Jeremiah Khan expertly handled myriad details for a large special event we recently hosted…read more He was an amazing collaborator. His scope of knowledge, flexibility (both literally and figuratively!), and enthusiasm combined to help create an incredible evening. If you are planning a special event, you'll find Jeremiah Khan at Emerald City Events to be full of great ideas and know-how. You won't find anyone more pleasant, proficient and professional!

We got married in June 2013, and had the privilege of meeting Jeremiah Kahn at Salty's on Alki …read more At the time, he worked there as an events coordinator. We are from out of the area and needed help with everything. He was very personable, very articulate and listened to what we wanted and diligently took notes. When Jeremiah left Salty's to further his own business, he had no obligation to stay with us since our contract was with Salty's, but he called us immediately and assured us that he was with us until the end. Without hesitation we decided to stay with Jeremiah and utilize his expertise to help us create the perfect night for us and our guests. Great decision and great end result. Jeremiah took all of the concepts and ideas we gave him, through email and over the phone primarily, and transformed them into the vision that we had for our wedding. He cared for every detail no matter how minute and spent the time necessary to ensure every aspect was handled precisely. He has the ability to take your thoughts and concept and make it real. We were astonished at his level of detail, his ability to visualize and his ability to deliver all that he promises. He is tireless, detailed, passionate and professional. Every part of our interaction with Jeremiah was wonderful. The colors of the flowers, the design of the tables, the food, etc were all the things he took care of. We asked and he made it happen. Our day was perfect and a wonderful way to start our lives together and Jeremiah is a very big part of that. He even found a way for us to have beautiful sun and warm winds on a June day in Seattle. If that doesn't convince you, nothing will. We recommend him highly and know that if you choose him for your event, he will deliver much more than you expect. We will recommend Emerald City Events and Jeremiah Khan to everyone we know. Sincerely, Michael and Alma Dahl

All along, Kyro simplified our planning tasks, recommended great vendors, and provided very valuable advice. On the wedding day, Kyro ran everything very smoothly, and managed to pull off an incredible event while navigating strong personalities across some of the vendors. I would hire Kyro again for any wedding or corporate event!

After the wedding, I now think this was the best money we ever spent. Throughout the day, they made sure everything was taken care of perfectly. They told me when and where to go to keep everything moving on time, they coordinated all the setup, and made sure I didn't accidentally run into my fiancé before the ceremony. After the ceremony they were kind and smart enough to set aside some appetizers for my wife and I to enjoy in our room while we took a quick breather. We were too busy with pictures to have enjoyed them otherwise. They let us know when it was time to go down for dinner, which we had opted to do outside. We had some bad luck, and it was very hot and sunny - so much so that we decided we needed to move the dinner inside, and Kyro and her team got it all sorted in minutes. Our venue had very strict rules where we would be charged steep fines if everyone (including cleanup) wasn't out by a certain time, and she and her team made sure that everything went to plan. They packed our cars with everything we had brought, making sure we didn't forget a thing. We could not have made it through without the help of Kyro and her team. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

They do offer a small gift shop with various educational toys, activities and snacks, but they encourage parents to bring snacks. It's wheelchair friendly, but they do ask that you leave your stroller in the covered designated area, or in your car. We just brought our diaper bag and snacks, but visited the car a few times for snack breaks, which you're more than ok to do, as they allow you to come and go as you need to.

There are only about ten parking spots at the building, and nothing else within two blocks. You can't park at the library next door--there was a very over-zealous parking attendant questioning people who tried--and there's no street parking either. That's a real inconvenience in the rain with young children. I went on a Tuesday morning, and it was still very packed. It doesn't seem like they limit entry, and it felt overwhelming with so many kids. We did catch a storytime session, but it was hard to see or hear anything past the first row since the microphones weren't working. Overall, it was an okay experience --fun for little ones but very crowded and a bit pricey for a half-day activity.
