    Best lasagna ever!
    tina a.

This is a great gem in Crockett. They're open Thursday through Sunday and it's family style seating. The food is authentic. The owner is passionate about the food and her business. I've been to this place like five times now... it's that good. I had lasagna and I'm hooked. It's all I can eat when I go. It's pretty pricey at $26 for the plate that does not include any sides but it is big enough for a leftover meal so that makes me feel better about the price. The table is also served bread and a great dipping oil. It has garlic, rosemary, olive oil, red pepper flakes (I think) and it is so good that you might find your bowl gets emptied fast. I haven't had anything there that was bad. I've had their Caesar salad a few times now and it's great. The fried polenta is bomb. I am not a huge fan of polenta but I saw someone eating it at the next table and I asked if it was good and they said it was. I got it the next time. Now I'm hooked on that. It's super crispy on the outside. You can feel the crunch when you cut into it but it's nice and creamy and moist on the inside. There is also a great dipping sauce for the polenta. It's one of my favorites and you should definitely try it. The bruschetta is good, but the polenta is better if you had to choose between the two. My friend had just a straight rigatoni in ragu and it was awesome too. All of the sauces I have tried have been on point. I've had the pistachio cake, which is good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. It's smooth and light and creamy, but I didn't get a whole lot of pistachio flavor in there. Last time I went I had their Italian chocolate cake. I'm still dreaming about it. Lol. It was rich, dense and everything a chocolate cake should be. They have a pretty good wine list and some beers. As I've mentioned I have been here a lot and I will keep going back for more. If you haven't gone to The Sicilian, you are missing out. It's a great space. The owner is friendly and the food is fantastic. Because it's a small restaurant there's only one waitress and one person that does all the water and picking up the table and stuff like that. Because of this it does take a little longer to get your food. This isn't a place you should expect to be in and out of. I think the owners would tell you it's an experience and to slow down and enjoy your food and your company, like the Italians.

The food here was great. We did come for the lasagne because we heard it was really good. But the night we went, they had the baked rigatoni instead. But it was also good. I still want to try the lasagne. The only dish that was a little disappointing was the salad. I thought it was under dressed. The eggplant appetizer was really good and so was the pesto. We were so full afterwards but the owner talked me into getting the lemon cake and it was really good. I'm glad I did. The restaurant was cozy and seemed to be in a converted house. I will be back for the lasagne.

Such a fun night at The Sicilian! The food was divine, very authentic!! I don't recall the names of all the dishes but they were all delicious! The pesto (always my fav) was out of this world! I am in Italy almost every summer and told the owner it's the best I've ever had.. truly. The service was spectacular! Julia, our server, was amazing... she was attentive, super sweet answering our menu questions and had an awesome sense of humor. Julia along with Justice (who was equally amazing and also assisted us) both added sooo much to our overall wonderful evening! Already looking forward to our next visit. Ciao for now

Came across The Sicilian by accident today, and so glad I did. It's the real deal...my family is from Boston's North End and this is by far the closest thing I've experienced to the food from there. Julia the owner and her staff were incredibly hospitable, too. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely authentic Sicilian restaurant! We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. They also have a wonderful selection of Italian wine at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be coming back to try some more great food and enjoy the music and Italian vibe

I don't know where to begin... incredible service, home made authentic food, great atmosphere, beautiful ambiance... just an overall great place. The owner, Julia, makes recipes passed down from her grandmother. We loved hearing the origin of where the recipes came from. The best part of eating here was the experience. The staff were so friendly and meet us laugh and feel really good and at home. It was an authentic Italian experience! As soon as we got in the car to leave, we made plans to go back again. We had so much fun.

This is an authentic Sicilian food! I took my mother here who is born in Sicily and we all loved it! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We can't wait to come back.

As you walk in the aroma of herbs and a home cooked meal greets you through the door. The ambiance is simple yet elegant and full of charm. You can sit wherever so no reservations needed. The service phenomenal and the food, like grandma made it. Delicious and heart warming. The owner has such a great personality, we felt like a neighbor had us over for dinner. This little gem is a treasure in Crockett. Go! Open Thur- Sunday. We will be back on a monthly basis.

Given the holiday, there restaurant was pretty busy when we had arrived, but we were promptly seated at an indoor table. They had some outdoor seating as well, but it was pretty chilly that evening. Now the interior is quite small almost to the point of being cramped. The spacing between tables felt like you had elbow space and then some, and the given the surface area on the tables is quite small. We had the complimentary bread & dip appetizer to share, and when our appetizer came out, the waiter tried moving around our dishes to set it down. Unfortunately that meant spilling the dip onto the ground given the crampedness of it all, and some of it did splash onto my dress and boots. Fortunately the quality of the food made up for the spill. They had a Valentine's Day-specific menu, which had some offerings not present on their regular menu. We shared the Arancini di Riso to start. He got the Pollo Milanese and I got the Gnocchi Tartufati with a side of chicken (I love my gnocchi, but I find pasta alone is never enough to fill me). We then shared a Tiramisu for dessert. We really loved how fresh and flavorful all the dishes came out to be. I was absolutely in love with my gnocchi given how light and airy each bite came out to be. The sauce made it even more addicting, as I was consuming bite after bite. The prices were very competitive for Italian food as well. We'd love to come back to try their other dishes, and hopefully we either get a bigger table next time or we sit at one of the outdoor tables.

Calamari was tender, bathed in olive oil, and was so delicious. Baby octopus had a slightly spicy tomato sauce that we dipped all our bread into to eat. The spaghetti with bottariga was simple, just salty enough, with a taste of the ocean and really highlighted the bottariga perfectly. The fettucine with sea urchin tomato cured tuna heart was also incredible with a creamy, oceany sauce coating the al dente fettucine. And lastly we had the lamb tenderloin which was perfectly rare and seasoned to highlight the lamb. Perfect amount of food for a filling dinner for three. For dessert we had the chocolate panna cotta which was cold, creamy, and refreshing. Old school Italian kind of environment felt like a time capsule. La Ciccia came up with really high rating and lots of review, so I decided to give it a try. Here're what we ordered: Spaghetti with fish roe 4/5 light, savory, pretty good Sea urchin pasta: 3/5 its a tomato based sea urchin pasta, I think I make better uni pasta tbh Ragu: 3/5 very very standard Shrimp with basil oil: 4/5 better than the pasta dishes we ordered. But a few shrimp didn't taste fresh Thin bread with cheese and rosemary: 3/5 it was very salty. Crunchy, and that's about it. Service was great, but unfortunately the food had more to desire.

Marinara was standard -potato-leek puree (4/5): came in a cute little cup to drink out of, good flavor -gamberoni (5/5): prawns were a good size and perfectly grilled. The sauce was a good addition -polette (4/5): meatballs were juicy and the pesto was flavorful and creamy. Interesting thing to have as an appetizer though -fettuccini carne (5/5): I always have an internal struggle about getting a red sauce or a cream sauce, so this was the perfect option as a creamy red sauce pasta.
