Satyam always pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone even when I was scared, unsure or didn't think I was ready. At the time, I didn't realize how much those moments were helping me grow but looking back, they changed me in so many ways. After working together for so many years, I can honestly say I am a completely different person than when I first started. He helped me grow not only as a singer but as a person. So much of the confidence I have today comes from his encouragement, patience, and belief in me. Satyam always saw potential in me even when I couldn't see it in myself and I will forever carry that with me. He taught me to believe in my voice, but more importantly, he taught me to believe in myself. I truly wouldn't be the person I am today without him and I'll always be grateful that he was such a big part of my journey.

He is exceptionally skilled at what he does by the way he is able to identifying improper vocal tendencies/techniques and quickly create solutions with positive results. I have grown tremendously with my vocal abilities thanks to Mr. Patel who has helped me broaden my vocal range, build my vocal agility, eliminate vocal strain, strengthen my stage presence, and helped me become more confident as a vocalist. I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Patel to everyone of all levels who are interested in singing and especially to those who are very serious about improving their vocal techniques and skills.

I've been working with Stephanie for a couple months now and I absolutely love it! I love that she…read morefocuses in on technique and your authentic style first before working on transferring those skills to whatever songs you want to sing (aka she sets you up for long term/more success!!). I originally came to her because I know that singing can transfer into speaking skills, and I speak and teach all over the country. I've already noticed a huge improvement! Thank you so much, Stephanie

I signed up for lessons hoping to correct a speech impediment I have had since middle school. They…read moreswore this was absolutely possible. After about a month or two, I was getting the wildest compliments during lessons "you're going to be a star" and "embrace the fame thats coming your way" "you are about to be on TV" I didn't understand what was going on or even what this TV show was. I was humble and didn't want to ask questions. Before one of the showcases, I was even supposed to have a private meeting with one of her "producers" to record. After long, I realized the same eager crowd that showed up at these "producer showcases" to perform & impress were mostly the same ones coming to lessons. I was told things like "you'll have album in three years" and because of her connections with music stars.....maybe even a collab with Carrie Underwood. There was also *tremendous* pressure to come online and leave a 5-star review. I felt uneasy that things which seemed private and confidential about other students were shared during lessons. I also realized that she seemed to share things about me that I wish she wouldn't have. I wish that I would have walked away when I got to the point I was at...and never got involved with her "showcases" and her producers. I wish I would have trusted the bad feeling in my gut about all of it. It felt like mind games, with the wild promises, and the producers, and how they never talked to me directly about what was going on. I would be ashamed to talk like this to my voice students, and Mr. Riggs probably wouldn't approve of this business modality either. Now, I am trying to find myself again after the grief this has caused in my life. Which is far more than can be fit in this review.

Kelli didn't simply decide one day she knew something about performing and hang a shingle. She has the bona fides of a career at the top of the entertainment industry, most notably as the first American Eponine in the original Broadway production of Les Miserables. She also starred in the first national tours of Evita and Aspects of Love; in addition, she has sung on some of the world's greatest concert stages, from Toronto to Munich to London's Royal Albert Hall. Any singer looking to learn from the best need look no further than Kelli James. She has the track record to prove it.

I saw first hand her level of professionalism and her working knowledge of surviving in show business, more importantly, how to survive 8 shows a week of high modern-aged belting. In the years since, I have encountered (auditions or on stage) several of Kelli's students and been thorough amazed. They display great poise, investment in their craft, and in some, a greater depth of feeling than their young years should provide. Several are working professionally. One just closed in a starring role on Broadway. Everyone has a voice. If that were enough, the stars would fill the airwaves. Unfortunately, getting from studio to the stage door entrance takes hard work and frankly, a great deal of insider knowledge. Whether you're an adult looking for a refresher or a student (or parent of one) who may have a dream or ambition, you will benefit from studying with Kelli. In fact, you'll have The Advantage.

