They're very thorough and had me send pictures my eyebrows they could see what exactly they were dealing with. It was recommended that I have a combination microblading and shading procedure and I was given a quote. I paid a deposit (to hold the appointment) and set a date. Prior to the appointment I received a couple reminders which I appreciated. Upon arrival I filled out any paperwork and Sandy got to work. She's an absolute perfectionist and it takes a lot of time, but it's 100% worth the trouble. I had a not so good job done prior and my eyebrows were almost orange and I had to color them in everyday. I really appreciated the patience I was shown as I'm quite squirmy and I furl my eyebrows constantly. I was repeatedly gently reminded to relax my face and I tried, but I needed constant reminders. After what seemed like forever (I have ADHD) & this tested my ability to control myself, I was beyond grateful for the attention to detail Sandy gave. I was given directions (received them by text, too) on how to properly care for them what to expect as they healed. I set up my follow up appointment for a month out. The touch up process is much faster and I was out of there in a little over an hour. I'm truly in love with the results and will follow up in 3-4 moms for a touch up. I'm so happy with my decision to use Studio Brows and I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in microblading.

Danielle is super sweet and approaching. Her voice is smooth and soft. I had make on with my eyebrows done. She erased what I had and drew in my new eyebrows. She measured around my eyes my arch. And once done I was happy. Day of eyebrows: The procedure itself is not long. It's the drawing in of the new eyebrows making adjustments. I trusted Danielle from the get go. She has extensive knowledge and experience. I totally felt comfortable trust your gut instinct mine always felt positive. Procedure: Danielle put numbing cream let it set in for 20mins. I felt no pain at all, towards the end the numbing wore off but still the pain is tolerable. Danielle's hand is gentle and smooth, I was relaxed the whole time. End result: WOW amazing my mother was like wow herself. I'm very happy she gave me eyebrows from nothing to perfect. I researched online and found Danielle. Her before and after photos looked beautiful, however, I really wish I would have researched about microblading a bit more before I pulled the trigger on this. Walking into the Brow Bar, I was impressed with how nice everyone is! Danielle herself is incredibly sweet and very thorough on making sure all your questions are answered. It really gave me a confidence boost to go forward and schedule an appointment. Fast forward to my appointment day, I agreed to a specific brow shape and color after she waxed some hairs. The numbing cream takes a while to kick in, and it also doesn't last that long. You will have some pain and discomfort during the process but it's tolerable. Once the procedure was done, I noticed that the thick part of my eyebrow was a tad lower and was a few millimeters closer to my nose than the other brow. It's very obvious if you look at the pictures I posted and compare where the brows extend from the corners of my eye. I texted Danielle about it and she assured me that those were issues that could be fixed at the touch up appointment. I also noticed that the lines were getting fatter and looked like the ink was blowing and turning a brownish grey. At that time, I figured it was probably just part of the scabbing process and it would eventually fall off. At my next appointment, I brought up to Danielle how it looked like my lines were blowing. She asked me if I was adhering to the post care and I assured her that I did. I kept them dry and applied the Vit E ointment that was given to me as instructed. She told me that the issue will be fixed on the touch up. After the touch up, it did look a lot better because I could see crisp lines again, but it still kind of looked like a cover up tattoo over blown lines. However, it only lasted a couples days and then the lines blew even worse than before and began to get ashy! I would be more upset if it weren't for the fact it's only noticeable if you look hard enough for it. My husband says it looks like I penciled in some brows with an off color. My only hope was that the color would eventually fade, but it's been 8 months now with no signs of fading. I joined a couple Microblade Groups on Facebook and found out a few things: 1: Microblading is a tattoo. It really shouldn't be labeled semi-permanent. It doesn't just disappear after a couple years. 2: The ink blew from a combined issue of the blades being tilted instead of inserted at 90 degrees. The blades were also inserted too deep and also the post care instructions for my skin type was incorrect. I have oily skin. I should not have been using ointment. Instead I should have been using a dry method of putting absolutely nothing on my brows after day 1. 3. Because of the ink brand used, the pigments turned ashy. 4. The hair strokes that were used were improperly placed going in the wrong direction towards the tails. At first I thought, maybe it was just because of the way my brows are shaped? Maybe that's why she decided to scratch every single hair all in the same direction. Hair strokes are suppose to tilt downward towards the tail almost like they come together in a feathery point. It creates a more natural look because that's how eyebrow hairs actually grow. I looked back at Danielle's portfolio and every single person had symmetrical upward hair strokes. You can google microblading hair stroke templates and see how making the strokes in the same direction is not the industry standard. I also wish she didn't wax my eyebrows before the procedure. I didn't initially notice but she waxed off a good amount near my Starts. After it grew back, the hairline didn't line up at all with the microblade lines. So at this point, I'm going to wait and see if they will eventually fade. If not then I'm going to have to fork out the cash to get them removed. If I had to do it all over again, I would have definitely researched more into microblading and looked harder for an artist who practices in the same techniques I learned to appreciate. Don't get me wrong, some people feel like Danielle does great work because obviously she has happy clients, but I do think for my face shape, skin type, and design I had in mind.... it just was a bad fit for me.

