tl;dr: My husband and I strongly recommend Ego Blinds for high quality Hunter Douglas shades with very fast time from consultation to installation (2 weeks). We recently moved to a place that did not have blinds and began using temporary paper blinds. We originally contacted Rebarts Interiors in Los Altos as they had a done a great job with our previous place's Hunter Douglas blinds. We booked their earliest available slot for a design consultation, which was 5 weeks into the future. While waiting, we decided to check out some other Hunter Douglas suppliers. Ego Blinds was the first place we stopped by on a Saturday. Mr. Shin helped us and told us he could do our design consultation that same afternoon. He came over and measured all our windows while my husband and I tried out different color samples and made our selections. I should note that the design consultation was a bit different that our consultation with Rebarts several years prior. The Rebarts consultant gave us lots of suggestions on style, color, etc. and helped us pick the design. Our consultation with Ego Blinds was more self-directed, but this was fine with us as we had a pretty good idea of what we were interested in. Mr. Shin told us the installation would happen in about 3-4 weeks. But he actually far exceeded our expectations by installing the blinds just 2 weeks after the consultation! So we ended up getting all the shades in our house installed before the time for our Rebarts design consultation even happened! (For comparison, several years ago, it took 7 weeks for Rebarts from consultation to installation.) We got blackout Duette top-down bottom-up shades for the bedrooms and roller shades for the common areas. We got our main bedroom shades motorized, and it has been great to be able to schedule the shades to open shortly before our morning alarm (so that we wake up naturally to the sunlight). The Hunter Douglas blinds are excellent quality, and we are very thankful for how quickly Ego Blinds allowed us to ditch our temporary paper blinds. Thank you! read more

New owner this month, July 2026. Previous owner retired. New owner was not able to repair my shade because I didn't have my purchase receipt from years ago. read more

The owner is changed. The new owner said that they do not offer repair service or on-site service visit. She asked me to bring 87"x53" shades to their place. I have original invoice but she said that she does not do repair. I have 9 year-old shades from them and now I have to find another place to repair them. That's painful. read more

I want to give Ego Blinds FIVE STARS for great customer service. Eight years ago (2017) we purchased a set of Hunter Douglas top-down/bottom-up blinds from Ego Blinds. We love them. A few days ago one of the internal springs broke. I called Ego and they told me to bring them in. Unfortunately, I had tried to fix them myself, so all the parts were scattered in a mess and I couldn't even put the parts back together. He told me he would fix them under warranty, even though I had made a mess of things (normally a 15 minute job, but it was going to take two hours because I made a mess of it... but he would still do under warranty). I can't thank him enough for repairing them. They work great, now. I definitely recommend Ego Blinds. And I definitely recommend looking at top-down/bottom-up blinds if you're not already familiar with them. read more

We had Woo help us with two window solutions for the front of the house that needed some privacy that would have been hard to achieve with normal roll up shades. We were looking for top down/bottom up cellular shades and Hunter Douglas was one of the few companies that offered this. We found Ego Blinds through Yelp and met with Woo to review colors and cellular shades size. The whole process was smooth and pleasant. The shades arrived before we were ready and Woo was fine waiting until we were ready to have them installed. He came right on time and did a great job installing them. We're really happy with them and they allow us the privacy options we were looking for. Hunter Douglas (HD) is expensive, but we felt the pricing was fair within the realm of what you can expect with HD based solutions. We wouldn't hesitate to use Woo and Ego Blinds again. read more

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. They guided us through multiple visits, in-home consultation, and a quick installation that finished ahead of schedule and at better price than all the other businesses we talked to. We did different types of blinds in a living room, family room, and 4 bedrooms, and everything came out great. Thank you! read more

Shopping for new blinds for our townhome was easy and efficent with Ego Blinds & Mr. Woo. He patiently walked us through options as we visited his shop a few times before making a decision. He was over quickly to measure and to install when the blinds were ready. We really wanted to pick a local vendor and glad we went with Ego Blinds. We felt the price was fair and the Hunter Douglas quality speaks for itself. Thank you, Mr. Woo! read more

Our installation was super fast and the whole process was very smooth! Great communication and competitive pricing. Highly recommend!

Mr. Woo restrung 1 ladder for our blinds and saved the day! We brought it in in the morning and picked it up the same day. Thank you, Mr. Woo, we appreciate your help and expertise! read more

We had just a tiny repair need, and Mr. Woo was very gracious and efficient. Would definitely return to Ego Blinds.

