It got irritating and I was looking forward to the manicure being over. Since I was able to acquire childcare and have a few hours to myself, I really just wanted it to be enjoyable. Finally we were done and went to the front to take care of payment. The woman at the front desk then proceeded to try and sell me on their membership and convince me to put my whole gift certificate towards it. She went on and on. I was super uncomfortable and in the end was pretty short with them because I had enough. I did go back a second time because I had $50 left and needed a manicure before a trip. Thankfully, I had a quiet nail tech who didn't mention the membership more than once. The same front desk girl was there and she gasped when I said I wasn't a member (only 2 weeks later) and went into the sales pitch again. I told her to throw in free childcare and we would have a deal. Finally she stopped talking. Yes! So...the treatments here are fine, but be prepared to be hassled about as much as when on the beach in Mexico by someone trying to sell you trinkets and hair braids. It's annoying. read more

Had a facial done and couldn't relax because the aesthetician was talking so much. Ok, so I finally took them up on the owner's offer to give me a free service to try them out again (after a not so positive review that I posted). I think this is very nice. My car was supposed to be back from the shop before the day of my appointment, but it was not ready yet, so I got a ride to The Spa, and they were nice enough to give me a ride home. They really try, the problem is they lack attention to detail. The waiting room door keeps being opened and then it stays open, which was somewhat annoying (I know I am not explaining this well, but just trust me). They knew I am a yelper, I got there on time, even with the car issue and getting dropped off and all. And when I arrived, the room was still not ready for me, so they literally took another 10-15 minutes to "ready" the room for me. I expected it to be immaculate, but when I walked in, I saw a stain on the sheets, a quite noticeable one. If I were the owner I would have gone in that room before sending me back and checked every inch of the room to see that it was perfect. It was not. I did not say anything, no need, I know the sheets are straight out of the wash, but that doesn't change the fact that there still is a stain on them (but I knew they were washed, so I didn't want to be a pain), You can still hear all the commotion outside, people talking, getting their nails done, etc and the massage was only marginally better. I still won't go back, but I do appreciate them trying to win me back as a customer. I still say, probably an ok place to get a manicure, but this is NOT a true spa, and shouldn't be called one. read more

I've tried emailing The Spa to talk about my experience, but it seems that people get more of a response on Yelp than a personal email. My boyfriend and I came in 2 weeks ago for our very first massage together. I think the spa is such a beautiful place, every room just had a great energy and vibe to it, it made us feel very comfortable. The massage, however, was very strange to me. The young man who was working on me, didn't exactly seem like he knew what he was doing. Although it was my first massage, it just didn't feel right. He started out working on my back, which was great! But he didn't spend anytime working on my legs or lower body. In fact, for 3 straight songs (which I can only assume was roughly 15- 20 minutes) he played with my face. Lightly pinching my eyebrows, nose, cheeks and forehead. It felt very strange and awkward. I looked over to my boyfriend to see if he was getting the same treatment and he was getting his legs massaged. I understand that each therapist has their own techniques, but our massages were night and day. I have to admit I was a little disappointed and jealous of what my boyfriend got. My sister got me this massage as a gift, I wish she could get her money back. read more

