Book this guy if you need a DJ! He's worth every penny. I was hesitant with his pricing, which was actually market rate but I personally wanted to spend less. But after meeting him and working out a custom package that fit our needs he executed! Wedding vibes fit our personal taste. Day of he was very professional and super easy to work with. Flexible and kept the evening flowing. He really felt like a friend and so effortlessly accommodated any last minute request we had. His setup and equipment was all top notch. Matt (DJ Kemyst) was an incredible DJ & MC for our wedding in Leavenworth in July 2024. He was very responsive via email all the way up to the wedding, and even managed to bring an extra mic for a last minute request. He followed our song list perfectly for the ceremony and created a really fun, upbeat vibe for the cocktail hour and dancing. The dance floor was PACKED! I Hired DJ Kemyst for my wedding and he had the perfect vibe going for both the cocktail hour and later the reception. Matt DJ'd our wedding on September 1st and from beginning to end, hands down it was the best experience we had of any of our vendors! PRE-WEDDING: He was so open and receptive to all our ideas/questions/requests. We met about a month before the wedding to go through the schedule in detail and he was willing to meet us in Seattle which is a long drive from Olympia for him! After the initial meet we continued to text him with additional questions and requests which he addressed in a timely manner. He even offered to meet a second time prior to the wedding just to ease our nerves. WEDDING DAY: We showed up to the reception and Matt was all set up and ready to go. Despite our attempt to create a detailed time schedule, things did not go perfectly according to plan (which is bound to happen) but Matt was very flexible and able to adjust accordingly. He kept the mood fun and upbeat (which is what we wanted) and once the dance floor opened up EVERYONE was on it. We were nervous it'd be one of those "no one wants to dance" situations but once the music was on it was hard to get anyone to leave. I messaged DJ Kemyst about being the DJ for our wedding at a venue in Leavenworth. He got back to me within the hour, and was also super fun and easy to talk to. We had a weird wedding setup without a lot of the usual requirements for a DJ and he gave us a great quote that took our needs into consideration. Another thing I loved is that my wife and I made a spotify playlist of music we liked, and he filled in the rest of the time based on the playlist. It was super convenient and easy! We've been to a couple weddings, and we loved how DJ Kemyst was able to read the crowd and the atmosphere and play the right music for the vibe. TLDR: Super Easy to work with and super personable. Matt was great throughout the whole process. I reached out to him on yelp and he responded right away. The contract was easy and he was responsive to my questions. The day of the wedding, he was there early to set up, he worked with my day of coordinator, and he was super helpful throughout the event. The uplighting he uses is also a great touch. Our guests loved him and he kept the party going the whole time!!
