We could talk about Marc's skill with turntables and software, or how good he is with equipment, or his excellent understanding of playing exactly the right song at exactly the right moment, but I'm not going to talk about any of those. I'm going to talk about Marc as a person. He's courteous to clients and guests. He connects with people when he talks to them. He's professional in the truest sense, and he makes things happen without stepping on any toes. The guy is great to work with, is level-headed, and is the sort of dude you're glad you hired. read more

Marc did an incredible job as the DJ at our wedding. From our first meeting with him through the entire event, he was professional, detail-oriented, responsive, and just wonderful to work with! My husband and I loved that he had us fill out a comprehensive spreadsheet that covered all the songs we wanted and when, plus our sound needs for the ceremony and reception. Marc even made sure to pronounce everyone's names correctly when introducing the bridal party to the reception, and introducing speeches! The sound was flawless for the ceremony and speeches, which I was so thankful for, because nothing is more awkward than spotty mics during those special moments. My dad and I did a special father/daughter dance (Steve Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" which then turned into Michael Jackson's "Thriller), and Marc created the perfect mix and provided it to us well ahead of the wedding so we could practice with it. He helped us pull off the dance perfectly! Don't think twice about hiring Marc for your wedding or other event. He'll make it awesome for sure! read more

DJ Marc Sense is one of my favorite DJs. I first heard of him back in 2005 at Chop Suey when I was going to many of the underground Hip-Hop shows. He would DJ between sets for Macklemore, Blue Scholars, and many other Hip Hop artists. I love that he spins all the old school classics from Hip Hop, to funk, soul, and R&B. He just plays good music that gets you moving no matter how much of a wallflower you are. haha... I follow his Facebook and Twitter page and sometimes he posts links where you can download his mixes for FREE! I've downloaded a few of his soul mixes and love listening to them while I drive. It gets me groovin' in my ride. When I throw a big party, may it be my birthday or if I get married, I will definitely hit him up! He really knows how to throw a party and you can sometimes catch him at the local clubs in Seattle like Havana. Sometimes when I'm lucky I'll see him DJ at a private party. I end up dancing all night long, and it is always the BEST NIGHT EVER! read more

I've seen Marc DJ at a number of venues in Seattle over the years. He's got a great ear for music and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to soul, funk, r'n'b, and hip hop. Easily approachable and always professional. I'd have no problem recommending Marc for an event! read more

Marc is great! Whenever I'd go to bars/lounges around Capitol Hill a couple of years ago I'd see/hear him DJ and wouldn't be disappointed with his song selections.. he knows how to keep the crowd moving! I'm glad to say that nothing has changed (in fact he's probably better) as I recently saw him at a Halloween party this year at WeWork in South Lake Union. The party was from 7-9:30pm. I didn't hear a song that I didn't like and the dance floor was full the whole time. Marc makes parties fun and is professional at the same time. I hope folks will consider hiring him for company parties, wedding receptions, birthday parties etc. etc.! Thanks for allowing us to cut some rug Marc! read more

As a native to Seattle, I feel like I have grown up dancing to the soundtrack of DJ Marc Sense. Marc has played all the top venues in Seattle for good reason. I am always pleased to see him up in the DJ booth manning the club like a Star Trek Captain! In a land of junk music he knows what is gold and plays it at the right moment. He's a stand up person to personally know, a professional to work with and a connoisseur of great music. In Yelp talk he is truly 'Woohoo! As good as it gets' and more! read more

What a great DJ! We planned our wedding knowing we had three top priorities: great food, great people, great dancing. With this in mind, we looked for a DJ that could listen to our priorities, play music for everyone, and most importantly, keep the dance party going. DJ Marc Sense delivered on all counts and was a wonderful vendor to work with. He carefully took our preferences in mind, played what we wanted, and we could trust him to improvise when necessary to play to the mood of the crowd. Our wedding rocked and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor. Marc was also exceptional when coordinating with our other vendors and went out of his way to work with tight schedules and weird venue rules to make sure our event went off without a hitch. Weddings have a lot of moving pieces, require a ton of coordination, and are inherently stressful. If you are looking for a DJ that you can have 100% confidence in, DJ Marc Sense is the right person for the job and is well worth the investment. Thanks again to Marc for helping make our wedding a truly unforgettable night. read more

