Greeko's Grill & Cafe - Best Lamb Gyro Pita in the TriCities!

Greeko's Grill & Cafe

Came here on a whim while passing through, we were hoping for a more authentic feel but this spot…read moreis fast-food Greek. We were seated right away as there weren't but a few tables occupied on the Tuesday evening when we arrived. We both had the lamb gyro, which had a good taste. The server was welcome and the place was clean. I'd come back if in the area.

The place has its own desserts as well, but if you've seen a dessert by Anthony you'll have trouble turning that down. Which unfortunately, I did turn down; I did buy several of them, but I let other people eat all of them and didn't get any myself. I hear they were fantastic. All three Greeko's locations are presently offering these top quality desserts, for which I am very happy. Maybe there will be an independent dessert shop again someday, but I'm happy for another reason to come here. As to the actual Greek food, it is also well worth coming for. I got a sampler platter and enjoyed mixing my grape leaves and falafel in hummus and tzatziki. A few whole chickpeas and some spices definitely elevate the hummus. There are a few options I would like to try if I had more room or more time, as the menu has plenty of labeled offerings for special dietary needs and you can really get some nice variety. The interior is quite large, and although drive-through and takeout business seemed good, there were plenty of people here as well, and I expect continued success for them.

Blended Pedaler - Avocado toast and cold brew

Having heard pluses and minuses about this business, I finally decided to check it out for myself…read more Visiting the one on Piedmont in Bristol, I was greeted with a simple yet pleasant environment. The cashier was friendly and waited while I perused the options before ordering. I chose a protein blend drink and placed my order. Here is where my choice of a three star review comes in. I would strongly suggest you order online and avoid a possible long wait in person. You see, my wait was quite lengthy due to an online order of multiple bowls. These occupied the one employee making orders. If I could suggest that they designate a person for online orders and one for in person orders, the annoyance of a long wait would be avoided. Anyway, once I received my order, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some have complained about high prices. If you are knowledgeable about the ingredients and their costs, the prices are in line and acceptable. I will return to try one of their bowls, after I've ordered it online

We had ordered this to go and added a fried egg and home and its PERFECTION. The açaí bowls are top notch. The Bermuda bowl and the sunshine bowl are wonderful. The Bermuda bowl is sweet and a little bit tart and the Nutella is a great add. The almond butter in the sunshine bowl makes a savory bowl.

This is an early stages luxury resort that is hitting full stride in 2026 having opened in 2022 and…read morerecently awarded 4 stars by Forbes. The main building is a lovely and spacious modern inn that balances comfort and traditional elements with open and wide modern floor plans and bright spaces in a pleasing way while retaining the cozy fireplace experiences of more traditional settings. A first floor outdoor veranda opposite the main entrance stretches the length of the main building overlooking the well groomed hillside vineyards and a stocked, picturesque fishing pond. The hillside stretches up the horizon and with the westward facing veranda, offers stunning sunset views along with wine service. Below is a patio off the main restaurant and bar offering even more seating around fire pits with couches and Adirondack chairs with appetizer and drinks available for the bar/restaurant. We toured a king 2 room suite with a large sitting area separated from an equally large and well appointed sleeping area with a private large balcony that also faced the western sunset over the vineyards. The rooms were described as more akin to an apartment whereas the 9 onsite yurts accommodations were described more akin to a condo, described as pet friendly and a quiet community. Behind the yurts is a large barn structure that serves as a tasting room with an outdoor seating area with Edison lights strung around the overhang creating a warm space to enjoy the vineyards end production, currently nine wine vintages. Beside the main building are two much larger shaped yurt structures housing a full fitness center and a spa as will as an outdoor pool. We dined at Hickory for dinner and enjoyed their farm to table, Appalachia oriented menus. That will be a separate review but it hits 10/10 for hospitality, service, presentation and food excellence. We plan a fall trip for an overnight stay when the vineyards come in just before harvest to get the full experience! Also, we initially had a glass of their Chardonnay and being pleased with this, we opted to enjoy a bottle with dinner even though the wine list had equally excellent choices from familiar vineyards. This is highly recommended!
