From Day 1, we knew how wonderful a vendor they would be to work with as we planned for one of the biggest days of our lives. They were were flexible and accommodating, offering to meet up with us at a good halfway point between the suburbs and the city. Another plus to working with them is that they were VERY responsive to our inquiries...they were available via text, phone call, and email...you didn't have to wait a week or two for their responses to come through. In fact, they would usually respond within an hour. You would not believe how much stress that alleviated as we had 50 other wedding planning balls to juggle. Not only he was talented and came highly recommended, he was prompt in all his response, professional and highly knowledgeable of music that we are looking to match the ambiance we want to create for our special day. We only met with him once prior to the day, and gave him a list of our playlists. We also have a weird playlist- from oldies Chinese song from our parents era, to some from our era such as music from Crazy Rich Asian, from Backstreet Boys to Frank Sinatra to Bruno Mars. But, he knew exactly the vibe we were going for because he even played music that wasn't on the list and his music got people swaying and jumping! We did spent a little more than what we wanted for a DJ but DJ Rocryte was worth every investment! Granted that we have a traditional and conservative crowd and have low expectations, we have never seen so many uncles and aunties on their feet. There was a decibel limit at the wedding location and Matthew handled that limitation perfectly. He also did not hesitate to move his heavy equipment between floors so that the reception audio was handled just as professionally. He even willing stayed past the contracted hour without hesitation or complaining. I'm sure that he is a remarkable DJ; the only reason we did not have him "spinning records" is the decibel limitation. Most of the communications with Tony was done via webcam since we weren't able to go back and forth to Washington. There were multiple parts of our wedding that the guest had never seen before and moved them to tears, laughter and the best party opener after a year of masks and social distancing. He knows the right way to do everything in his lane and he pretty much becomes your day of coordinator, or their huge helper. He helped us with our floor plan and he always kept us informed on what was going to happen next. It felt like the wedding was a production. A Grammy winning production at that. The moment I realized we had made the best decision for our wedding by hiring Tony was as I was getting ready the day of. It was about three hours before the wedding and I was getting my hair done and just mentioned to my wedding party "Oh crap I hope Tony is able to set up and doesn't get lost or anything." My maid of honor said "umm... he's been here for a while and I am pretty sure he is all set up." He adds absolutely 0 stress the day of the wedding!
