Recently, I purchased a new laptop from Staples at Masonville, London, after being without one for…read moreover three years.  Getting to the actual purchase took about two months after trying to make a decision and choice that would be right for my particular use. The staff members in that department with whom I dealt  - John(manager), Jimmy, Jay, and a few others, were exceptionally accommodating, patiently giving of their time and expertise throughout while I returned from time to time to see and discuss different laptops.  In particular, Noah, who did the installation of programs on my laptop when I finally chose one, was and has been an outstanding support - patient, kind and always willing to help. Not being technically savvy in any way, I required a lot of his time to explain and instruct me.  Even after the sale, he has been there to guide me through learning what, for most people, are the basics and I had to call him on the phone quite a few times for help including recently.  Not once did I feel uncomfortable or hesitant to call him as he was always genuinely happy to help, never displaying any sign of impatience or botheration.  My experience from start to the present has been one of entire satisfaction along with Noah being part of the highlight in choosing Staples over other competitors.  It is gratifying to experience this level of personalized genuine service and I highly recommend Staples to anyone who is looking for an above par sale and service experience.

I recently received a poster from overseas as a gift from a friend. I never bought it myself…read morebecause it was so expensive with the conversion to Euro's with duty and shipping & handling on top too. I had bought a frame for this poster, but to fit it in I needed 2cm's cut off each side. I hadn't taken the poster out of the packaging even when the person working at the desk took it out for me, marks up where to cut with his pen (almost marking two sides not even needed to be cut). He then just lugs it over to the slicer, cuts them off while bending and creasing the poster all over. Then when he was done, he attempted twice to roll up the poster, but it back in the tube it came in, but he bent the corner and jammed it in halfway before it got stuck. I was so in shock i eventually just said I'll take it, stop handling my poster. I was so furious, my poster is now completely ruined, which I had bought a frame for. Crease marks, bends, even a small rip. Now he took it out of the wrapping, so he must have known it was new. But what made me even more mad, was it shouldn't matter if this was a $200 poster, a $2 picture or a $20,000 picture. You should have even the slightest amount of respect for other peoples belongings. It obviously meant a lot to me if I brought it in to get custom sized. And you completely ruined this poster and didn't take an ounce of pride into the work you were doing. Use your head. I planned on having this poster for life, now what Staples? Thanks a lot.

Island Inkjet has saved me tons of money on printing costs over the years, since if you buy an…read moreinkjet printer, the replacement cartridges will run you more than the cost of the printer itself (and they run out pretty fast). Island Inkjet can refill the cartridge (even though it's not designed for it) for a lot less than the cost of a new one, something the printer makers would rather you didn't know about. The last time I was at this location, there was a bit of a snafu--I was getting an Epsom cartridge refilled, and when I got it home, the printer wouldn't recognize it. Epsom cartridges are extra annoying, as they have a built-in chip that tells the printer how much ink is left; it needs to be reset with a special gizmo. Turns out that that step hadn't worked the first time, so I had to take it back to Island Inkjet, but it was fixed in a minute, and I never had a problem afterward.

Over the course of the past month, I have tried to visit the location on Dundas St. in London, but…read moreevery single time it has been closed. I was able to purchase an ink cartridge once in June 2015 from this location, and given their excellent prices I wanted to go back and continue buying from them. Unfortunately, they open late on weekday mornings, and every single time I have visited them, there has been a note stating they will be back in 25 min. I did not have the time to wait, and ended up going to Staples. Bad business conduct.