We had blinds installed in our home office by Ego Blinds. Mr. Woo came to our home and gave us an estimate based on all of our preferences. We finalized all of the details at the store and a few weeks later we had our blinds. We opted for a higher-quality blind and were happy with the product and how it has been working. We liked the service and with so many options to choose from, I felt like we got the blinds that fit our space the best. read more

Ego Blinds installed Hunter Douglas blinds on my living room sliders - it is a very elegant look. Worth looking into if you need to update slider shades. Automatic opening and closing was easy to set up. We also had Ego Blinds help us figure out window coverings for a nonrectangular window. They came up with a great solution! Check out their showroom- it is small but there is a good selection! read more

When you're hunting for Hunter Douglas, Ego Blinds is a prime contender! The owner is super nice, shows you all the various options, and then pulls out his magic binder if you weren't confused already with the limitless options. He provided us with a super competitive rate. It's great to support this local business and would happily recommend him and come back again! read more

I usually do not use YELP, but Woo, aka Mr. Shin, Owner, is worthy of a big YOU ARE AWESOME shoutout. Using their website on the day after Christmas, I sent a query requesting help with replacement batteries for our motorized shades; the battery canisters were on windows way too high for us to reach. Woo responded immediately, AND he came to our house THE NEXT DAY and got us up and running again! Going forward, I'm using Ego Blinds for future window covering purchases. Customer service goes a long way now a days, and Woo went above and beyond ‼ Thank you read more

Great personal service. Timely and quick. I got exactly the custom shades that I needed installed.

Mr Woo privided excellent service with the Hunter Douglas blinds we ordered. The bl.inds arrived quickly and Mr. Woo personally came to deliver and install them, He clearly has many years of expetise and knowledge on window blinds. I highly recommend Ego Blinds and Mr. Woo. read more

We really enjoyed working with Woo, the owner of Ego Blinds. I most gave up on getting Hunter Douglas blinds because they were price prohibitive (not all places offer the same pricing) when somehow Ego Blinds came out in my search. Woo gave me a directional quote over text and was able to come out the next day to do measurements! Once the blinds arrived, he wrote me immediately for delivery and installation. The best part of the process was that Woo is the installer himself, vs many of the other Hunter Douglas outlets that may use hired folks to do the installation. The shop isn't as fancy as some other outlets but expect to get attentive service. He carries everything the other outlets have. read more

The owner exactly appeared on time and provided all necessary technical information of each products. He tried to clean all trash and installed the products with high cares. The hunter douglas is a premium brand and I have been using the same brand through 3 houses without any single problem. Great quality and great customer service from HQ. Just reach out to HQ for spare parts and they will mail it. There are many inexpensive options available. Everything is a trade-off. I decided to prioritize quality and performance. To me, working with a store where the owner and installer are the same person would guarantee the best performance and outcome of hunter douglas products. Ego blinds will be the place. Please be aware of that Ego blinds might not be the place offering the lowest price but can offer the best quality and service. Kindly remind that hunter douglas is supposed to be very expensive. read more

Highly, highly recommend Ego Blinds and the owner, Woo for blinds and window treatments. Their prices for Hunter Douglas blinds are fantastic, and most importantly, Woo, the owner is the one that comes out to your home to measure and then install the blinds. No pushy salespeople coming to your house trying to sell you more, no separate crew coming to your house to install. He does it all. The installation he performs is incredible - very neat and tidy, fast and efficient, and perfectly done. We're very pleased with the results and have recommended him to all our friends who are looking to redo their window treatments. read more

Excellent help in picking out the right solutions and diligent work installing everything. First rate service!

My experience with Ego Blinds and Mr Woo has been amazing. He came and showed us all the different blind options and was upfront and honest in pointing out the pros and cons of each design. We ended up getting blinds for our entire house done with him and since then have had to reach out to him for minor issues and he is always prompt and responsive. His work is impeccable and he really takes care to make sure the install is perfect. Since then, we have referred him to several of our friends and all of them have only positive things to say about their experience. Highly recommend Ego Blinds and Mr Woo for their great customer service and best in class products. read more

Woo is a really hard working, helpful guy! He installed Hunter Douglas blinds all over our house himself!! They look great and are extremely high quality, and have been holding up well over the years. Thank you woo! If we need to get new blinds ever again for a new place, would definitely want to work with Woo again! read more

Woo and Ego Frames and Blinds are fantastic. High quality blinds and Woo will personally come and install the blinds in your home to your satisfaction. We had ordered a few Hunter Douglas blinds that were a little too long after renovation was complete, but Woo was able to cut them down and size them perfectly. Very easy to work with and solid quality products a reseller of the best blinds and frames out there. The prices were reasonable compared to other resellers. Highly recommend Woo and Ego Frames and Blinds! Andy - read more

Compared prices and got the best at Ego Blinds in addition to great service. The ordering was easy and the blinds arrived on schedule. The installation was perfect and fast. Would definitely go to Ego again for other window blinds. read more

I had Hunter Douglas NewStyle shutters installed by Ego Frames and Blinds after I replaced my windows. I got three estimates and Woo's estimate was the best by a significant margin. He was able to come out and measure my windows the day after they were installed. I wanted to keep the old blinds for one of the windows, and he re-mounted them on the spot for free. The shutters came in early (just took a week) and Woo came out and installed them the same day. The installation was quick and looks great. read more

Had a great experience here. Blinds were fixed very quickly (30 minutes!). Woo was very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were very fair.