Marc from Integral DJ's was amazing!! From the very beginning, he walked us through the whole process and was so flexible, even when I was making changes the day of to song requests, oops! Not only was the process streamlined by his great spreadsheet (I am a sucker for spreadsheets), but the day of execution was wonderful. Our venue was our private property in a remote location where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all held at different locations. He brought enough equipment for 3 set ups and had music going in each location before guests arrived (not even sure how he did this!). Finally, the actual dance party was a huge success. We literally could not get people to leave on the shuttle buses. My mom stated afterwards that this was the first wedding she's been to where not a single person was sitting in their chairs, everyone was on the dance floor. Thank you Marc! read more

DJ Marc Sense is the best Seattle has to offer. I've seen him multiple times at clubs/venues around Capitol Hill and he always delivers. I enjoyed Marc so much that I actually hired him to do my wedding this past August. He did an amazing job and made the entire reception/night a blast. From the moment the music started to when the venue kicked us out everyone was out on the dance floor. There was never an awkward moment when no one was dancing, which happens way to often at weddings. It was brilliant all the way to last minute. The thing I love about Marc the most is his personality. Truly, he is a genuine and nice guy. I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

Marc Sense is the real deal. I speak to you as a DJ whose been spinning records for 8 years. The dance floor was never empty, the beat never stopped, there was no break in momentum for 4 straight hours. I've been to countless concerts, raves, festivals, and basement hip hop shows and my wedding ranks amongst the best expenses I've had on a dance floor ever. Marc took our must-play list, which ranged from Fleetwood Mac & Curtis Mayfield to Disclosure & Kid Cudi, and some how made it work. The man works, and is worth every penny. read more

Leading up to my wedding someone asked me what would be the worst thing that could happen on my big day...rain during the outdoor ceremony? Tripping down the aisle? Spilling food on my dress? Nope, I told her it would be no one dancing later in the night. Given that music and dancing were so important to me and my fiance, I shopped around (was also planning my wedding in Seattle from another state!) and landed on DJ Marc. All I have to say is thank god I did!! I could not have been happier with his music selection / professionalism / timing / helpfulness / mc abilities / lights / music equipment / I could go on... Marc showed up 2 hours before the ceremony to make sure everything would be set-up in time (I also should note he had to move equipment locations 3 times during the night and was a really good sport about it), and played a great mix of our song suggestions mixed with his throughout the night. We had special instructions for him a couple times in the night and he pulled those off flawlessly (e.g. during the ceremony I had him loop the acoustic intro of a song for the processional, then begin the words as I came down the aisle). Needless to say, once the dancing got started it was hard for everyone to stop and I have received so many gushing compliments from guests that the music was so much fun and a party instead of the more cliche songs normally played at weddings. If it's not obvious by now I highly recommend DJ Marc and you need to get him for your wedding RIGHT NOW - book early because he fills up fast! read more

Marc was perfect for our wedding. He got an instant sense of our style and was able to amplify it so that our wedding soundtrack was simply beautiful. Thank you Marc!! read more

Marc was amazing. Because our wedding had a few different cultural aspects, we asked Marc if he would be willing to meet in person a few days prior to the wedding, and he agreed even though he was not obligated to. Marc and his partnering DJ were extremely flexible and accommodating to our wedding. Details strayed from the initial outline we had provided him, but he went with it and made it seem flawless. We were extremely impressed at their professionalism and how they handled the chaos of our wedding with multiple family members playing wedding coordinator. When he noticed that certain tables had not gotten up to get their food, he personally went over there to tell them. Marc went above and beyond our expectations! If you're looking for professional, upbeat and fun go with Integral DJs! read more

DJ Marc Sense was one of the best wedding vendor decisions we made. Our dance floor was packed and guests were buzzing the next day at how awesome the music was and how great of a time they had dancing. We were wowed by how well he read the crowd and his ability to keep the energy up and the music flowing, all while adding in some of our unique song requests and range of music tastes. And no corny wedding stuff either (Which is what we wanted). He took the info we gave him on our music preferences and knew exactly what to do with it. DJ Marc Sense has true superior talent and I'm telling you, it was fantastic. Not only was that a highlight of our wedding, but Marc was also a pleasure to work with. He was so easy to communicate with, responsive, trustworthy and very professional at all times. I recommend booking him 100%, and you won't regret it. read more

