Their suggestion was that he see a psychiatrist and be put on meds. Like seriously? As a mother, that's always a last resort, not a first option. Any problem behavior, they do not know how to handle and will call you to pick up your child early. All the the therapists are very young and seemingly right out of college. When you pick your child up, they will loudly give you an update in front of the whole waiting room which at times, has violated HIPAA laws. Also, as other reviews have noted, the billing dept is awful, they will not contact you if you have a balance, they just charge your credit card without authorization. They don't allow you to contact your insurance company to try and rectify it. They only state they will refund you later if needed. I had a balance of $95 that insurance erroneously didn't pay. Treehouse tried charging my card but it was an old card and didn't process. They called me 4 times within 20 minutes AND sent an email threatening collections if I didn't pay that day. What?!? Over 95 measly dollars I had no idea I even owed. No monthly statements or anything were ever sent. I would absolutely not recommend Treehouse. There are so many other reputable places to go to. Ones that actually care about you and your child and don't just treat you like dollar signs. I'm sure they will respond to this review with some sort of justification that they have done no wrong. But that is not needed, I am disgusted with this place and will be pursuing legal action for HIPAA violations.

We took him get an evaluation done at a large local speech therapy center, but my son literally didn't say a single word for the entire session.  I found Smiling Star and made an evaluation appointment with Miss Micaela. My son was very shy at first, as expected, but very quickly became  comfortable because of how awesome Miss Micaela was with him! The initial assessment revealed that he had many speech deficits, and a major lack of confidence with speaking, which made it even worse. We signed up for weekly sessions with Miss Micaela and in less than 4 months he was caught up to where he should be as far as speech, and had become so much more confident in speaking at school. He also LOVED going to speech therapy. On non-therapy days he would ask to go. And on therapy days he would ask to go back again after dinner. We are so thankful to have found Smiling Star and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a speech therapist!

Alex was instrumental in helping us start services and continued to find a way to make her practice's services fit with our daughter's diagnosis. However, after a MONTH of attending, she then informed me that she hadn't seen my daughter exhibit the behavior we were there for in the first place (which basically means I was paying $30 a week for my daughter to play in a ball pit and do the alphabet. Neither of which addresses our reason for being there). Throughout our time there, I made it very clear to all involved that as of August 20th, we would no longer be using them as my daughter would be starting kindergarten, and our time wouldn't work anymore. They offered several times to put me on a waiting list for a weekend time slot, which I declined as we live 45 min away. I had to cancel my daughter's last session and again reiterated that we wouldn't be back due to kindergarten. Well, come August 20th, I was charged $50 for a no show. They claim they had no idea we wouldn't be returning and say I never canceled our future sessions. I spoke to MULTIPLE PEOPLE. No one there communicates. Someone at the front desk even apologized saying they recently changed "some things around" and that things have been a bit "disorganized ". A BIT? So after multiple appeals on my end to get the $50 charge refunded, they simply reply to me, "the charge is valid and will not be waved." (Excellent customer service, right?) I mean they literally rob you. And guess what? After six total weeks there, I never even received a report or ANYTHING on my daughter (despite being told at the end of every session that one was being put together). I still haven't seen anything documenting what was done, observed, NOTHING. I mean they are truly unhelpful, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I have never been this disappointed nor dissatisfied with a professional medical office in my life. Stay as far away as you can.

It was "it's okay, lots of kids have a hard first session. We will see you next week". Nope. They won't even try again. If your kid has behavior issues, don't count on hummingbird. If you are looking for a therapy clinic to bring your child and you live nearby, then it's not a bad place to go. However, if you are contemplating this pediatric clinic versus another one...I would recommend that you really take the time to ask questions, view the facilities, and make an educated decision on which place to enroll your child. The clinic is nice and big, and it includes a large gym, small gym, and individual therapy rooms. They offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services to the pediatric population.

Tony was my physical therapist and was very instrumental in helping me get strength and flexibility back in my foot. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. The few times that Tony was away and another therapist filled in, I was always happy with my care. I recommend PT Solutions in Woodridge highly. p.s. I wish I would have gone to physical therapy sooner after my surgery though - if I ever have my other foot done, I'll ask to go to physical therapy sooner. There are some surgeries that typically the surgeon doesn't automatically offer physical therapy, bunion surgery being one of them, but I definitely needed a therapist's help to regain normal strength and function.

Her doctor identified a gross motor…read moredelay and referred us to physical therapy in 2020, and later assessments done by her school district identified a severe fine motor delay. We worked with Sarah at Little Steps to assess her and develop a treatment plan, and worked toward clearly identified gross motor milestones before progressing to occupational therapy. The therapists at Little Steps have even coordinated with her school district regarding her IEP. We have both really enjoyed working with the therapists at Little Steps and look forward to coming together each week. My daughter has made so much progress over the past year! PT and OT have improved all facets of her life--beyond improvements in motor skills, her behavior and attention have improved at home and in the classroom. She's more comfortable and has better endurance.
