We hired Drew for our recent wedding after attending a friend's wedding and based on her recommendations. One of the best decisions ever! Drew was easy to work with, always responsive through email and called us a week before the wedding to discuss details. Although he had never been to our venue before, he got there 2 hrs ahead of time to set up and scope out the place and you would have never even known he hadn't worked there before. He not only is a DJ but also helped keep us on track throughout the night and acted as emcee (super helpful as we did not have an official venue day of coordinator). My husband and I were married July, 2011, and choosing Drew as our wedding DJ was one of the very best decisions we made. My husband and I had absolutely no clue where to begin with wedding music. Had we been left to our own devices, our poor guests probably would have been bombarded by some strange hybrid of Eagles and Journey meeting Barenaked Ladies and Paula Abdul. Let's just say, it wouldn't have been pretty. Drew sat down with us before the wedding to plan out music for the whole evening. Processional, Recessional, Dinner background music, Cake Cutting Music etc etc etc. Drew helped us go through step by step through the night to figure our which events we WERE doing (mother-son dance, sister-brother dance) and which ones we were not (bouquet throw, garter toss). Then, night of, when suddenly there was a new song for the mother-son dance, there WAS going to be a garter toss and bouquet throw and we had to vamp for time while people came in from all corners of the venue, Drew went with the flow easily and with such grace that guests had no idea anything unplanned was happening. Perhaps more important than all the details leading up to the big night is the music itself. I don't know if it is typical for wedding guests to rave about a DJ, but let me tell you, MINE DID! And best of all, during the days that followed, we talked to so many guests who were sore from all the dancing they did. Drew's ability to keep the music rolling in a way that kept the dance floor moving and the crowd on it's feet was unbelievable. After countless emails back and forth with DJs in the Seattle area, we were overwhelmed and nervous about hiring one. Some you don't even meet until the week of your wedding... but not Drew. We reached out to Drew via email, and set up an in person meeting over the summer. He came to the meeting prepared with a DJ form that he uses full of all sorts of stuff we hadn't begun to think about. He was very easy-going and low pressure about booking (which we totally appreciate). When we finally made the (best) decision and booked with Drew, he emailed us a copy of his form, and we began to work on the document. When we submitted it to him, he provided us thoughtful suggestions, and we eventually scheduled a meeting to talk on the phone. Drew was such an incredible DJ for my wedding. He is so easy going and very flexible to work with. I wanted to plan a surprise song to sing to my husband and Drew was great working with all the last minute changes. I had two friends accompanying me, one with a ukulele who needed a music stand. So we had to sneak on a music stand and an additional microphone without my husband noticing, and it went so smoothly. He had no idea!!! My husband said when I sang the surprise song, it was one of his favorite moments from the wedding. Drew kept the dance floor hopping. Great song selections. He really helped me to not feel nervous about the song I walked down the aisle to. My wife and I were married at the Space Needle in May of 2012 and I was in charge of finding the DJ. I found Drew on Yelp and saw that his ratings were flawless. We set up some time to meet Drew and we were immediately impressed with his organization, his professionalism, and his calming demeanor. One of the most underrated qualities about Drew, which I have yet to see in his reviews to date, is his voice. He's got a made for radio deep voice. The things that set Drew apart for me when selecting the DJ for our wedding were: 1 - This is not Drew's day job. Drew is a teacher and an actor which was important to me because I knew that there was no financial pressure on me from Drew to select him. DJ'ing is something that Drew really enjoys and he does it in his spare time. 2- Cost. Because he enjoys to DJ so much, Drew prices himself $100 below his competition. You won't find a better DJ for the price. I have been to a lot of weddings in Seattle, each with a different DJ, and I feel confident in saying that Drew is dollar for dollar the best DJ in Seattle. My wife and I both came away from our meeting and said he's the perfect DJ for our wedding and on our wedding day we were not dissapointed. My wife and I constantly hear from our guests that our wedding was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. Drew was very respectful of his audience and was conscious of playing music for the older crowd early in order to get them on the dance floor before they would inevitably leave early. As the younger guests continued to pressure Drew to play some newer upbeat music he politely asked the bride: 'is it ok to play music with swear words now?