The wedding industry is fraught with tons of BS, false promises, vendors falling short of expectations, and price gouging. DJ Marc Sense does none of this. Straight forward, professional, and most importantly, extremely skilled in both reading an audience and deciphering the desire of the clients for the music. After many references and referrals, we came across Marc's profile and inquired of his availability for our wedding at the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle. He promptly scheduled a facetime chat and once we spoke it was an easy choice. Not only did he seem to understand our varied music taste, but he was organized, diligent, and communicative when it came to customer relations. His comprehensive spreadsheet and input not only helped us structure the musical component of our wedding, but made the event infinitely smoother and creative. We did not create a set wedding playlist, but decided to let Marc read the energy, crowd, and timing, all with our taste in mind. He nailed it, and our guests continue to rave about the music. We ranged from 80's & 90's rock to 90's Hip Hop, to classic rock. Marc showed up early, set up and sound tested flawlessly, as well as set us up with lapel mics for our ceremony vows. Overall DJ Marc Sense is a no brainer choice for a well organized and fun wedding. He doesn't over do it on the microphone, but was integral in keeping the flow of the wedding timeline moving. Kudos, Marc. read more

Marc is a wonderful professional and an even better DJ. As previous reviews have mentioned, Marc did an excellent job initiating dialogue and prepping for the wedding. He was always open and available, setting aside time for skype interviews and always responding to our emails in a timely manner. Marc had us prepare an Excel spreadsheet which he used to get a real sense of who we were and what our musical tastes entailed (he even included what songs should be banned, which we thought was a clever inclusion). At the reception, Marc proved himself to be the MVP of our wedding. He did a great job MC-ing the introduction, first dance, and father-bride dance. Once the floor was open Marc drew literally every guest on to our small dance floor with well thought out songs with insanely precise and smooth transitions. I'm not kidding when I say there wasn't an available inch of space to dance because everyone wanted to move to the music he was spinning. Again, the transitions were so impressive. The song length was perfect for each song. He didn't just play one song from its start to finish, but rather played just enough of it and then transitioned to something else, which kept everyone interested and bumping. The song selection by Marc was also perfect. We had a very diverse guest list: people of all ages, nationalities, and races, and everyone was dancing. I've been to a few weddings before, but never have I seen such excitement and participation on the dance floor. Overall, Marc really made our wedding a memorable event. Everyone had so much fun and it was in no small part due to him. In every way possible, I recommend you hire Marc as your DJ if you're getting married or having any kind of event that you want music played at. I hope this review does Marc justice. It's already been 1.5 weeks since our wedding and we're still talking about how great he was. Marc will make your reception something your guests and you will remember forever. Great job Marc! All the best to you! read more

Marc was amazing and kept the party going all night long! He was professional and had all equipment available for the ceremony and the reception. If you're looking for a top notch DJ for your event you've come to the right spot - DJ Marc Sense is a cut above the rest. Marc was our DJ for our recent wedding reception in San Francisco and we couldn't be any happier. Marc was a true professional and you can tell that he takes his craft seriously, as his depth of music knowledge really showed with his selection of songs. He had everyone young and old on the dance floor all night. We received several compliments about our DJ from our guests. This is the true testament to a great DJ in my opinion. Booked Marc for our wedding last June and everything was smoooth! Kept the music flowing, that dancing non-stop. Did not regret the decision at all! read more

Marc is phenomenal! We hired him to do our wedding last weekend, and after reading all of the amazing reviews on him, he still totally blew us away. The music portion of the wedding was really important to us because we LOVE to dance, so we wanted someone who would do a great job. My dad wanted a live band but he reluctantly agreed to an awesome DJ - he has been telling me daily since the wedding what a great job Marc did! From the start, Marc was really easy to work with and professional, and we felt like he absolutely knew the ins and outs of a wedding. His attention to detail is incredible! We wanted a lot of older Motown/Funk early in the evening, and he was able to blend genres seamlessly to create a dance-party that didn't stop from the moment it started until our last dance. He even brought in real vinyl which was awesome. When our wedding guests wanted to surprise us with a flashmob, he worked with them to set up cues and keep it all a secret. He did all of the announcements and MC'd the reception but was never cheesy or cringe-worthy at all. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, and can't wait to dance at one of his amazing events! Seriously, I can't recommend him enough - you won't regret it! read more

