First, there is absolutely zero place to park! Second, I have had my pet for 12 years living in various states, Liz at Social Pup was recommended by my Vet...she is the WORST Groomer I have ever experienced not only for my dog but her professionalism and ethics when dealing when pet parents. I was absolutely appalled at the comments she made about me PERSONALLY to the point I became angry! It was the most stressful experience for both myself and my pet! I will be letting my Vet know as well as other public platform!! I would like a full refund for the horrible cut she gave my pet as well!! Stay away!! read more

My Husky comes here for doggy daycare and grooming. He gets daily walks and even gets to go to the bank some times! They're always available to take him even if I have an emergency. Grooming prices can be on the expensive side, but they do an amazing job and are very quick! I always know my pup is in good hands. They have hand dryers rather than cage drying so I know he won't be left there. Tons of shampoos to choose from. They have a self-service wash too for those wanting to save some $$. The workers are great too. They are always friendly, accommodating, and respectful. I asked Sarah for recommendations for boarding as I needed to travel for work. Since she knows my husky, she gave me places that would work best for him aka not Petsmart or any other kennel type places. She also posts photos and videos to Facebook every day so I can see what he did and anything fun news. I have recommended this place to three people already and all of them have come with great results. read more

We trust caretakers to love and look after our animals. But unfortunately, that expectation was not met. I refuse to get into the details, because there will always be a "back and forth" of who is right and who is wrong. My sweet, happy, playful, energetic pupper will not return to The Social Pup. He has been to many other daycares, boarding, and busy public dog parks... always happy and sweet. Social Pup is not the place for us, and beware, they will lock your dog into a cage at will. Dropped our dog off for daycare and grooming - and during the grooming the owner called to let me know there were a couple of issues we should be aware of. We spent 1/2 hour on the phone going over everything in detail. Such dedication! Aside from assuring their pets have fun at daycare - they are also attentive to any red flags during grooming. This was my 2nd visit here since the place was closer to home for me. unfortunately, after the experience here today, it would be my last visit. I had called a couple of days in advanced to book an appt for a Saturday afternoon, and was told they had an opening at 1p or 4p. Due to work obligations, I decided to go with the 4pm time slot. On the day prior, and after hours, I had received a confirmation voicemail and then another call afterwards stating that they would not be able to fit my appt at 4p since it was an hour before they close at 5pm. Long story short, they managed to fit my dog in for a cut/bath at 3pm instead. However, the staff were not friendly and also rude upon drop off and at pickup. My only comment to the business owner and shop, is that if you cannot fit a scheduled appt, don't force it just to make the extra money if you are going to give horrible service. After working in service experience for 10+yrs, customer service should be #1 priority if you want to run a successful business shop. read more

I take my pom to get groomed there every 2-3 weeks. They are so attentive and caring, and no matter who grooms him, he always comes out looking like a famous Instagram pup. I highly recommend this place. read more

Took my 12 year old pit here this past weekend. They gave her a mud bath and returned her to us with a bandana about 90 minutes after we dropped her off. She seemed happy when we picked her up. My dog was clean and smells good when he was picked up. He even received a cute little bandana to leave with as well. Coming in, he had fur that was really tangled and tough to remove but they took care of it. They really listened to what I wanted for my dog's style. There was a little miscommunication, probably on my part for being so soft spoken, but overall a really good experience. At first he was a bit overwhelmed stepping inside but he seem to be fine and was happy by the time I picked him up. I would return for his next grooming! read more

I've been taking my dog to The Social Pup for almost a year now. Every one of the staff knows her by name as soon as we come through the door! My husband jokes that if she ever runs away, we know exactly where she'll go! As soon as we say the name, she stops whatever she's doing and bolts to the door, so excited! We love looking at the numerous pictures of our girl having a great time with her friends while she's there. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Going to try out the grooming services soon too! I just left so disappointed and annoyed. We have had arrangements to bring our new pup to doggie daycare here for weeks. I called and confirmed Monday of this week, and they said she was all set for Tuesday's and Wednesday as long as everything went well. My boyfriend and I entered the facility and the front desk guy had no clue what we were talking about and said that our dog could not stay.. we were standing there like idiots. He said " oh you needed to be here by 7am " absolutely no one told me that. He tried calling someone and no one answered I assume. Then we said we were just gonna leave and tried to open the door and it was locked and we asked how to do it. He responded " it's the top one " we felt like we were inconveniencing him soooo much. Needless to say, we will never be bringing her back here. Such horrible business practice. It's a shame because we would have probably spent a lot of money there. read more

I frequently take our wire fox terrier to the social pup for grooming. They do an excellent job and clean her ears and trim her nails. The staff is friendly and caring. I never have to worry about her being cut like other groomers. They are great and I know she is well cared for. Parking difficult on Jackson. Pricey for nail cut and bath ($75), which was quickly done (a plus). Dog looked good with fancy bandanna and was not at all stressed. They also expressed his anal glands (another plus). However, too much loud barking and salon reeked of dog poop. Probably less pleasant for me than for dog, but won't return. read more