Update: 10 months later and I've had to spend a twice as much to get a brow cover up by a proper,…read morereputable artist. It's not a matter of touch-up, this needed cover up, colour correcting, and took two sessions to fix. The issue is that MK Brows simply don't know what they are doing. On their dominant hand they pressed too hard which resulted in one very dark brow (& healing was much more painful). On the other side they were reaching across and did the tattoo too light and much of it didn't take, hence I have one light brow and one dark. Reputable tattoo artists know this and accommodate for it. As I left the salon, my brows looked so uneven I had to ask for correction, which was done by tattooing a skin-colour pigment over her previous work. It looks like a scar under my brow and only tattoo removal could properly correct it.

Wanted to get it done for the first time to check it out. I mainly found two places that had the service My lash girl being one of them. The other place is much bigger and has more of a name but I like to shop locally. I spoke to Darlene over the phone with some questions, she directed me to the website to book an appt. I went through with the request put in my info and everything but no where was there an option to book an appt or see her availability. I called again, sent a text with my availability. Waited TWO DAYS for a reply and then finally got an appt scheduled. THEN, Darlene texts me 3 HOURS BEFORE MY APPT to say that she won't make it back to Katy in time. I'm so upset as now it's been more than a week since trying to make an appt and I finally make one and she cancels on me. She has a strict no show/cancellation policy she holds her customers to but then just unprofessionally cancels appts on customers. I don't get it. She knew she had my appointment why would she not plan accordingly. So we find a new time to reschedule for 3 days later. **I'm finally at my appointment and she starts by asking me how curly I want them. I told her I wanted them the curliest. Then as I'm laying and she's already put the stickies on my eyes and everything she asks if I want "WHISPS OR BABYDOLL". Now this is the first time I ever do anything to my lashes never done extensions or even falsies, so I have nooo idea what she's referring to. She explains the whisps are like flared that pair perfectly with winged eyeliner or Babydoll which are just pretty and curly. I had no idea which one I wanted such a hard decision for me to make at that second without prior knowledge of what she's talking about. So she says she can do an in between one she does for people who can't decide. So I figure that's the best bet since I have no idea what either would look like. The last step for sure burned a lot but I wanted them curled and tinted as much as possible so I put up with it. Once it was all done and I got to see them, I definitely expected them to have come out curlier. But I figured that's just how they look now but they look better and I just didn't want to be disappointed. But I'm so disappointed. My left eyelashes definitely look whispy they all tilt to the left so my front lashes in my inner corner are non existent. My right eye lashes are curled in the middle but not the inner or outer corner and they're not curled all the way just a middle length curl. The point of getting your lashes permed is so you can skip the step of curling them everyday. I STILL HAVE TO CURL MY LASHES EVERYDAY :( The problem is they don't curl evenly or like they use to because of that jacked up perm she gave me. My eyelashes look stupid everyday now I'm so sad! I'm highly disappointed and frustrated for wasting my money, trusting Darlene & the good reviews(that are mainly for extensions), and for messing up my lashes. I was better off before coming in and now I have to wait weeks for it to go away. Please save your money and lashes and go somewhere else. I'm sure she's just better at extensions then perming. She is way too busy to respond to calls or texts in time, isn't flexible for appts, and doesn't care if your happy with her work. She took before and after pictures of me, she said she would send them to me and never did. I asked her for them and she never sent them to me. I might update with a picture once I take my mascara off so you can see how bad they look.

I went back three-four times to just see if it was maybe she was going through or if she was just a TERRIBLE businessman. Lol , yeah I won't ever go back . Maybe she's not this way with everyone but I had a not so great experience. I had her do a pre-wedding look due to I have never had my lashes done before but I wanted to look a little more done up for the big day . I did the natural look and I was really pleased with them . I went back a week later to have a volume refill. THEY LOOKED AMAZING!! I was so happy and looked really pretty with them, but this is when it all went down hill :(. A week later all of my lashes had come off , all but maybe 4-5 on each eye. I was told that I had 8 weeks until the last lash comes off but I didn't think I would be walking around looking like I've picked all my lashes off ( yes, my own natural lashes came out as well and currently working on re-growing.) I took all precautions to make sure they lasted with my make up removal routine . So I text her and said hey , not sure If this is normal but this is what happened. Hah, so she then told me that she would do my whole new volume lash set for 50% off because she had changed glues and she had a few more clients tell her the same things ... well I show up and I had previously made a wax app as well for my brows , well 1.) we ran out of time and 2.) I wasn't upset because they didn't really need them . The lashes looked ah-mazing ( this post isn't about the quality of work she puts out, I have ALWAYS been pleased.) However , my husband texts me a few days later saying " holy cow why was it so expensive this time?" I proceeded to tell him that it was supposed to be half off ( 150$ originally so only should've been 75$) and I didn't do brows . I was charged 200.00!!!!!!!! I immediately text her and said what the heck?! Well 1.) she charged me for a service I didn't even get ( eyebrows) and she charged me the full 150.00$ for something that was her fault in the first place , on top of my 17.00 tip well we go back and forth and I tell her just to Venmo me everything back except for the 75$ I agreed to pay. Lol she Venmo's me the tip and the eyebrows. I text her and text her about the other half of my eyelashes that SHE specifically told me we're half off !!! NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM HER!! That's why she gets one star , I'm not sure why you can't go lower for being a thief . I really liked her and trusted her word and she betrayed me and essentially stole money from me . Awful awful awful business person , can't show up on time ( which I never complained because heck, I have a hard time getting somewhere on time due to my kids , which I know she has two with her), but to tell me one thing and BLATANTLY keep my money lol. I wouldn't trust her with the pay service , just saying . I hope she does well, but I wouldn't trust her .