We were so stoked to have Marc as our DJ. He was very familiar with the venue, which was reassuring, and was great about responding right away to any emails or questions we had. He played all the songs we asked for and kept the dance floor going for both our friends and family members alike. It was an added bonus that he acts as the emcee! I'd recommend him for any wedding or other event. read more

I'll start my review by saying I have worked in the wedding industry for a few years as an day-of Coordinator, and have seen my fair share of wedding vendors and DJs, specifically. My husband and I had 3 top priorities for our wedding day: photographer, coordinator, and of course, the DJ. We booked Marc TWO YEARS OUT from our wedding day, because of how important we felt this was: your DJ sets the tone and mood for your party as it gets started, and Marc could not have been any better. Even though we were 2 years out, there were email exchanges constantly checking in with us, seeing if we need anything, checking to see if there was anything he could do. As we got within 3 months of our date, he began asking for the very detailed excel sheet - this sheet, is wonderful. He WANTS to know you as a couple: what style of music you like, your husband likes, what gets you dancing, and what you absolutely hate. Listen - Marc WILL 100% have your entire wedding up, off their chairs, dancing on the floor. Marc is easy going, easy to talk to, and incredible. Easily one of the BEST vendors/decisions we made when picking our vendors. Thank you so much for everything, Marc! We love you! read more

Listen, we had a fantastic vendor team for our big day, but Marc MADE our wedding experience for us and for our guests. It was a top priority for both my husband and me, even with our diverse musical tastes (me, Seattle alternative; him, Southern hip hop), that our reception be a REAL party. Like, we wanted a sweat your head out, shoes off, spontaneous lip sync battle rapping with people you didn't know an hour ago, "THAT'S MY SONG!" every other song kind of party. So it only followed that we needed a REAL DJ with deep knowledge of, not only the music we like, but science of rocking a party. We found that and then some with Marc. In addition to killing our reception (which our friends still talk about to this day), he made sure the music for our ceremony was perfect (including editing songs down for time to our specifications, and he didn't judge us even a little bit when we chose to do our recessional to the "Ante Up" instrumental) and kept things running smoothly during the dinner speeches; so full service indeed. Also very important when you're looking for stress-free event planning, Marc was an absolute pleasure to work with. His professionalism is as impeccable as his musical skill. The whole way through, he was prompt, very communicative and responsive, open to our ideas leading up to the wedding and flexible the night of, helpful in providing guidance based on his years of event experience, and, key but often overlooked, his equipment and mastery of it were top notch. There wasn't one "technical difficulty" all night long. We'd recommend Marc a million times over to anyone who loves music and dancing, but especially if there's anyone out there who, like we did, wants their event to sound and feel like a perfect night out at the best, packed house party you've ever attended. read more

Marc is the best! He is organized, responsive, and knows how to keep the party going. Our main goal for our wedding was to make sure that our guests had fun and Marc was an "integral" part of that experience. He was able to keep music/sound going for us in 3 different locations for our wedding - and he did it seamlessly on one of the hottest days of the summer! On the day of the wedding, at any point we needed him, or even thought we might need him, he was there. Highly recommend Marc for any event or party you want to throw. Perfect combination of professionalism and fun! read more

Yes, the dance floor was full and the guests had a good time. This was my daughter's wedding on August 17 on Whidbey Island, WA. What I'm disappointed is lack of DJ's communication. We never heard him announce the special dances. For example he just started playing the song for bride and her father, my husband bride's dad was no where around and most part of song was played already by the time we brought them together. This completely ruined the special moment they were supposed to have together. My family from a different culture had a dance prepared before the cake cutting. Again he played the song unexpectedly while none of the members of my family were prepared. It's not only playing music the DJ must speak and communicate with the guests. After reading the great reviews on this page no one is gonna believe or pay attention to my concern but it's the truth. My daughter and her husband are easy going and nice, I saw my daughter thanking him at the end of the night. So he must have had a bad day personally ‍ read more