The teachers we endearingly call: " The Jessica's" are wonderful with my kids! They make playing piano fun, are nurturing and encouraging, which keeps my girls wanting to come back each week! Dave is owner is wonderful, so is the rest of the staff! Adam, Kyle and Hallie work the front, this awesome group goes above and beyond to help with any questions, payments and schedules. (Forgot to mention they always have a friendly smile on their faces.) In addition, we never had a musical sub teacher we didn't like. The new facility is spacious and it is very fun to watch and listen to all the "artists" practicing their instruments! The most exciting part is DRMA puts on free recital of the kiddos twice a year. They put all the kiddos on a stage with a microphone and spotlight and let them shine! You and the extended family will love the recitals! We are so glad we found this place because life is better with music!

My child and I attended the trial class for the K-Pop Music program featuring K-Pop Demon Hunters,…read moreand while we truly appreciate the creativity behind offering a class inspired by K-Pop and love seeing how popular the genre has become with younger students, I wanted to share some honest feedback. Although the theme and the advertisement of K-Pop is great, the class itself did not include any actual Korean elements. The "K" in K-Pop stands for Korean, yet the song sheets handed out were entirely in English, and students were specifically instructed to sing only the English versions and not the Korean lyrics. This makes the class feel misaligned with what K-Pop actually is, and in that sense, calling it a K-Pop class feels like unintentional false advertising. I feel advertising it as a vocal class featuring hit songs from the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters (English Version) would be better than calling it a "K-Pop Class." To give one example, I overheard a student telling her mom afterward that all the Korean parts had been replaced with English words and she excitedly said she now "knows Korean," which highlights the confusion this can create. We genuinely appreciate the effort to bring modern music into the curriculum, and we think a class inspired by K-Pop could be wonderful with some adjustments. We simply wanted to share this feedback in case it helps refine the program. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we wish you the best with your classes.

I am so thrilled to have Miciah as my piano teacher! Miciah's experience and skill as a musician…read moreshine through during our lessons, as do his teaching abilities. With ease, he is able to guide me to just the right practice pieces, and is able to quickly focus in on the lessons therein. He is patient, pleasant, and never makes me feel "on the spot" during my lesson....I make mistake after mistake and he takes it in stride and confidently guides me down the road to playing the piece accurately. I'm 100 percent comfortable during our lessons and always have a great time learning from him. In terms of his own skills, it's amazing to watch him pick up a piece of music, mark it up with the fingering in just a few seconds, and then be able to know if I'm playing it properly just by listening to me. Then he can easily demonstrate every piece (with flair) so I can hear how it should ultimately sound. His thought process is organized and clear, which makes his communication style organized and clear, which makes learning easy. As an adult learner (he teaches both adults and children), I'm probably more critical than a younger student, and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every teaching moment with Michiah so far. I have always wanted to play the piano, and I'm thrilled to be making this dream come true.

Here's a shout out to Miciah of Dodge Music Studios for letting my son use his studio to practice…read morewhile we were visiting Phoenix. If you find it's hard to get your child to practice music at home, you'll also know how nearly impossible it is when traveling. In the past I have contacted music schools, rented instruments, and even bought a keyboard and hardcase. Each of these solutions created its own problem from the school that said we could use any open practice room only to be barged in on by a very pissed off nine-year old who insisted we were using "her" piano, to having to returned to a music store for parts missing from the keyboard we rented, to having to pay a hefty additional fee to the airline for the oversized instrument case. By good fortune I found Dodge Music when planning our trip to Phoenix. Miciah made it easy to arrange and pay for practice space but the best part was the studio itself, a nicely furnished and impeccably clean room with a well-tuned baby grand. Sure beat the shoebox sized and airless practice rooms that we had to put up with in the past using console pianos that were on their last leg. Miciah was friendly, obliging but never intrusive and let my son get on with his practice as soon as we stepped in. An added bonus was Miciah's dog Gizmo, a very gentle, short-hair dog who would hang out with us. My son is very allergic to animal dander but both the house and Gizmo were almost antiseptically clean (compare my house anyway). My son didn't have any problems with his allergies and Gizmo was a welcomed lesson companion. Even though my son wasn't taking lessons from Miciah, I can say with confidence that his studio exude a relaxed atmosphere where one can readily focus on lessons. Thanks a lot, Miciah and you too, Gizmo!
