They are one of two companies in the Bay Area that Will service Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades. They are the cheaper and closer of the two from Oakland. Still, mid afternoon drive to San Mateo is an hour and 30 minutes one way. They do excellent work, are very courteous and prompt. I highly recommend their service to anyone who owns Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades read more

We had a Hunter Douglas blind repaired by Dustin Ivezi today and also visited the AIM showroom. It was an exceptionally good experience. We paid a bit extra to have the repairs done while we waited, which was slightly less than an hour. Dustin even recommended a nearby lunch spot which was also excellent. Well done! read more

There are not many places that repair 12yr old Hunter Douglas blinds. I had to call Hunter Douglas directly and they recommended AIM. Dropped off my blinds and they were completely fixed in about two weeks. So happy not to have to wait six weeks for the blinds to be shipped out and back from HD as I've done in the past. Thank you for being around, close by and for providing good service. read more

We had another occasion to enlist the services of Michael Pajarillo from AIM. Their office was quick to respond and was able to get us on the schedule within two days. Michael confirmed our appointment by text the morning of, and he and his colleague arrived right on time. Once again, he fixed the problem shade quickly. Quite frankly...love this fellow. read more

Dustin came today to repair our blinds and we were very happy with his work. He was professional, polite and efficient. I would recommend this business! read more

They did a fantastic job repairing my blinds, delivered them faster than originally quoted.

I was referred to AIM Blind & Drapery by the Hunter Douglas 800 number. I had called them after getting little or no response from other Hunter Douglas representatives in San Francisco. Though they can't come to San Francisco to do installation work, they were able to help get replacement parts so that I could do the work myself. They were extremely helpful and very responsive. If I ever have to buy any window treatment again, I know where I'll go first. Thank you AIM Blind & Drapery. read more

A couple years ago one of our Hunter-Douglas honeycomb blinds broke - something went wrong with the internal mechanism. Partially due to laziness/lack of motivation, we just coped with a half-working blind and never got around to thinking about fixing it. However, we just redid our bathroom, and we decided that this dopey broken window treatment just wasn't going to cut it anymore. Since Hunter-Douglas boasts a lifetime warranty, I called their customer service and they pointed me in the direction of AIM. When I called, Mike answered the phone immediately. He was patient as I struggled feebly to explain what I needed, and then assured me that this is something he could repair. He gave me two options - either he could travel to my home and repair it there, or I could take it in to him and have it repaired in the shop for a lower price. I chose the latter because at heart I'm a cheapskate. He told me that the turnaround time is typically a few days, but there's also sameday service. I asked, well, how about tomorrow? He told me that as long as I came in first thing in the morning, he would be able to get it done the same day. I showed up just before opening, and he greeted me at the door as I approached. I gave him the blinds and asked what time I should come back at retrieve it, but he said that he'd be able to take care of it right then and there. What? That's awesome - I didn't really relish the idea of having to make another trip back up here. He took the blind to the back, and as I browsed through the store (boy, there's a lot of nice stuff here), one of his colleagues offered me a cup of coffee. I had barely begun to drink it when Mike came out with the repaired blinds, working good as new. Quick, skilled, friendly service - what's not to like about that? So, this was a remarkably positive experience. If any of our blinds break on us again, or if we just need to change our window coverings, we'll definitely make this place our first stop. read more

Mike and his brother-in-law arrived exactly at the scheduled time. Analyzed the problem we were having opening and closing Hunter-Douglas "Luminette" draperies. (Previous re-installation by a remodeling contractor was done incorrectly). VERY polite and respectful. Charged exactly as quoted. read more

They came and repaired twenty year old Hunter Douglas Luminettes. Brackets were cracked and they had the parts to replace. Check all my other Luminettes while they were here. Saved me a fortune on not having to replace them read more