DJ Marc was awesome at our wedding last Saturday! Everyone at my wedding raved about how amazing the music was throughout the day. We had a huge variety from oldies, hip hop, new music, disney, etc. He is super professional and provided us a prepping document prior to the wedding. This was a little overwhelming at first, but music was important to me and he was super helpful when I had questions. I provided a list of music and he was able to mix it up and provide us music to keep the night poppin. Also when my husband had a request that wasn't on my list Marc was able to accommodate our request. Appreciate him focused on us and changes to the timeline and day. Thanks Marc! read more

I told Marc I wanted an epic dance party at our wedding, and that's exactly what he delivered - country music and all!!! I've gotten so many compliments on the music and dancing, and honestly, it was my favorite part of the night! All of our guests had such a blast, and I'm still hearing compliments! From a bride's perspective, it was such a relief to have a DJ that I didn't have to worry about at all (literally not at all). We opted to forgo a wedding planner, so naturally, I was stressed about making sure all of the vendors were in the right placed at the right time, but Marc was on top of everything from the very beginning. He is incredibly professional and organized, which made my life so much easier. We had a skype meeting about a year ahead of time, reviewed our playlists and wedding timeline a couple of months ahead of time, and finalized any last minute details the week before. The day of the wedding, Marc was at our venue early to scope out the wedding sites and have everything set up and ready to go for our ceremony and reception. There were no annoying questions the day of about where he should be or what time the music should start because Marc just figured it out and made it happen like a true professional. The music was timed and set up perfectly (including transitions to 3 separate sites for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception!). I'll echo some of the other review comments too - Marc is straight forward, professional, and skilled at reading the audience to keep the party going. I highly recommend Marc for your wedding, you won't be disappointed. read more

We had so much fun working with Marc for our wedding. When we first met we talked about the types of music we liked and didn't like and the type of wedding we wanted to have. He told us his job is to make sure people are dancing and enjoying themselves. He gave us a detailed spreadsheet that helped us walk through the timing of the day and outlined all of our songs for first dance, parent dances, etc. plus genres we'd like for cocktail hour and into dancing. We were also able to write down anything we didn't want him to play and whether or not we wanted guests to be able to request songs. He has thought of everything which took so much stress off of the day. After the wedding, we got dozens of comments from all ages on how much people enjoyed the music. He really kept the energy high and the dance floor full. Everyone was sad when we had to shut down. If I ever have a large party and am in need of an amazing DJ I will definitely call Marc again. read more

I got married on 10/10/2015 in Seattle and we chose DJ Marc Sense AKA Integral DJ's owner Marc Matsui as our DJ. He absolutely rocked it! I was incredibly impressed with Marc's professionalism when we first met-- he explained the process, provided an easily understandable and competitive price list of services, and showed us an incredibly detailed spreadsheet that he uses to make sure the day of the wedding goes smoothly. We met with a couple of other DJs, but it was clear Integral DJs was the best and the most competitively priced. We selected five hours of music option and asked for it to start at dinner and continue through the dancing portion of the evening. Marc sent us the contract via email and that was that-- it was so easy. I emailed Marc a lot to discuss music choices: I had to make sure had the right version of the Father-Daughter dance and I also provided him with a last minute list of salsa songs that my dad wanted at the wedding. Marc always responded to me right away, was super accommodating, and made me feel like I was in excellent hands. He even called a couple of days beforehand to confirm everything with me. The day of the wedding was perfect. Marc and arrived and set everything up while we were at the church. The reception venue asked him for music for the cocktail hour, and he kindly provided some nice background music which he absolutely did not have to do, since that wasn't in our contract. I had planned on hooking up my iPhone with a playlist for the cocktail hour since I had requested a five hour package that was meant for dinner and dancing. He was just super nice and provided some background music anyway. During dinner, Marc stuck to our desired theme that we wanted and had listed in our spreadsheet. He was a great MC; he didn't make the event about him and wasn't cheesy at all, which is what we wanted. Marc did all the announcements and kept us on our desired timetable. He was great, because he made sure people didn't miss us cutting the cake or dancing the First Dance. I've been to other weddings where I had no idea the couple was cutting the cake until after it was already over. Marc read the room extremely well and played an awesome mix of salsa music from the 70s-90s and American music from a wide era (1960s-contemporary). He kept everyone on the dance floor all night. There was an instance where he played 'Shout' and the music transitioned to a different song before the end. A lot of our guests went "Awww" because they wanted to finish it-- he quickly adjusted and seamlessly transitioned the music back to where it had been. My guests let out a huge cheer. My guests and I had a wonderful time thanks to Integral DJs. Music is an incredibly important part of wedding, and Marc went above and beyond in everything he did. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend Marc and Integral DJs to anyone seeking to have an amazing dance party at their wedding with DJs who are hardworking and who will make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire wedding planning process. read more