Two stars... The aesthetician that I saw did an above average job on my facial. It wasn't the best facial nor was it bad. She deserves credit for not being too pushy with the products also. If it wasn't for the business practices of the spa itself I would have no complaints and my facial would have received the 3.75 rating it deserved. That being said... BUYER BEWARE! I went in the day before leaving for my destination wedding and upon rushing out the door to the million and one other things I had on my mind, the mutually distracted receptionist mentioned that I may as well sign up as a member since "the cost would be the same as the service I was paying for." Nothing else was said and I signed what I thought was my receipt (ignorantly without thoroughly reading) and headed out the door. The only benefit to this was discounted services until January and if i wanted to continue I would have to pay an additional $45 for the membership to continue being active. We moved to South Florida and so I obviously had no interest in regular services at The Spa. This was in October, since then I have been charged twice for a monthly subscription to a club I didn't intend to be a part of. I did not realize they would charge my card automatically and when asked for documentation they sent me a copy of a document that was not completely filled out, most importantly MY SIGNATURE verifying payment approval was blank. Someone had also filled in all of my address and card information which I am assuming came from my client contact card. When we originally spoke my request was that they not charge my card for the upcoming April-June membership. Is not paying for a service I don't intend to use too much to ask? Apparently so. I'm going to be frank, this feels like you are stealing from me. You are taking money without permission and without providing a service in return. Bad business! Shame... After my first horrible experience here, I was offered to go back and get a free gel mani (a cheaper manicure compared to the signature one I had shelled out for before) to make up for the awful one i'd gotten. I arrived about 5-10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment, checked in, and waited. And after about 20 minutes past my initial appointment start time, I went up to the front desk (and the girls sitting up there seemed like they had absolutely no desire to be there helping me at all) and asked how much longer they thought it would be since I'd be there waiting for about 25 minutes at this point. The girl who was scheduled to do my nails was no where in sight so they had another girl take me back. Miriam ended up doing my nails and she was absolutely AMAZING and did a fantastic job! But I'm sad to say considering my first experience and how much I paid, the untimeliness of my appt, switching nail techs on me, and rudeness of the front desk I will not be going back. read more

BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFO. I was at the Edgewater homecoming parade and received what looked like a gift certificate for a massage or nail service from a representative of The Spa College Park walking down the street. I'm not sure of the exact verbiage but it said something along the lines of "any one hour massage at $60 or any nail service at $35" and even had an expiration date of March 2017. I called the following Monday to ask about the expiration date and was told that it didn't matter. Nowhere on the certificate did it say for first time customers. I called to book my service and was asked for a credit card to hold my spot. I went in for my massage and gave the receptionist (very rude by the way) my "gift certificate" and was never given a receipt or anything to sign authorizing charges on my card (I tipped the massage therapist in cash). Fast forward to today and I noticed I was charged for the massage I received and when I called The Spa I was told I was merely handed a promotion for first time customers. This business has bait and switch written all over it. I am by no means someone who wants something for nothing and am willing to pay for services. However, in this circumstance I genuinely thought I received a gift certificate for a free massage and am very disappointed in the business practices of The Spa. The pleasantries are nice but as far as the level of professional skills and techniques for nail care for hands/feet is horrible. I would not recommend this location to anyone. It was my first time coming here and I would never return. The workers hired do not seem experienced at all. Although, they were all really nice, the services were of not good quality at all. To start, my manicure and pedicure were done so sloppy. Polish left on the sides of my skin and the entire nail not covered in polish. The pedicure sinks looked dirty and needing a good scrubbing. I was grossed out putting my feet in there. My last and biggest issue was with my massage. For one, it was like a rub down and not a massage. However, most concerning was the improper draping techniques used. Instead of only uncovering the section that was being massaged and always covering my undergarments, the man exposed one half of my body from shoulder to toes leaving my butt and underwear exposed for him to see. He might as well removed the entire blanket because that is how it felt. This was a very uncomfortable experience. I have gone to massages on a regular basis from many different places and I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. It was the most uncomfortable experience where I left there completely uneasy. I will NEVER return to this place again. read more