Professional is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about AIM Blind and Drapery. AIM was recommended by Hunter Douglas when I called to ask them about blind repairs. I reached out to his website, and after a few exchanges (where I was the limiting factor), we sent pictures and described our blinds. Mike set up a time to visit our home, and he very quickly made the repairs, even including a tether on another blind for no extra cost. He was straightforward and honest, showed up on time, did a quality job, and his rates were very reasonable for a home visit. Highly recommended and we would use him again. read more

I had an awesome experience using AIM Blind and Drapery services for the first time. Recently our accordion style blinds inside cord snap and we were unable to open our blinds. I called AIM on Tuesday, I can't remember the women who I spoke with but she was extremely helpful and was able to assist me with my issue same day. I loved how I could text photos and my contact information. They were able to make me an appointment for Thursday - Michael was on time and efficient. He fixed my blinds in less than an hour. I highly recommend AIM Blind and Drapery! read more

Michael, the owner, is amazing. Hunter Douglas blinds are incredibly complicated and Michael somehow is able to repair them. Other folks may need to take your blinds, send them to the Hunter Douglas corporate office, and then wait for weeks for repair jobs. Michael repairs them in record time, and once your blinds are working again, your heart sings with joy. Thank you, Michael! Please find apprentices to teach your magic to! read more

Wanted to share this update. On Jan 4, the owner contacted me through Yelp messages to let me know that he checked his messages and that mine was never received. I appreciate the effort and if we decide to get another quote on the blind cleaning, I will contact him again. read more

Had a blind that needed fixed and was referred to AIM by Hunter Douglas. Very fast response time. Very accommodating to arrange drop off for repair, especially considering the Shelter-In-Place. Dropped off on a Friday and was ready for pick up Monday! Hard to beat that. Reasonable price and a one-year warranty on the work. Got my blinds re-installed and can finally sleep in again. Would highly recommend, would return for future business. Thanks Mike! read more

While they are an authorized Hunter Douglass service center, they are more expensive to do a repair on a blind than a reputable retailer, like an Interiors and Textiles would charge to fix damaged blinds. Also, they are not upfront about their pricing - the price they give at the beginning is actually an "all cash" price which they don't tell you until you pick up your repair, and if you want to use a credit card or check, the price is 20% higher. Seemed a bit scammy, charging that much higher probably so they don't have to pay taxes. You are better off sending repairs through a reputable retailer - you'll pay less, get better work done, and not be scammed. read more

I used them for a Hunter Douglas repair in the fall of 2019. Very responsive, offered a few options for repair, were able to come to our home within a few days of my request for service. Would 100% use again! read more

I was so impressed. Called to have blind repaired and they were able to come the next. Michael arrived on time with COVID safety precautions. Came in and fixed blinds and was out in 10 minutes. He was very professional and did a great job. He is the world's best kept secret. read more

After using Aim in the past to restring some blinds, I was looking to replace a broken plastic hanging bracket and only found them online with an outrageous shipping charges. Not only did Michael quickly return my call, and let me know I could get a free replacement from Hunter Douglas (in 7-10 days), he offered to try to find one he had laying around his shop. I ended up picking it up later that day. Great customer service, and I will continue to bring any drapery issues to him for repair. read more

AIM blind did a great job on the blinds in our loft. Our tenant called Mike to set up the blind cleaning. He was there quickly and on time. The blinds came back clean and looking great in less time than Mike had quoted. I should mention, our Hunter Douglas blinds had to be removed and cleaned at AIM. Definitely give Mike a call. read more

Michael Pajarillo, Company Owner of AIM BLIND AND DRAPERY, was referred to me by Hunter Douglas. I have a Duette Honeycomb Easy Rise Shade that needed repair. We were able to set up an appointment during my first phone call. Mike called the day of the appointment to make sure it was still a viable plan and called when he was within 30 minutes of arrival at my Home. He was Knowledgeable and Professional and knew exactly what the repair would entail and performed it in an orderly and complete manner. He answered all of my questions and reviewed the new process with me and had me return the demonstration. I would highly recommend Michael Pajarillo to others. Marian Cole read more

