At the time we were doing remodeling of our home so we couldn't have them install the shutters right away. They were very accommodating with our time frame. When they installed the shutters, they all looked beautiful! They did fantastic job with installing them. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for shutters to be installed at your place. We think the pricing was fair as well. I don't remember pricing though but I do remember that my parents thought it was fair value. I totally forgot about them until my mom asked me last night because her friend wanted to get shutters installed so my mom asked me to find this place's info to send to her friend. :)

We were interested in changing them out for motorized shades and Rommel came out to our home for the consultation. He explained that the original cellular shades could not be retro-fitted to be motorized, so we would have to buy new sets. No problem - and totally understandable! Rommel was very patient and thorough with his explanation of why and working with us to understand our project. We ended up purchasing four sets of shades for our primary bedroom to cover two large windows with a two-layer, motorized system of black-out and light-filtering cellular shades. Rommel's installation team (Rene and Martin) were amazing - super fast, diligent, and competent! They also moved the original set of cellular shades we had to our living room, which meant we didn't lose them after all! They also updated the cord pulls for the original set, which we appreciated. The motorized shades have been such a wonderful addition to our master bedroom! We love the total darkness it provides for sleeping in -- and the automatic scheduler to lower / raise the shades as well has proven very convenient. We are VERY pleased with this upgrade. Overall, JMK Shutters offers a comprehensive, customer-first experience. Their team is knowledgeable, competent, and on-time. We have only good things to say about Rommel, Rene, and Martin and would consider them again for future work.

Then at the HMB Pumpkin Festival this past October Bay Home & Window had a booth. We stopped, talked, and make an appointment for a consultant to come out. After a scheduling delay due to overbooking at the Festival we got an appointment. On the day of the appointment the window designer Sarah was on time. Based on our needs she made recommendations which we concurred with. Measurements were taken and an order was placed. We paid 1/2 advance. Over the next two month projected timeframe we received email updates. When our product arrived to the warehouse we received a call for installation date. This afternoon our window installer arrived within the two hour window. Robert A. He was friendly and very competent. He completed our installation in 1/2 hour. We're very pleased with Bay Home & Window from start to finish.

Bart came in November 2023 at 5:30pm (he works hard!) and had all the latest laser gadgets to get exact measurements. He stayed for a few hours because I had a hard time deciding what type of window covering to get but was so patient with me and even ran five separate proposals with pricing for me. Once we decided, he warned us that it'll take months for the window coverings to be made and 3 months later we got a call to schedule installation. Oscar and another installer (I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he was awesome with the tech set up) came in March 2024 and made sure to call ahead before arriving, put shoe coverings on before entering, and were so friendly. They were quick with their work and offered to wait to ensure all the shades were connected to the gateway before they left. While they were there, we noticed one of the shade covers was slightly defective so Oscar ordered a replacement right away. It took another month to arrive and Fernando came to swap out the defective blind in less than 15 minutes. Every person I spoke to at Rebarts (estimator, salespeople, scheduler, installers) were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. It's obviously a family business that spends the time to train their employees and cares about their customers. Finally, I know it's almost ridiculous to have to point this out but stay with me...they didn't send me the final invoice until the job was completely done (i.e., after the defective shade was replaced). I'm working with a window company and they've been hassling me to make my final payment even though I've pointed out that the sliding patio door they installed was defective. While they agree that the door is defective, they said they've done their job of installing and the defective door is manufacturer's problem so they should get paid. Clearly they lack pride in their work but Rebarts does not. I would definitely recommend Rebarts to anyone.

I first checked with Home Depot and other companies, but their prices were over my budget. I found iHomeShutters on Yelp and sent an inquiry. David got back to me immediately and we scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time to take measurements, showed me different shade options, and explained the pros and cons of zebra shades in detail. David suggested doing motorized for the big window because it's too large for manual, and it turned out beautifully. I ended up choosing zebra shades, motorized for the large windows and manual for the rest. The shades arrived a week earlier than expected. On installation day, Yeyo showed up early and installed all 12 windows super fast. He also cleaned up afterward. All the shades turned out beautifully. We used Bay Area Window for four skylight shades…read more Design (Aleksandra): 5/5 Aleksandra was communicative and responsive throughout the process. She provided meaningful options and we are happy with the design. We discussed with Aleksandra that we wanted the shades installed as close to our skylights as possible, and she confirmed with the installer that that was possible. Install (David): 2/5 We did a walkthrough with David and again explained that we wanted the shades as close to our skylights as possible. He asked, and we told him, that we also wanted the solar recharging panels to be on the side where the shade collected when opened (so the panels would be less visible). To be fair, David warned us that he would likely scratch the walls and may leave gaps because the coverage around our skylights was uneven. Both of those came to pass (which I am separately fixing), but that is not why we are unhappy with the install. Rather: - Despite the fact our ceiling is flat and our skylights are flat, David installed the shades at a slight angle. When I confronted him about it, he stated he was trying to follow the wall around the skylight. I disagree that his approach accomplished that. In any event, if there were options as to how the shades were going to be installed, we believe David should have conferred with us before unilaterally making a decision. - David also installed the solar panels on the opposite side of where we discussed. David stated he had no recollection of our prior conversation. We disagree that we never discussed this, but as above, if there were options, we believe David should have checked with us before installing. After confronting David about the shade with the most severe angle he begrudgingly reinstalled it (photos attached). Aleksandra did offer a partial refund and offered to have David come back out and reinstall the shade. However, we do not have the availability to monitor David the entire time he is here, which appears to be the only way to ensure things are done as we discussed. Additionally, the 3 of the 4 corner covers have fallen from the shade that David reinstalled and we do not relish the same thing happening to the other shades. The upshot is Aleksandra is easy to work with, but if you get David to do your install you may want to supervise his work.