I called and made an appointment for a manicure today 4 hours prior to the appointment time. Extreme circumstances at a doctor appointment this afternoon made me unable to make my manicure appointment. I called while still at the doctor's office to inform The Spa, that unfortunately I would be unable to keep my appointment. The employee on the phone stated that they had already granted me a grace appointment and I would be charged for the service. When I asked when this grace appointment was given it was from 2.5 years ago. I think this is completely ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager and upon transfer was given a snarky attitude. When the manager came on the phone I explained that I was held up at a doctor's appointment and unfortunately could not make the appointment, I was retold about the grace appointment and that my only option was to come later, which was not an option for me. I then apologized for not being able to make it, and further explained that my reasoning for the doctor visit running late was a terrible traffic day (interstate closed) and that unfortunately made for a messy day. I explained that my doctor graciously took me later in the day knowing of the terrible traffic Central Florida had with I-4 shut down and the manager's reply was "well I guess you have a nice doctor". This response was completely unprofessional and frankly childish. She went on further by saying "I have someone here waiting", I explained the situation and again and, in my opinion, sometimes unavoidable things happen. She begrudgingly granted me another grace appointment. I found this interaction completely inappropriate and rude. I called as soon as I could and could not give 24 hours notice as I made the appointment the same day. There are too many salons and spas in this area for them to treat theirs like its a 5 star resort and use the phrase "grant a grace appointment". I hoped to be able to reschedule for the next day, but with the complete lack of compassion and customer service I will not be returning unfortunately. read more

A friend and I booked a pedi/mani on Monday. While we were getting our pedicures, they were playing a movie. It was the most violent movie I had ever seen. For over an hour, the movie showed people being killed, tortured....very violent! There were several children in the salon. I was extremely upset to say the least. I have originally only been to this place once, I used a a Groupon the first time and everything went well. Everyone was very nice, even though the woman who did my gel manicure did a terrible job (didn't shape my nails or cut my cuticles), the pedicure she gave me was great though, no complaints there, but still the people were very nice and the experience was nice. Now I made a reservation/appointment for a friend and I recently, she had a Groupon, and I had a coupon that they sent me via email for a $35 gel mani and express pedicure. On the day I was supposed to make it, unfortunately my phone broke, I was on the phone with apple all day, and had to go to the Apple Store to deal with it. In the meantime I completely forget about my appointment and explain the situation to them, I apologized a million times, I said I'm so sorry, I didn't have my phone, can I reschedule, I still would like to go, and they were not understanding about the situation at all. Yes I understand that I didn't show up or answer my phone because GUESS WHAT, things in life happen randomly, and sometimes you can't make a stupid nail appointment. I'm giving them a bad review because they charged me a service I did not receive and they took away my coupon and Groupon, and I didn't have to give them the codes, I was just trying to be decent, but they weren't having it. I will not be returning to this place. It's ridiculous to charge people for missing an appointment, so I called to cancel the charge on my credit card. I suggest going somewhere else, it's not even worth the money for how mediocre of a job they did on my hands and feet. read more

My husband and I went to The Spa on our vacation in Orlando for a spa day. Overall, it was a good experience. The services are well priced and you can't beat. the 50% off for the first visit or for the yelp check in. We got a couples massage and pedicures for $150. The staff were all extremely nice, the lady that did my husband's pedicure was awesome. It was his first pedicure and he was extremely jumpy. She was so patient with him and explained everything to him before she did it. I knocked one star off for the experience with the couples massage. The massages were okay, I had an aromatherapy massage but couldn't smell anything so I'm not sure it was very much of an aromatherapy experience. The room was really small so the massage therapist kept bumping into the walls and it was cold and all they provided was a thin sheet to cover us. I would recommend either a heated massage table or heated blanket to use in the future. The Spa was a great experience and I would recommend it to others, just make sure you ask them to turn up the heat if your going to get a massage. :) read more

My boyfriend gave me a $100 gift certificate to come here for a massage last week, I opted for a deep tissue which it definitely was not, I asked for medium pressure because I'm a pretty petite young woman and she barely pressed on my back. I have had a deep tissue massage and that was not it. This was my first time at this spa and the check in process was very hectic, the girl at the front desk seemed rushed like she didn't have time to speak with me, I didn't feel welcomed. Hands down the best spa around. I have been a member for over a year now and I enjoy my "me time" at The Spa. The staff is pleasant and I always feel welcomed. Michael gives the most amazing massages, Diamond is a facial guru and Amy is the queen of waxing and nails!