AIM just came and cleaned my living room drapes which were disgustingly dirty, covered in dog hair - they did a wonderful job, arrived on time, very professional. I would definitely use them again. They were the only company I found which comes to your house and cleans them in place. read more

I called to find out about cleaning six custom Hunter Douglas blinds that I thought might have been ruined by skim coating mud. Mike was very patient and friendly. He was booked up but said if the blinds could be brought in he'd clean them in about a week. We did a couple at a time and they are perfect. The service was reasonable priced and far far cheaper than new blinds. read more

I'm not one to bubble over with enthusiasm for any service, but Micheal's recent repair of a broken Hunter Douglas cord was impressive enough for me to post this rave review. He came on time and charged exactly what he quoted on the phone; he worked efficiently and with obvious expertise, leaving our shade in even better shape than when first installed nine years ago. My husband and I are both exacting professionals who appreciated Michael's precision - from his clean and orderly tool kit to the time he took to ensure our re-installed shade was perfect. We have 32 other Hunter Douglas window shades in the house, so whenever they need repair or cleaning, we will be having him back for an encore! read more

We had Hunter Douglas shades installed 10 years ago. One of them, a Duette Duolite with Literise would not retract. Another, a Silhouette with Easyrise, had the cord that was fraying and needed to be replaced. I asked AIM for an in-home appointment since I didn't want to dismantle the shades and take them to the shop even thought that would have been cheaper. Mike came promptly at the appointed time last Wed and had all the tools and parts he needed and did a great professional fix in approximately 30 minutes. He even replaced a cracked plastic push-pull grip that wasn't part of the order. I would highly recommend Mike and AIM. read more

The cords on two of our Hunter-Douglas blinds broke after 19 years. Mike Pajarillo, the AIM company owner, came to our house, quickly assessed the situation, and restrung our top-down/bottom-up blinds. They now work beautifully. Mike was so easy to work with; great service and very fair pricing. 5+ stars. read more

I am happy to report this company does great work. I contacted them, they were booked solid for a few weeks but that is likely because they are good. They called the day before to confirm, showed up on time, did nice work on the blinds, cleaned up after themselves, removed shoes or wore shoe covers in my home, and the price wasn't bad for in home blind cleaning. Very friendly, knowledgeable and provide extra service (new strings for my blinds) at no extra charge. This young business owner deserves your business! read more

A real estate agent broke one of my blinds and it was left very askew, and could not figure out anyone to repair it. I did a google search, called AIM and talked with Mike for an emergency repair, and he fixed the blind that day, as well as walked me through removing and replacing the blind to get it to him. Excellent, excellent service. read more

We had a blind repaired and one installed. We chose AIM based on the great Yelp reviews, and they were spot on. We are so pleased with the work. Mike, the owner, came to our house, was punctual and incredibly polite. Definitely recommended! read more

Mike is the man! Our Hunter Douglas Duette shade would no longer lift, and Mike was able to fix it as I waited and for a minimal charge. It will cost more and take longer if you have them come to your home. Why do that, though? Drive there (on the corner of Brittan and Industrial). If yours is a while-you-wait repair, then walk across the street. I enjoyed time spent in the antique shop, but you may prefer Ross or Office Depot. Mike called me quickly and I was on my way home in no time. What a wonderful experience it was doing business with AIM. read more

I was very fortunate to find this company and to work with Mike. He took the time to understand my concerns, was prompt, extremely professional, and just a really nice guy. I had to re-schedule my appointment several times as I was having a window replaced, and then had to wait until the caulking was dried, before the window treatments could be re-installed. These were Hunter Douglas Luminettes with the blackout feature purchased in 2002. It's amazing how much better they look and I am very grateful that Mike also took extra time to fix a problem with the rail for the living room, as it was getting stuck in a particular spot when opening/closing. He also reinforced it on the end with the controls, because the weight of the fabric (it's a huge full length wall window) was making the extenders sag on that side and he didn't want to risk that I may break it. My lessons learned: 1) don't wait so long to have them cleaned again; 2) call Mike at AIM - one of the most trustworthy professionals I have ever met! read more