I insisted to have Marc as our wedding DJ after reading positive reviews about him and I can positively say that we never regretted our choice. He is one of the main reasons that our guests had a great time in our wedding. First of all, he is responsive to all my concerns and questions (which is the most important quality for me). He kept his words simple and made sure that the event was about the wedding couple. He kept the dance floor busy all night long, which was quite surprising given the age disparity of our wedding guests. Marc, we truly appreciate your work. Thanks a lot! read more

DJ Marc Sense did such and amazing job at our wedding! I was very nervous picking a DJ as I really, really did not want the typical corny "wedding DJ". Marc DJ'd our recent wedding and he was awesome! The mix of tunes he rocked kept the party crackin' until the very ending, and satisfied the range of generational and stylistic preferences of our guests. He was highly responsive to any and all of our special requests. In addition, he single-handedly provided and set up all of the audio equipment we needed for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and lighting / audio for the rockin' reception itself. We highly recommend Marc for a fantastic, energy-filled event! read more

Marc was a referral from an associate of mine. We had our wedding this past August at Axis Pioneer Square and the recommendation paid off--Marc was great! He knew the place really well and gave him very little instructions. He had the dance floor going which was packed with little kids dancing up a storm to us older folks. My husband and I snuck out of our wedding an hour or so early but I was told by my sister that there were still people on the dance floor begging Marc to play past his time since they were having such a great time dancing. Good to know that we made a great choice. read more

Words do not begin to describe what Marc meant to our wedding. Just to clarify, music was my wife and I's #1 priority...we wanted to have a dance party that everyone would enjoy and remember. Marc was the absolute shit. We "interviewed" a number of different DJs (when it comes to some of the rap we required, we knew a band wouldn't cut it) but were instantly sold once we met Marc. He was completely chill about everything, he never boasted about his skills or all the clubs he frequents, he just chatted to us about Music we liked, and how we saw the night progressing. I think it really helped that he seemed to have very similar taste as we did, so we knew we didn't have to request every single song. We went and saw him perform before the wedding too, and it confirmed our decision. One key difference that separates Marc from other DJs that I have heard at weddings is his ability to read the crowd and play hit after hit. I hate it at weddings when they play a couple of great songs and then throw in a slow song and the dance floor clears. He keeps the momentum going. Of course, he knew this is what we wanted, so that probably helped. Another thing I loved is that he also doesn't play the entire song. It's like this seamless transgression from Pop, Rap, and classics, and you cannot even tell. There literally was no down time from the moment he started spinning. Let's be honest, after you get through all the required stuff at a wedding, it's about the dance floor. And you don't want it to stop. He took requests from the right people (me and my wife), and kindly ignored the people I told him to. Marc also setup and did our ceremony. I look back at this and it was frigging awesome. Right before the wedding started, he played Take me to Church by Hozier (crushed), then as the girls were walking down the aisle, he played Skinny Girl by Bon Iver, and finally for my wife, Van Morrison Sweet Thing. We worked with him to come up with these, but they went over amazingly. I was almost in tears seeing my wife walk down the aisle to our song. No string quartet for us! If you opt to go this route, I will say one issue with this is that he spend the happy hour transferring to the dance floor area, so our cocktail hour didn't have any music. But we were outside and everyone was chatting anyway, so it worked out great. People have not stopped talking to us about the music. Marc, we love you. And my best friend, who is getting married in Chicago in 2015 is flying Marc out to do his wedding. I think that says it all. MARC IS THE MAN! read more
