We hired Puget Sound Strings to play a private event in our backyard for 30 friends this summer…read more Despite horrible traffic that day, the musicians arrived promptly and in great spirits. However, as most of our friends were delayed, the quartet was very flexible and gave us extra time to accommodate them. We designed a more interactive experience for our friends, and the musicians were delightful, entertaining, and "read the room" very well in regards to the music selection. Their musicality and showmanship were outstanding. We look forward to continuing the tradition next year!

The string trio was simply, AMAZING. They truly made our wedding ceremony unique and helped bring our vision into reality. My guests were raving about that portion of our ceremony and cocktail hour - they were so impressed and enjoyed the music! It was Rebecca who we communicated mostly with through email prior to the wedding day. Let me just say, she made the communication and booking process so easy. Their repertoire was definitely impressive and we had a lot to chose of pieces to from. There were 3 specific songs we wanted for our ceremony (Bittersweet Symphony, Here Comes the Sun, & Stand by Me) and I was thrilled to find out they were able to play for us! I also want to thank Rebecca for helping us decide on a song for our bridal party to walk out to after the ceremony. We wanted something a little more upbeat, but still elegant at the same time. She helped us decide on Viva La Vida - the PERFECT ending! Overall, we were so happy with our decision to have Puget Sound Strings play at our wedding. The booking process was so easy, the string trio came and did an amazing job and everything was just executed so professionally! It truly made our wedding extra special - I had no idea how magical the write music would make the most important part of our day. If you're thinking of booking PSS for your big day or event, DO IT! I assure you, you will not regret it! :)

When my 14 brother came home sounding like a proper musician, I knew that His teacher Eric Snyder…read morehad the ability to help adjust my novice player tendencies and make me a much more well rounded guitarist. After only a few lessons I understood that Eric was one of the most capable, accomplished, and accommodating guitar teachers in the area! His skills are up there and he has the patience to adapt between beginners level to very advanced-- Extremely accommodating with setting up scheduling for practice times as well. Amazing once in a lifetime teacher --

I'm really impressed by the people at the School of Rock. My son just had his fifth birthday and…read morehe's been banging on toy bins (emptied of their toys, of course) with Tinkertoy sticks or whatever else he can find for the past three years. With no sign of the "drumming" abating, I went to the SoR to see about real drum lessons for Felix. We had an honest and friendly conversation about how most five-year olds are not mature enough to learn much from drum instruction yet... they come in, bang on the drums, have a fantastic time, and maybe they will remember the names of the drums and cymbals. He said that with that info, if we want to enroll Felix, he's sure the drum instructor would be glad to have him and would do his best to help Felix have fun AND learn something... but don't have high expectations. He suggested an awesome alternative that they offer just for preschoolers... their eight-week Little Wing program (awesome name, btw). Skilled preschool teachers walk the kids through an intro to music, an intro to guitars, an intro to the bass, making their own guitar, intro to the drum kit, making their own drum kit, intro to the keyboard, making their own keyboard, intro to voice, recording their voices, sound detectives (headphones), and band rehearsal. They have small class sizes and at $160 for 8 one-hour sessions, it's a real bargain. I was so glad that they suggested this more age-appropriate program... he could have sold me a month of lessons for more $, and we would be less happy in the long run. Once Felix is old enough for proper drum lessons (age 7 - 8), if he's still interested, we'll be back at the School of Rock.