I had a very positive experience with Ego Frames & Blinds. Mr. Woo explained things in detail during the selection process and helped me pick blinds that would work best for my bedroom window. The delivery was quicker than estimated and installation was quick and clean. Mr. Woo was respectful of my place and removed his shoes in my bedroom without me even asking. Overall, it was a very good experience. read more

Just had my blinds installed, very happy with quality and service! Though the blinds delivery was delayed (like all other goods, not owner's fault) but the owner is very responsive to questions. Highly recommended! read more

I called Ego Frames and Blinds last week and scheduled an in-home consultation for 9 AM last Friday. After staying home from work and waiting 45 minutes with no one showing up, I called them to try to find out why no one had arrived yet. No one picked up the phone, so I left a voicemail requesting that they call me back. It's been nearly a week and I haven't heard back at all. Unfortunately, you only have one chance to make a good first impression, and the lack of communication from Ego Frames and Blinds has left a bad one for me. So if you're considering Ego Frames and Blinds, it might be worth it to double confirm appointments with them. I'm still hoping that I will hear from them so that I can get an explanation as to why I haven't been contacted at all, but I definitely won't be using them for our window treatments. read more

I had a small issue with the blinds and after spending close to $6000-- they wanted to charge me $100 dollars to come at and fix small issue - I would not do business with this company, their products are way overpriced, make sure you get a second bid--guarantee it will cost less -- like 30% cheaper. read more

I was able to communicate with Woo via email regarding a cord that I needed fixed on an old set of blinds. I sent him photos, he responded quickly and gave me a quote, I drove over, and he had it fixed in less than 10 minutes for a very fair price. Made my day. read more

I found this place through Yelp. Had gotten 3 quotes. I liked that this is a local small business and the owner, Woo, is super nice. He came out to measure within 2 days. All other places made me schedule for 3 weeks out. Woo himself did the measurement and even the installation. He's very neat and cleaned up completely after the install. We had a lot of questions as we were ordering a pretty high end brand of Hunter Douglas half-automatic blinds. Never once did he rush our decision or push us towards a higher price point. His showroom has lots of examples and he was patient to explain and show us everything. When he was done with the install, he noticed one set of blinds was a bit too short. Only by no more than 1/4 inch. I wouldn't even have noticed. He automatically said he would get them replaced free of charge from Hunter Douglas and did the paperwork for us. He came back within a week to install them. He's always able to come out to your house within short notice, especially within the local area. Love his service, attitude and knowledge. Highly recommend! read more

I've had my blinds for two years now. And I wanted to finally give my review. Woo was a wonderful sales person and helped get these measured and made then installed. I've since had to get one repaired (I think in-laws that stayed in that room were fairly rough on them). Woo handled the repair and they're doing just fine. Especially happy that we got the black outs. read more

Had two blinds got stuck in the tilt mechanism, so I brought them in for the repair. The staff inspected it and found the solution quickly without charging me for the time they spent. I will absolutely recommend this place for their profession. read more

Fantastic service. After selecting a style in the showroom, Mr Woo came in immediately to do measurements and brought his sample books so that we could decide on color. He came to install the very day that the blinds arrived to his store and came after hours to do the installation which we needed. The blinds themselves are beautiful but the service was really unbelievable. Mr. Woo is a pro who is meticulous, quick and super prompt. Great experience. read more

Needed to repair my top down, bottom up cellular blinds that I purchased from 3-Day Blind's. After 3-day refused to repair them for me, I found this place. Great service and great price. I was quoted a price to repair the strings, but turned out that the internal mechanism needed fixing and blinds had to be sent to Hunter Douglas for repairs - no extra charge! If you need repairs, I would highly recommend this place!!! read more

My experience with Ego Blinds was great!!! Mr. Woo was very meticulous about measuring different sizes of five windows in my house. Very good experience with Ego Blinds. The gentleman came out the day I called, just later that evening and took measurements and gave me a quote. It was similar to what I had received from the Blinds vendor at costco, but the complete experience was so much better! Ego blinds emailed me the contract as we were talking and I gave him a check for 50%. He said he would be back in about 10 days (mind you the installation time at costco blinds was 6 weeks!)... Well in exactly a week he returned and installed most of the blinds. One had a measurement issue so he returned a week later for that window. But within 2 weeks of my call to Ego blinds, I had new blinds. Great experience, prompt and efficient. Highly recommend- and would use Ego again for certain. Stay away from the costco blinds people- flaky, don't show up when they set appointments, or reply to email questions. read more
